Thankful the city has this service for us to drop off recycling…read more They want you to wear your mask when driving through and then 1/2 the times I go they take my temperature but the other 1/2 they don't. I think it depends who is working that day. They will take everything out of my trunk and THEN take my temperature... it kind of doesn't make sense. What would they have done if after taking my recycling out, my temp is high? Would they then grab it all from the bins and put it back in my car? Why not just let me keep my window closed the whole time that way we just don't make contact at all? Minus 1 star for hours. 8-5 Monday to Saturday basically means I can only make on Saturdays if I don't have to work that Saturday. Would be nice if they'd open a bit earlier in the morning or have bins outside to drop of basic recycling items like plastic and cans.

This report is essential to show records for compliance in our upcoming audit. From start to finish, Altech made my job much easier and the peace of mind is insurmountable. But there is only one way in and one way out. That means you have to wait for the trucks at household dump to be cleared before you can move forward. Yikes. On a Saturday afternoon right after the new year, I finished my plastic and paper recycling. Then, proceeded to exit. But the one and only line has not moved for 30 minutes. Because there were only 4 stalls for household recycling. I saw another way below the ramp to household recycling. But it says do not enter. They should have another person direct traffic to ease our pain.

Even before the pandemic, it was organized and easy to navigate. One just drives up, shares zip code (while masked), and shares what you're hoping to recycle. The helpful and kind staff tells you which bin and how to place it in the container. It can seem overwhelming the first time, but once you've been there more than once, you'll get an idea of all that can be recycled i.e. trees, furniture (but call to ask what kind), oil, cardboard, glass, aluminum, etc (check their website to be sure). *Be sure to bring an gas or water bill with you to verify residence* It's usually a fast and efficient trip. I don't know about you, but once I get rid of something I have been wanting to get rid of for a while, I feel relieved. I always leave this place feeling relieved. Thank goodness this place exists.

It's conveniently located next to Southwest Freeway 59/69 feeder road. I have to drive from Bissonnet to make a turn at Honeywell near Chevron gas station. Right turn on Ronda Lane. This facility is on the left. The rule is simple. Bring the metal junk on a truck or SUV, not sedan or anything pretty. The pavement is really rough inside. Lots a puddles and dips. Your pretty cars will get muddy in no time. Drive to the check in station and get the vehicle weighed. Then, go drop off the junk at the pile as directed by the employee. Finally, drive back to weighing station to complete the transaction. Woohoo. I got paid $4.20 for bringing some junk that my contractor wanted throw out.
