While my wife has never had a root canal before, she's had a lot of dental work performed. She said that Dr. Davis was terrific, and so was his lovely dental assistant. My wife highly recommends Dr. Davis and his very professional staff. Frederick C.

The first thing the doctor said after checking $200 worth of CT scan and over $50 worth of x-rays is "I don't know." He said that he might do a root canal but first they gotta check with the insurance if they will pay or no. Some days later, I receive a call from the old lady that works at the front desk, talking about money and payment, and when I asked her about a charge that was on my dental insurance, she started acting like she cannot hear me, and from the way she acted, it was obvious that she was making it up. The moment I walked into the dentist, it was obvious that all they cared about was the money, not to treat people because they spoke to me more about money than about my condition, especially the front desk lady. She's very unprofessional and she kicks clients away with her attitude.

Went in due to problems and they basically forced me to do another procedure on the spot with local anesthetic and said I had to pay another $900 for it! On top of all that, the office manager, Nineva, was very dismissive and unempathetic. I wouldn't wish the past month of nightmares and pain on my worst enemy. The worst thing is I feel like all of this was probably avoidable. On the bright side, one of the dentists there, Jason Brenner, was very nice and did what he could for me. Came in as a new patient for Dr. EMILY CHEN, but somehow Dr. SANA BAIG saw me instead. It was not a huge deal to me at all since she gave me some solid advice. Now my main complaint about this place. As new patient, they did Xray first, then Doctor check, then cleaning. The Xray technician was horrible. It took him a total of 25 mins to just to get everything correct. Never had someone took that long to get all the xray necessary. HYGINIEST. I've been going to dentist religiously for quite some time now and I have never, ever had a horrible hyginiest experience ever until I got here. Even working as solo, a lot of hygienist are able to properly do their job and not make a mess on patient's face. 1. Why does hyginiest gotta ask me if im okay every 20s? It was already established that i would raise my left hand if I wanted to stop whatever she was doing. 2. Too much water I might as well bring a soap and shampoo and take a shower. She wasn't attentive of overflowing water in mouth and would say "I was focused on cleaning your teeth".. 3. Why she gotta physically close my mouth after saying close your mouth? People know how suction works.. ‍‍‍ Like hello?? Never had a hyginiest physically close my mouth just to do suction! 4. She didnt Floss under my bridge and she was "teaching" me how to floss. She also left a broken piece of floss in between my teeth and she didnt noticed it until I said redo the part since i feel something stuck in my teeth. 5. Always looking whos walking by like hello focus your eyes on me. That's why you didnt notice if water is leaking out of my mouth. She looks like she's not confident with her work or asking validation if shes doing a good job‍‍ 6. Xray tech took forever to do xray smh. Do better. Are you even supposed to use your hand to prop the device? This guy really placing his hand in radiation zone.

Walking to pick up lunch one day, I passed Sodini dental on Oakton, and knowing that I needed to get back to the dentist and looked up their reviews to see if this would be a good place to maybe try and become a new patient. I slid down a slippery slope through Covid and since, after moving away from my previous dentist and some extensive and ongoing health issues impacted my life. I called and was able to make an appointment for a couple months out - I was pleasantly surprised that they were taking new patients and that I didn't have to wait that long in the scheme of dr's offices for a new patient appointment. They do send text reminders as well which I appreciated. Doré at the front provided my new patient paperwork and checked me in. She was nice and efficient. Therese was my hygienist and I am so grateful and lucky that she got my appointment. I was transparent and disclosed it had been almost 7 years since my last dental appointment. I had been diagnosed with several conditions that are ongoing that have impacted my entire life tremendously, and paired with Covid and moving, time passed so quickly until we were here. Therese was patient and kind and made me feel incredibly heard. I know many people (myself included) who have anxiety build as time passes fearing judgment from dentists when we finally do make it in, and I need to stress so clearly here that Therese was so understanding, empathetic, and validating, especially with consideration to my ongoing health struggles. I was immediately so relieved and relaxed to continue with the visit AND ongoing dental care. We did a whole slew of x-rays since it had been so long since my last, and we also decided periodontal scalings were appropriate for cleaning my teeth and getting me back on track as well. Therese was communicative and gentle throughout the entire appointment and stressed my comfort over and over. We did split the scalings into two appointments, and I came back a week later for the second half of the cleaning. They made sure to book me with Therese at my request. I cannot articulate clearly enough how much the staff here made sure I was comfortable through my appointments. Unheard of in my previous dental office experiences. Dr. Sam saw me for my exam and she is incredibly kind, my experience with her was also very positive. I'm so grateful to have accidentally found an office with so much empathy and kindness in addition to professionalism, efficient administrative staff, and a very clean office. I know Sodini Dental has been a part of the community for a long time, and I selfishly hope they continue to be so. My insurance is out of network with the office, and I knew this going in to my appointment, and agreed to out of network costs. Out of network costs are generally not cheap, this was no exception, however billing and payment were both easy and transparent. We set up my next appointments for this year before I left from my second visit, and I was able to pay my balance without issue. Thank you Sodini Dental for a great and easy experience!

That's how wonderful this staff is! They're all sweet as can be and very kind and none of them are in too much of a hurry to just shoot the breeze with you, as our most places these days. Too often, people are so stiff and business-like that they forget what it's like to relate as humans, but not these people, and I love this about them! Dr. Olguin is very professional but also very relaxing per his speaking voice. And even though it's easy to tell that he's smart as can be, he doesn't come off as condescending or stodgy. He's the best! One of the reasons that I've put off periodontal work is because I was so afraid that I'd go to a clinic that'll do whatever they can to squeeze a lot of money out me - and I don't have a lot of money - but even though today was my first visit, I can tell that this clinic isn't like that. The office is very, very modern with what appears to be the latest technology and very, very clean and comfortable. I'll recommend anyone and everyone to Dr. Olguin!
