After calling a few places, they all felt that a single window wasn't worth their time so I used Yelp's feature to send a standard request template to multiple companies at once, and Steve with HHI responded immediately. His schedule was about two weeks out which was no problem for us since the issue didn't involve cold air seeping into the house. He was finished in less than one hour and very reasonably priced. We spent a few minutes discussing what other services he offers and I'll 100% be asking him to take on our future needs.

He spilled mortar all over our concrete steps on the side of the house, tiled shut our kitchen door leading to the outside, missed grout in numerous locations, refuses to fix a cracked tile due to it not being laid properly, won't put our basement door back on, and took the feet for our oven and refuses to bring them back. We've been asking for over a month and keep getting the run around. I will be more than happy to change this review to a positive one should he return.

Since we were in an emergency situation, Steve was able to assemble a crew quickly after their scheduled job and worked on our house tirelessly till about midnight and cleaned everything up and was super courteous. Steve and George came out on a Saturday to finish up trim work and putting in the screen door (had to wait for caulk to dry). Steve is unlike the other contractors I've worked with, he shows up and keeps his word and will be there till it's finished to customers satisfaction. Will definitely use him again if needed. I only wish I had met up with them sooner…read more I had hired another contractor to install a truss roof over a commercial building but later noticed he was doing a shoddy job. I kept asking him to correct it, but eventually he just disappeared and never returned my calls. I then got in contact with Tom from Herks Home Improvement and he came over, assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. He and his crew were on-site within days and immediately began to undo the other contractor's mess. They re-installed the trusses the correct way, installed the sheathing, proper underlayment, shingles, gutters, soffit, fascia, and everything else associated with a new roof. They finished the job in a few days and on budget! I was mostly impressed with their neatness, professionalism and attention to detail. They are the real deal! I strongly recommend Herks Home Improvement. I wish I could give 10 stars instead of just 5.
