We had received quotes from many contractors but we are glad we went ahead with Greatheights outdoor living The only thing that was a slight disappointment was the spacing on the lattice. we had requested for 4" but it turned out 6". it still looks great so we are happy with it. I played hard to get as I reached out to Matt back in March for a free estimate and he was able to come out the same week and talk through my vision. During this time, we did a walk of the back yard and discussed different design options. I told Matt that I had other contractors coming out (which was true) to provide estimates and that I would get back to him. During this time, Matt would check in and let me know that he would love to do business with me, which I appreciated. As an educator, April and May were chaotic due to STAAR testing... so, called Matt back out in May to do a recap and to let him know that he was number 1 choice. I informed Matt that I would finance and he told me about a company that he worked with to offer financing. Although I went through my own bank, everything worked out. Contract was sent out by Matt, I made it happen, and we decided on a date to get the project started. Day one of the project and Matt called to let me know that the crew would be coming to drop off supplies and the foreman would show up to start the framing. The crew and foreman showed up and work began. The foreman Martin was knowledgeable and talked with me about the design. I was looking in dismay at my backyard everyday and thinking about how I needed to pull all the…read moreweeds out. My neighbor had used TJ's services at 4LeafClover a while back to pave their backyard, so I called. He came out next morning and gave me an estimate and a few options for materials he had on hand already and could provide for a discount. He happened to have availability, and he and a helper came out that afternoon and started the demo of the existing concrete slabs and weeding. The next day, they came and continued digging out and started filling and leveling the ground. The paving looks excellent, and TJ made sure the design was functional for irrigation (important especially with all the flooding). For ease of moving stuff to/from truck, they tapped out a few planks of the fence. A few pieces were slightly damaged, and they replaced it before they wrapped up on Day 3 - no questions asked. I love the little pattern he did in alternating the direction of the paving - I never even thought of all these little details. He came back day 3 and finished it off in the morning. I'm in love with my new backyard! TJ also always had the brightest smile. In 95+ weather after 6+ hours of hard labor, that positive attitude really stood out to me. 5 stars all the way!
