3 year old approved! We spent well over an hour in the kids play area. Every aspiring firefighters dream. The rest of the museum may not appeal as much to the younger kiddos but adults will definitely enjoy. The look back at the firefighters uniforms over the decades was a personal favorite.

Ladies at the front desk weren't very excited about their jobs or maybe they were having a bad day. Idk, but it's a cool place to bring kids. Glad they had fun so I give them 4 stars but their staff get 1 star for their $#itty service

They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered). For my cocktail, I selected the a classic apple martini (I know, "who still drinks those still?" Lol...I do...nothing wrong with a classic dahling). Great times and worth the check out. Right "upstairs" from Hungry's, this place is a great spot to chill. Self parking is limited, however they do offer valet. No street parking. Enjoy!

The service stood out right away, very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out extremely fast, which was a plus. As for the food, it was decent overall. The wings had good flavor, but the ranch was a bit watery and could definitely use more seasoning. The onion rings were also good, just needed a little extra seasoning to really bring them up a notch. Overall, it's a solid spot for happy hour with good prices, generous portions, and great service.
