During my approximately 20 minute visit, two employees a white male and a Hispanic coworker engaged in a loud, heated, and public verbal argument right in front of me. She simply told the aggressive male employee to "walk it off," a directive he visibly ignored. This lack of managerial control and the obvious toxic work environment were alarming. The experience was so distressing that I briefly offered "Leo" a job on the spot as a hot shot driver, purely based on my observation of the gut-wrenching professional circumstances he was enduring. I chose this location as a temporary alternative because my preferred shop was fully booked, but the negative experience has ensured I will not be returning. Yes, you will receive some cash for your metal (don't expect the proverbial gold mine, though). And you're helping a local business - plus you're reducing the volume of waste that ends up in landfills. Always very friendly staff here. Parking is adequate, since you're really not here for very long - they're very quick to take your metal, weigh it and pay you a set price per pound. Exiting back onto Kuykendahl (especially if you're heading south) can be a challenge, though. Keep that in mind when you're ready to leave.
