This was my 1st time seen an allergist so I did not know what to expect. Doctor farhardian was the nicest doctor doctor I have ever met.. He not only has a personality but a sense of humor. He he he took his time and answered all of my questions and did not make me feel like I was wasting his time . I requested a skin allergy test and they test you with a 105 different needles which does not hurt. This was my 1st time to see an Allergist for my eye condition Blehorconguctivis and it was a terrible experience! I waited for 45 minutes in the room, and this doctor is slow and writes everything down and does not use a computer? I have a 90$ Copay but it would cost 600$ for a skin test with my insurance! Decided myself that a blood test would be less expensive. Came home and looked up my Blue Shield benefits and said the skin test would be covered ? I am a new patient of Dr Farhadian. After suffering for months with hives and incorrect diagnosis from other doctors, Dr Farhadian examined me and diagnosed my problem right away. I have waited several months to post my review because I left Dr. Farhadian's office feeling very confused and disappointed about my visit with him earlier this year. This was on top of previous allergy diagnosis by a clinic in Marina Del Rey where I was skin and blood tested for allergies and serum was made up due to positive reactions to outside allergens as well as food. Since I lived in Santa Clarita I wanted to find an allergist closer to me and so I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Farhadian since the Yelp reviews looked pretty positive. Unfortunately, I walked away feeling very confused and disappointed for the following reasons: 1. He briefly looked through the skin and blood test results from the previous doctor and explained he couldn't trust the results because he did not do the testing and therefore could not take the serum. OK, I guess I could understand that. 2. He listened to my symptoms (which were mostly light-headed related and got worse after eating certain foods) and he examined me quickly. 3. Since I was not suffering from hay-fever he dismissed the idea that I had allergies and that all of my issues were in my head and that I should go see a psychologist. What?!?!?! Luckily, I got another opinion from another allergist (Dr. Hariri in Beverly Hills - amazing!). He also ran another round of blood tests confirming the food and airborne allergies that have been plaguing me. So I do not feel crazy like Dr. Farhadian had implied. I just write this as a caution to others who might not have classic allergy symptoms like hay fever or runny nose. Dr. Farhadian probably isn't the right person for you to see. I guess I should be lucky I am not working with Dr. Farhadian. I do see another review by Rocio A. which indicates Dr. Farhadian likes to play the "it's all in your head" card with others. But in all fairness, it seems like he is an ok doc to go to if you have obvious external allergy symptoms... Good luck! Also, If other doctors dismiss you... keep looking! read more

I had seen a top allergist years ago so i knew my allergies but i knew i had developed a few more as i got older. I unfortunately do not have top quality insurance anymore and am stuck with state care. I was referred to Dr. Farhadian and was a little skeptical at first. He did an allergy skin test and came out with the same results i had previously and more. He also diagnosed me with sinusitis which i have suspected of me dealing with for many years and doctors just ignoring it. Thankful he took me seriously and agreed with me, only problem was I'm allergic to the specific antibiotic i need, which he said he needed to perform an in house test with the antibiotic in question to see if it was a true allergy which has not be done yet. He's a very sweet man and knowledgeable. You do have a hard time understanding him sometimes so i wish a nurse would come in and help decipher his instructions or at least provide a print out of instructions but other than that i feel like i lucked out with a good dr given having medi-cal. read more

