I don't normally post on social media anymore but I had to give a shout out and review for Emerald City Dog Spa INC. In Rocky Point!! We recently left Daisy (77 lb sheepadoodle) and Duffy (42 lb Wheaton terrier) with Michelle at Emetald Emerald City Dog Spa INC. For 8 days while we went on a vacation. We will never go anywhere else again!! So many wonderful things to say it's actually easier if I list them lol - They had a lovely large room (12' x 10'?) all their own, with their own window looking outside to boot! They had so much room!! - they got to play outside in a fenced in safe play area under her supervision - she played with them and fussed with their food the whole 8 days finding ways to have our very picky eaters eat! - they were under camera supervision as well as her supervision and kept safe at all times - Michelle texted us and sent photos throughout each day making us feel relaxed and at ease knowing they were in great hands - Michelle takes only one family at a time so we knew there were no other dogs to worry about - Before coming home they each got a bath and blowout and were so soft and smelled so lovely - and best of all - Michelle was just lovely to work with. She was so friendly, helpful, and caring we feel like we've met a new friend. So there it is! For everyone else like us that worries about our babies I had to post this, and as a big thank you to Michelle too- Oh- and she is fantastic at making them look beautiful. Duffy is a hot mess when it comes to grooming and she is patiently getting him to relax and go with the flow. They always come out fantastic But now that I wrote this- you guys better not hog her so much we can't get in!!

Today was the second time that we used Michele at Emerald city for our grooming needs. We picked up…read moreour dogs and they looked like they just walked out of a street dumpster. They were shaved and full of bloody scrapes and cuts and their haircut is just awful. My little guy's nails look like they were cut on a cheese grater. When we discussed our disappointment with her via text, she responded with no dignity and no class. She defended herself and spoke rudely to us and had every excuse in the book as to why they were cut that way. I have never seen my beautiful dogs look so terrible. Also, as a groomer, you are to notify the owners if you think the dog needs to be shaved that low due to mats. My dogs do not have mats and if any of them did by any chance, we should've been notified of this prior to her taking it upon herself to do such a drastic, uneven job. Any reputable business owner would not justify their mistakes via a text war, they would acknowledge and sympathize with the angry customer who just paid a ton of money and did anything to make it right. She was texting so many times that I had to block her from my mother's phone. The way she displays her social media and her love for animals is not what you get in person. Save your money. I always asked how he did and was told fine…read more Then I'm suddenly told that unless my dog gets groomed every 4 weeks, she can't fit him in her schedule because she's not bonding with him. My dog doesn't need to be groomed every 4 weeks. Then I'm told he doesn't like his feet touched or the hairdryer. Then why was I told he did fine all that time? I noticed that they started getting more dogs being shoved into the schedule. That last appointment when I picked up my little guy she was gruff with him in how she was speaking to him. My dog came home traumatized, stressed out and depressed. Needless to say we found a new groomer that my dog loves. I've never seen my dog leave a groomer so happy and calm. Four months after we left the old groomer I decided to leave a bad but honest review about what happened because we were heartbroken that he was traumatized. I suddenly get a call on my home and cell phone leaving a message that she cares about animals and takes her job seriously and that I was unfair and mean in my review. Not an apology that my dog was traumatized or I was treated rudely, but demanding that I remove my review. Then tell me to call her or come to the store and get a refund. I've never seen a groomer who cares so much that they only reach out after an honest but less than stellar review and demand it be removed . I was even blamed for her actions. PS the new groomer said she didn't have any problems grooming him at all. Wow

He came in matted and needed the full treatment. She took notes on exactly what we asked for and did exactly that, while also doing what she knew was best for the baby. Amazing!
