use house match for our move to Temecula, and to say they were beyond negligent is the understatement of the century. After paying a nearly $5k security deposit, we discovered 4+ months into our tenancy that both our Smoke Detectors AND C02 detectors were all either faulty or defective. When we requested a thorough walkthrough with House Match of the property due to our fear of faulty wiring (we were warned by multiple electricians that the wiring was extremely funky - example: the faulty smoke detector in the office was wired to the office fan which never worked until we discovered the wiring. Linda, Amanda, Pearl, and most important, Andrew (Drew) Butterfield failed to handle any major issue with courtesy, respect, or knowledge. AVOID HOUSEMATCH AT ALL COST!!! I know Pure Property Mgmt. technically owns them now, but they're still operating the 'House Match' way and it's both negligent, and a massive drain on your finances and time. Note: see drew's comment underneath. Yes Drew, we stopped paying because you were negligent and you/your staff refused to even acknowledge our emails until we stopped paying. It's called withholding rent due to unlivable conditions your bastard. If you want a SLUM LORD go with this guy, he'll harass you then try to slander you on the internet not to mention if your house happens to go up in flames due to faulty wiring he'll see 'well that's why we require renter's insurance' - which doesn't replace lost lives you dimwit. Btw Drew, releasing private information on the INTERNET like that is a breach of privacy per the court order. I'll be sure to pass that along to them ;) As i said, Drew's is an absolute a$$. I am currently paying full rent in a 3 bedroom 2 bath home where a pipe broke and flooded two bedrooms in March. They did nothing to clean the flooding until a month later. The smell of mildew/mold in the home was unbearable. Then after the first month, two bedrooms and one bathroom were gutted. My adult son and I have been paying full rent for the use of less than half of the home for 2 months now. We have only one useable bedroom and one useable bathroom. Yes, I bought a house. Most people would be happy for a single mother able to buy a home for her and her daughter, not Paul. Not when it hurts his bottom line. He fails to address in his response on how they did not follow their guideline of advertising the property 30 days prior to the move-out. I worked with Christine for buying my house in San Diego county. She was very helpful and enthused about showing us houses around different neighborhoods in San Diego. Sometimes this meant spending entire day. She was very patient with us since we had to carry our little 7 months old son with us during every visit. Someone else in her position would have complained but she never once did. She educated us at various points during the home buying process. Sometimes there were unexpected delays in the process. However Christine handled this very patiently and professionally without offending either party. One thing I really like to mention is that Paul (her husband) underwent a major surgery for his leg during the time we were still looking for houses with her. Christine adhered to her schedule/appointments despite her personal commitments at family. This level of commitment and customer service, really makes her stand apart from the rest of the agents you may ever work with. She was also very punctual about showing up for her appointments, finishing her paperwork, following up with lender, listing agent etc. She normally responds to texts within one hour if she is busy otherwise her responses are immediate. She also gives a lot of heads up if she is going to be away for any reason. She took care of lot of work for us in the background (dealing with escrow, lender etc), to save us troubles. I am happy to have worked with her and would recommend her to anyone trying to buy a home in San Diego or Temecula county. We closed escrow on our home today and I am really thankful to Christine for her hard work and perseverance.