Wow just wow! DO NOT go see Dr. Farhadian! He told me I "looked healthy" so he was confused why I was there. I explained to him why, he proceeded to check my ears and nose, never addressing the rash I had suspected was from a food allergy. NEVER asked to see a picture of the rash or what it looked like now. He then went on to say I read something online and I created the rash myself.... mind blowing! I should have read the reviews, my story is EXACTLY the same as Scott's... sad. I saw Dr. Farhadian for my allergies since I was getting a lot of headaches and sinus infections along with dry eyes. He was very patient with me and listened to all my symptoms. He was able to diagnose me before doing the allergy test. After we did the allergy back test everything came out correctly according to his diagnosis. He was very compassionate and personal. We have been in Palmdale visiting my mom when my allergies and asthma started to act up. I didn't know where to go until my mom's doctor referred us to Dr. Farhadian at the AV Allergy and Asthma center. I looked him up on google and saw the 5 star reviews...So we decided to give his office a try. I have to say that, first off, the ladies at the Palmdale office are wonderful...since we are from out of town, they made it so easy on us. They are friendly, always smiling and fun to talk to. They answered all my questions and made sure to explain everything to me about my coverage. Dr. Farhadian is a great doctor. He actually takes his time to examine and explain everything that is going on with my allergies. He was able to get my allergies/asthma back on track. My mom has sinus allergy like symptoms. She had had blood work done which showed 0 allergies, but we wanted to make certain if allergies were indeed not an issue, with a skin tests. We went to see Dr. Farhadian, after asking a few questions, he told my mom it was all in her head, would not give her a skin test, and was very rude to me when I asked for clarification on his diagnosis. "Didn't you hear what I just told you?!?" were his exact words. We have since gone to see an E.N.T. whom explained that sinus allergies often do not show in the blood test. He has sent us to a different allergist, who did the skin tests, was respectful, patiently explained diagnosis and treatment, as well as what medicines he recommended would do. He had much better bed side manners. I don't know if Dr. Farhadian is just old school, and behaved the way he did because I dared to ask questions or if his behavior is due to prejudices. What I do know, is the difference between being treated with respect and not being treated with respect. This Dr. is not respectful. read more

If you have to get your twice-weekly, four-shot, allergy injections, and do your best human imitation of a pin cushion, this is the place. Very friendly staff. Minimal waits. Great atmosphere! Doctor's offices often have a sterile feel to them, with cheesy music, that makes elevator DJ Music seem to jam, but Dr. F's younger staff seem to have prevailed upon him, to bump some better tunes or pop for some Satellite Quality music, and I rarely have to shift to my iPhone music, unless I am having a really anal, ADD day. Makes waiting around for the mandatory "reaction time" that more bearable. Too bad there are no professional masseuses to ease the pain of the twice weekly shots (or a free wet bar to get your martini on like they have in those Hollywood Hair Salons-What a concept . . . get your hair done, while getting your favorite mixed drink!). I was recently in the need for an allergist I came across Valencia Allergy and Asthma Center. Having driven by many times I figured it was close so I would try this doctor. I was so happy that I did. Dr. Farhadian was extremely nice and thorough. I did not feel rushed and felt like he listened to me and my many issues. I now have a clear action plan on how to address my problems and I finally feel like I might have some form of relief. To say that the rest of the staff there is nice is an understatement. They are all very knowledgeable, quick to follow up, responsive and friendly. The staff also helped me understand and explained all my costs and what my insurance covered. Dr. Farhadian has been my allergist for over ten years. He is soft spoken and so kind. I used to suffer from chronic sinus infections, but Dr. Farhadian helped me with allergy testing and a shot protocol that brought me relief from my allergies and constant sinus infections. He has earned our trust and friendship through his compassion, kindness and empathy. When our children were young, we used Dr. Farhadian in lieu of a pediatrician. He is so knowledgeable and helpful, he gave us confidence that we were ensuring our children's best health interests. Dr. Farhadian treats his medical practice as more than a business. Any one who has suffered from allergies appreciates an allergist who can identify the source or sources of her problem and treat them w the minimum number of shots and,or drugs..for me it is dr farhadian. ..i can breath better and easier than ever and he cut my meds that I was taking in half..he is actually so quick and easy going that I don't mind the shots. His office is clean and modern and parking is ok..his staff is very helpful and accommodating..the dr himself explained everything to me in detail and took my information in person and carefully..i think that was very important and helpful to me read more

My appointment was for 9:30 and I was there 15 minutes early to fill out the new patient paperwork. Dr. Farhadian didn't show up to the office until 10:45. He was very quiet and hard to understand with his thick accent, but I'm pretty sure he apologized saying he had an errand to run. The front desk personnel acted half asleep. They weren't friendly (though not rude). Just meh. Which to me isn't friendly, especially when a patient has been waiting with their child for such a long time. On the way home it sort of festered in my mind that I went out of my way to respect the doctor's time and schedule, but he didn't do the same for me. Furthermore, they didn't do the allergy testing today, so now they can get two copays out of my pocket because we have to come back for that. That totals $70. After the allergy test, I'll not be going back (unless something kindly amazing happens on my next visit.) I'll update yelp if that's the case. That appointment is on the 11th. I'm glad others have had a better experience with him. I wish I could say the same. read more
