What an amazing experience we had this weekend at this campground! We visited during Father's Day…read moreweekend, which also happens to be bear mating season, so just know, you will see bears. From what we heard, bear sightings are common throughout the season. This is an off-grid campground, although there are water pumps in some areas and plenty of pit toilets throughout the campground. Park Rangers drive through every couple of hours until around 9 PM. The location is absolutely beautiful, check-in was easy, and firewood was available for $7 per bundle. Each campsite comes with its own fire ring. We stayed at site #38 and had gorgeous views. It was shady, peaceful, and in a great location. We also noticed that sites #11 and #12 looked very nice. We didn't get a chance to explore the entire park because we mainly wanted to relax, but you can easily walk the campground roads and explore the different camping areas. Around our site there was plenty of space for kids to play, and site #42 looked like it had a whole area to itself. We will definitely be coming back! Don't forget your bear spray. At night, especially the first night, the sounds of nature made it feel like you were in the middle of a jungle! The second night was much quieter. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug, relax, and enjoy the outdoors.

This place has a lot of promise but they need to reconsider their approach. Formerly run as a…read moredenominational retreat the signs of its former life are evident throughout, from the religious accented decor to the approach of the staff. Clearly the management and personnel are more accustomed to a rules based hierarchical approach, and to deal with guests of a similar background. And the rules ... there are a lot of them. We had a rowdy bunch with us for sure and some of the kids could have been better behaved but the approach of staff left a lot to be desired. Can't recommend for folks of diverse background

The director there Ron is the worst person ever he is not a people person he lies about things. And the stuff that you see on the website is not really there they have an old truck that's a food truck that's never open the whole time that we stayed there I think it was open one time. It was not open the whole summer we were there for almost a year we signed a contract with them and he decided to break that contract he gave us less than 30 days notice to leave the premises he only gave us four days our family did nothing wrong he accused my daughter of breaking into the gym and in our contract you can use the gym because we live there and there's really nothing to do there for kids they say they have all these activities they don't. Ron comes off as a nice person but he really is not when you first meet him you'll see his true colors if you want to have a great summer of camping mirror lake is not the place for you to go. They have a gaming room there which is for campers but the only time that the gaming room is open is when there is a large group of out of town people not there for the kids that actually stay there for long term. Worst experience in my life if you want to have fun go somewhere else. Bathrooms need to be updated they have a main dining hall that they say is for campers but again not used until big groups come in.
