We were especially impressed with the fact they reengineered the system for performance and efficiency rather than simply sticking new equipment in place of the old. Their personnel were friendly, informative, and very respectful of our home and privacy. The new system has made our home far more comfortable - both temperature and humidity control has been tremendously improved. We have also seen substantial savings on utilities - both electric and gas. What had been a consistent source of trouble and expense in our home is now a source of comfort and savings. A 5-star rating would be justified If this was the end of the story. Just recently, however, the compressor failed - apparently a factory defect unrelated to any of the work by Advance Mechanical. The part is under warranty, but the manufacturer would not pay for labor to replace it because the install was just over a year ago (and the manufacturer's "labor warranty" is only 1-year even though the part warranty is 5-year). This was no surprise to us, the specifics of the warranty were explained to us when we decided on this equipment. Advance Mechanical, however, decided that this scenario was not acceptable and replaced the compressor at their own expense - we didn't even ask them for that! Clearly, we are pleased and very satisfied with our decision to engage Advanced Mechanical. Indeed, we are relieved that we found a capable and reliable company that takes pride in their work and reputation. I hope this review will help other people make a similar choice.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!…read more During heatwave our AC died. We called Two Amigos out and they sent a tech out promptly. That was the only good part of our experience. Tech wanted to replace my AC because it is, admittedly, older. I was told it would be over $6000 for the new system - money we definitely did not have. After asking for options, the tech said we could just refill the AC with new freon but that since R-22 wasn't used anymore (a lie) he would have to drain the system and refill it with a different refrigerant at a cost of $687. That was a lot of money too - but it was miserable in the house so I agreed. I had high hope that we would make it through the heatwave in comfort. I was wrong. In less than 24 hours the repair had failed completely and I was stuck calling Two Amigos back for help. I explained the situation and was told that I was out of luck because freon was not warrantied. The issue was never the freon; it was the technician. He failed to follow several industry practices such as searching for a leak and replacing the stem valve when he switched refrigerants. How do I know? After Two Amigos left me sweating and dying of heat I had someone competent come out. They checked my entire unit for a leak and there wasn't one - all of the freon had leaked from the refill valve the tech had improperly put back on. My AC was recharged and has worked great ever since. My finances... not so much. Two Amigos still demanded payment for the job they didn't do. I paid for my AC to be fixed and some semblance of comfort to be returned to me. All this company gave me was a huge bill and the middle finger! Find a quality repair company that stands behind their work and dont let Two Amigos cheat you like they did me!

He was at my home by 8:30 AM. We have a lot of dogs which he wasn't scared of. He checked the system outside and knew immediately what was wrong. Then he checked the system in the attic. He explained what was going on as well as the solution. He did not make it feel like he was rushing through anything. Their workers showed up unannounced to begin the installation of a new HVAC unit in the property next door to me a day and a half later than I was told, without notice of when they would arrive. When they did arrive at the property, they just walked in and began working without notifying anyone that they were over there. After they had finished, they up and left without saying a word. I received a phone call the next morning asking if they were finished, and after paying I was told that an inspector would come to the property to ensure everything was installed correctly. They never showed. To be fair, I called the inspection company directly and ran into the same issue and eventually gave up trying to get them to come out, so I won't put this entirely on the fault of Service Plus. Lastly, after all of the work had been completed, I had to make several phone calls to the office to correct basic information on my final invoice. This company seems to do quality work, as I haven't had any issues with my new unit. However, they need to do a better job of communicating with their customers and handling things a bit more professionally.
