If you're looking for a way to dispose of your metals in an environmentally friendly way,…read moreScorpion's is the spot! I've brought odd bits like metal table legs and old cast iron pans and they've accepted them without issues. You can also choose to sell your metal per weight, so I've seen others bring giant bags of soda cans or even a truck bed loaded with old bikes. The area is a bit rough around the edges, but the people are friendly. You can drive through their garage for them to unload, but just park on the side of the street if your car low / not a midsize or truck. The owner asked me if I was selling and I said no (just hoping they can recycle the metals I drop off!), and she said the proceeds would go to her workers-- sweet! :D If you have metals to dispose of want to sell, definitely check them out!

Thankful the city has this service for us to drop off recycling…read more They want you to wear your mask when driving through and then 1/2 the times I go they take my temperature but the other 1/2 they don't. I think it depends who is working that day. They will take everything out of my trunk and THEN take my temperature... it kind of doesn't make sense. What would they have done if after taking my recycling out, my temp is high? Would they then grab it all from the bins and put it back in my car? Why not just let me keep my window closed the whole time that way we just don't make contact at all? Minus 1 star for hours. 8-5 Monday to Saturday basically means I can only make on Saturdays if I don't have to work that Saturday. Would be nice if they'd open a bit earlier in the morning or have bins outside to drop of basic recycling items like plastic and cans.
