I come to this library primarily to use the study rooms which are nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a white board inside of them as well. My favorite part of this library is the display of African American baseball artifacts on multiple levels. It shows how important, valuable and the great contribution African Americans players made to the sport of baseball. Park on the garage level.....maybe on floor 3 of the garage which had a small bridge to enter the library directly. Also, The community college shares the upper floors of this library as well which includes larger study rooms and an entire computer lab. The staff is really helpful as well. Will definitely be back time and time again

The plethora of play centers and a dedicated kids space offers a safe and interactive option for parents and caregivers. Checkout the event calendar for events and programming for all ages. My mom has also used their inexpensive printers as well.

Although, I know how to find items on the shelf, I was treated to an awesome tour by a librarian name Robby. He was knowledgeable in what I was looking for and so professional. He had a warm and ready smile and invited more questions to ensure I had what I needed. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that was there Saturday 10/14/23.

I did have the opportunity to use the library briefly. In addition to a library, this locale is a senior center. I love this idea, as there should be a place where seniors can go to have activities. I believe that the senior center is on the upper level. The library is on the lower area, nice in size and nicely organized no complaints there. Here lies my issues: Parking. Wowza. It is limited. Despite there being parking in the front, side, and a parking lot behind the library it still appears to be limited based on the volume. Be careful where you park, because you will be towed! The meeting room is pretty cool; however, it can be a wee bit loud as the door is quite heavy and slams, additionally you can hear just about everything from folk in the restroom to the elevator being operated. It isn't ideal but it definitely meets the need.

She asked me how she could help me and before I could full say "I'm here for a resume review" she said "with?" which wouldn't have been an issue; however, she said it in an annoyed and curt tone. Once I realized she'd cut me off and had an attitude for no reason, after all I'd just entered the door, I asked where could find the Workforce Development staff. She pointed down the hall. No one answered the door when I knocked and I didn't see anyone so I had to go back to the front desk **sigh**. She told me I had to have an appointment, which I explained that I did. She went on to say that this is the CCBC desk. I was confused as CCBC and Maryland Workforce Development share the space so I looked around trying to determine if I'd used the wrong entrance. No, I didn't there is only one way in. The staff member I had an appointment with came out and apologized as she'd heard me knocking but was away from the door for a moment. She then apologized that they have to keep their door locked which wasn't the issue at all. I say all this to say CCBC if you are going to have a receptionist, please hire one that understands that she is out there to greet and direct guests. You all share a space. If it is an issue for her to deal with those who come in to see the Workforce Development staff perhaps you all should sever the arrangement. We are trying to look for work, develop our skills and get help from the Workforce Development staff. Dealing with your employee's nasty attitude is not something that any of us need at this time.
