5.28.26 I hadn't…read morevisited a public library in decades, but over the past few years I've rediscovered my love of reading--especially memoirs. I had been purchasing books online through thrift retailers, but a friend suggested borrowing them from the library instead to save money. After browsing the library's website, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection of newly released memoirs available. I'm now saving a significant amount, and the three-week borrowing period is generous--especially with the option to renew if there are no holds. The library itself is spacious, bright, and very welcoming. While I haven't fully explored it yet, it appears to have dedicated areas for children and teens. In addition to books, I noticed they offer DVDs and have far more computers than I remember from the library I used to visit in Montgomery County decades ago. The staff I interacted with while setting up my library account and locating newly released memoirs were both knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciate the convenient exterior features, including a book drop located right out front and a parking lot with an awning that provides coverage for cars. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with what this library has to offer and the welcoming service I've received so far.

Been to this library twice now and I love it! Solar paneled covered parking which is really nice…read morefor the summer. Connected to a senior community center that has programs for 55+. Most importantly, printing is FREE for black and white, unlimited no log in or library card needed. Color printing is $0.75 per page. Librarians are super helpful and when I did come into the library the book displays were really well done (I just finished one of the books recommended from the display!). It's a beautiful space. Highly recommending coming to this branch!

My daughter got her very first library card today and she was so excited to use it. I love the "teen" area that they have filled with tables and YA books. I love that the teens have a specific area all to themselves.

A great place to take the kids…read more.. Love the children's area! There is a decently-stocked play area with toys and games appropriate for kiddos ages 6 months-5 years. There are usually coloring and activity pages available near the children's librarian's desk as well. The staff in the area is helpful and courteous. There is a children's restroom in the kids' area complete with toddler-sized potty and changing table. There is a changing table in the lobby women's room as well. There are usually plenty of parents around, and if you're a nursing mom, you'll never get the evil eye here (though you shouldn't get it anywhere, y'know?). Throughout the year, the library offers programs for children of all ages. These range from Babies in Bloom (newborn-24 months) to teen classes and workshops. I'd love to give the West County Area Library five stars, but I just can't get past the modern architecture and the somewhat sterile vibe. I guess that I just like a library to have some character (and no, that doesn't mean cobwebs and card catalogs; just a more traditional look).
