If you're looking for a patio cover, you really need to hire HHI! My wife and I had a concept in mind and reached out to four companies. All four came out and looked, and while we got three quotes, only Ivan Rios with HHI took the time to listen to us, evaluate our existing patio, and then work with us on ideas, features, and the end result...and HHI's bid was much less than expected. One of the most impressive things about HHI, they take no money down! Ivan told us that they are willing to stand behind their work, and they would not accept a penny until the structure was constructed and the roof was completed. The balance would not be due until 100% completion and we were satisfied, and that's exactly what happened. Of course, we hired HHI. During the project, two employees of HHI were on site every day. They were courteous, professional, friendly, diligent, respectful and they are true craftsmen through and through. HHI also had other trades work on the project as required (e.g., electrical, roofing), and we can say the same for them as well. Ivan came by throughout the project to ensure we were happy and that things were progressing as we expected. It was exciting to see the progress they made every day, and we were able to see the thoughtfulness Ivan had put into the design with each passing day. At the end of every day, the crew cleaned up so that we could move freely around the patio and our backyard. We did have a day where rain prevented work, but except for Sundays the crew was there every day until the project was completed. They finished in two weeks, just like Ivan said they would! The finished patio cover was more than we could have ever expected. The folks at HHI are truly dedicated to providing excellent service and work, and it shows throughout the finished product. The fact is that it is hard to express in words how happy and grateful we are that we hired HHI, met Ivan, and got to meet his team. We simply could not be happier! I want to start off by saying that the end result was FANTASTIC. Hugo is the most stand up guy in the business. I looked at 4 places to do the work and Hugo was the only one that came out in person to do the estimate where as everyone else just gave me a quote over the phone. His crew is outstanding and very nice and professional. I can not say enough about the character of Mr. Hugo Torres because he and his crew go the extra mile to make sure you are pleased with their service. The style of my house is a cottage style that has no brick so the jobs they do fit the style of your home no matter what type it is and when complete, actually looks like it was part of the home to begin with. It is truly amazing to see. Work like this is worth the money you spend because it is an investment and greatly increases the value of your home no matter what style it is. Every home is different so the cost of each project will be different and Hugo will be straight up and honest on his estimate but I guarantee you that when the job is complete you will be glad that you picked him among all the others. Thanks to the whole crew who have built this beautiful carport! Big shout out to Allan and Walter, the main guys for this construction! Also, thanks to Pablo and Hugo with their good customer service! We're very pleased with the carport. Of course, it was not a smooth sail at first and the cost is significantly higher than other contractors, but it's worth every penny! Every one of the crew is hard working, polite, honest, and most of all, they do the works with care. We just want to let them know how grateful we are to them with all the works they've done for us! Just 3 suggestions we would like to make with HHI: 1. Safety gears for the crew. Make them wear mask and safety helmet with face shield. Besides, have proper scaffolding for the job. 2. Things moved faster with HOA and City if you could get homeowners more involved in the application process 3. Don't let the delivery truck drive onto customer's driveway when it comes deliver building materials. The truck was too heavy, it cracked our driveway. Thanks to Hugo who made them pay for the damage but it cost us a lot more and add more hassles. In all, we would highly recommend HHI patio & covers to our neighbors and friends. HHI has been one of the best contractors we have ever worked with. They were true professionals from start to finish. The craftsmanship and attention to detail by their crew was excellent. We had wanted a single carport-patio cover structure with a vaulted ceiling. With the layout of our house and garage, they initially felt that what we wanted may not be possible. The day Ivan came out with their construction foreman, Angel, to measure for materials, he mentioned our desire for a single structure. That day Angel indicated he did not think it was possible. But the next morning he came back and said there was a way to do it. We ended up with the beautiful single vaulted ceiling carport-patio cover structure we had hoped for. Neighbors have come by and marveled how good the addition looks. During the construction, the crew was friendly, efficient, communicated what they were planning on doing and cleaned up every night. We asked 3 companies to provide quotes for our patio cover and outdoor kitchen. Hugo was the only one to bring a computer. He was able to show us examples of his work and provided us with solutions for some of the specific attributes we wanted in our kitchen. Hugo was very easy to work with.
