The entire experience from speaking with Marie, to being x-rayed by Sylvia, to the actual extractions was executed with professionalism, passion and compassion making sure I was put at ease. Listening as Dr. King did his initial examination it was clear that he was comfortable in his craft and expert in it. He and Sylvia worked quickly and seamlessly to remove two of my wisdom teeth assuring I suffered no discomfort. The constant reassurances that I was doing a great job seem funny since they were the ones doing a great job! Sylvia told me what to expect in terms of timing of return of feeling after the anesthesia. She gave me the To Dos and the Do Not Dos which were reiterated by Marie as she checked me out. I appreciated the treatment plan I was provided based on my exam without even a soft sell. The practice is done with what seems to be the latest technology in an office that is well appointed and inviting. In addition to receiving written post-op instructions I received an email a few hours later with additional post-op instructions and reminders. I'm writing this as the anesthesia has worn off and my pain seems manageable with the medication Dr. King prescribed. I want to thank Dr. King for his great medical care and for casting a shadow of leadership that makes his team feel and act as collaborating partners bringing a winning experience to their patients. A woman (black, I assume) answered the phone with the greeting of "this is such and such office, how can I help you?" I spoke kindly by saying "hellooo, I'm calling to see if you all are accepting new patients?" And lo and behold, she hangs up the phone. I'm sure you're wondering how do I know that. You could literally hear her place the phone down on the receiver. Girl, that is NOT a good look. I did call back and received a different receptionist whom had a slight accent. Everything went well at first, they were to schedule one side of my mouth at a time. They extracted one side it was fine, I then returned a few weeks later for my 2nd side, but the dentist only extracted one wisdom tooth, for some reason I wasn't scheduled to have both done! I did schedule my extractions and it was their idea to have both done, so I assumed that's what I was scheduled for. So I went to the girl in front, this was on a Saturday, I assured her that I would zelle the money on Monday, I would've paid prior to the surgery, but I wasn't aware of the error THEY made with the scheduling! So the receptionist said. "NO! If you have dental work done today, you have to pay today" Needless to say, I will not be using them for my Invasalign treatment. It's a shame too because I had planned on documenting it on my social media pages. For I know that this will help advance my career and will get whomever does my treatment a lot of publicity.

During my last 2 visits, they have aggressively pushed me to undergo more x-rays. I have explained to them that I had a sister that died of oral cancer at the age of 37. I also explained to them that the ADA (American Dental Association) stated that x-rays typically are only required every 3 years. Today, they waited until I was sitting in the chair and told me if I don't get x-rays today, then I would have to leave. I pointed out to them they could have called me to tell me that and I could have made an appointment with a more ethical dentist. And, by the way, the dentist never came out to tell me any of this. She relied on her poor dental hygienist to give me the unethical news. Apparently, their need to upsell you and to maximize their profits is more important to them than their patients health or desires.

I never thought I'd be writing this, but I wanted to share what happened during my time as a…read morepatient here. I was originally a patient when Dr. Daisy was there. I had two extractions with her and then started an implant process with Dr. Patel in 2022/2023 after Dr. Daisy left. Over almost three years, I went through three different attempts at getting a crown, and each time seemed more painful than the last. As time went on, I felt like I was bothering them whenever I called them about the pain or mentioned that the implant felt loose. Between the second and third crown attempt, I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me the crown was loose and suggested I go back to let them know. When I returned and mentioned this, I was told it was normal to "feel" that way. It wasn't until I explained that another dentist had confirmed it that they removed the crown and said they'd send it back to the lab. After over a year of this, I honestly started questioning whether I was imagining the pain. The third crown attempt became loose the very next day after it was placed. During my final appointment, Dr. Patel explained that she could bury the implant or I could find an oral surgeon on my own or she could recommend one, to have it removed, as she couldn't take it out herself, despite being the one who had put it in. I decided to seek another opinion and eventually saw an oral surgeon who referred me to a prosthodontist. The prosthodontist confirmed that something was genuinely wrong - the implant hadn't integrated properly, which explained my constant pain. He explained that if I didn't have it removed, I risked serious complications like infection. I found an oral surgeon who removed the implant, which I had to pay for myself. Now I'm recovering from that surgery and, because the process took so long, I need additional corrective treatment. This has put me in debt with more procedures ahead of me. The financial stress on top of the physical pain has been really challenging. What's been hardest is that I put my complete trust in this practice.  The ongoing pain was emotionally draining, and feeling like my concerns weren't being taken seriously made everything worse. I've also had some administrative issues - I actually had to ask for a refund, which really should have been obvious given the failed treatment, and I still haven't received anything back. Email replies take days and days for responses.  My membership also hasn't been canceled and my payment information is still in their system, which adds to my financial concerns. This reflects my personal experience at this practice. Looking back, I wish I had made a different choice about where to have my implant done.
