Blue Compass RV-Orlando - So exciting

Blue Compass RV-Orlando

(146 reviews)

Well, I reported this business to the Better Business Bureau to hopefully get a solution, but…read morefigured I would write a review here as well. I am writing this review regarding Blue Compass RV in ORLANDO's excessive and unjustified retention of our RV, which resulted in substantial and unnecessary out-of-pocket lodging expenses. Blue Compass RV retained possession of our RV for a total of 105 days, during which they repeatedly failed to provide accurate timelines or meaningful progress updates. Communication throughout this period was inconsistent and inadequate. I received written communication from the service manager, Ashlyn, explicitly acknowledging that the prolonged delay was due to staffing shortages and that ongoing communication failures regarding timelines and expectations were the dealership's responsibility, not ours. According to the dealership's own service records, the total documented labor time across all jobs was approximately 6 hours and 35 minutes, and even the documented work was incomplete. Given the minimal and unresolved nature of the work performed, retaining our RV for 105 days is completely unjustified. Because our RV is our current residence, we were forced to secure alternative lodging for ourselves and our dog during the time the dealership retained the unit, which they were aware and completely inconsiderate of. We chose inexpensive, conservative lodging locations to keep cost low. These lodging expenses totaled $9,049.84, which I shared with them as proof. Additionally, we were informed that Blue Compass RV would cover approximately $8,000 in lodging expenses due to the prolonged delay. However, when we were later sent an agreement to sign, it reflected only $5,500 and included overbroad release language extending beyond lodging reimbursement and requiring waiver of unrelated rights. This was inconsistent with what had been represented to us and was not acceptable. I'm asking for a full reimbursement of our lodging expenses with either no agreement signed or an agreement that reflects only what the reimbursement is for: lodging expenses only. I want to add that not only did it take 105 days for us to get our RV back, when they only worked on the RV for 6 1/2 hours according to their own paperwork, but when we received our RV back, not only was hardly anything fixed, but there was more damage and extremely horrible workmanship. I recommend finding an independent RV tech with good ratings and I would never go to blue compass to purchase an RV or for any repair work. The entire experience was absolutely horrible.

While it was there they serviced the axels and fixed a warranty issue. I really like their weekly updates when awaiting parts. The service manager, parts manager and shop staff are just simply good people. I highly recommend buying a trailer from them. It's the service after the sale. Not something you'll find at those big money machine dealers. Thank you Travel Camp of Melborne. You Rock! We're off to Maine for the summer.

As I was casually walking around a Travelcamp employee (April O'Leary) walk by and asked if I needed any help and explained why the sales reps were tied up at the moment, so she put off what had brought her outside and kindly gave me a tour of what they had that might fit what I wanted. The last unit she pointed out was the 320, the design of the 320 doesn't leave much to preview wiyh the slides but I could tell it had the potential of what I wanted. We discussed getting the 3 slides out while I went to eat lunch, when I came back April met me at the front door and we went and toured the 320; it was everything I was looking for. After that I made several follow on visits to the dealership to walk through the unit again and be sure. On the last day someone had decided to buy that unit which worked out well because I mentioned the 320 the Ocala dealership had which had a couple of features the one I had been looking at didn't and April assured me that she could get that one from Ocala to Melbourne for me; win win for me. After giving Travelcamp a deposit they facilitated the transfer of the 320 to Melbourne at which April and I did a walk-through of the unit, she took notes of the very short list of things that needed to be resolved before I would close on the unit. The closing day, I met April & Jerry at the dealership to do the final walk-through and close on the unit. I could've save a small chunk of money by traveling a short distance and picked the 320 from another dealership, but the interactions with April throughout the entire process from walking onto the lot through the sale, April's punctuality and wiliness to listen instead of just selling made me a just want to buy the 320 from her at that dealership. If you're ever in the market and near Melbourne, stop in and see April, she is as genuine as they come, listens to what you have to say and doesn't know how to put pressure on you. I hope that I will need to buy another camper soon and she will still be!

We live in California and recently had to sell an RV owned by a deceased relative in Largo,…read moreFlorida. We had the good fortune to connect with Mr. Jay Louis of RV Direct America in Titusville. We were offered a fair price for the RV. Since it was an estate asset, there were delays in the selling process while creditors were notified and court permission to sell was obtained. Mr. Louis is a professional, experienced, and knowledgeable sales manager. He arranged for his company to take possession of the RV and move it to Titusville, and thereafter gave us guidance with respect to the transfer of title. We are very grateful to Jay for his kind patience with the estate process and for otherwise helping us through this worrisome long-distance situation. We highly recommend RV Direct America in Titusville to anyone buying or selling an RV. Ellen and Doug G September 2023

Hey guys, real swell people over at Infinity Motors. I was browsing the Facebook marketplace for an…read moreRV and came across a few good looking well priced RVs Infinity had listed. I had all kinds of questions, probably sent the poor guy about 100 messages. But hey.. they're some patient people over there at Infinity Motors and all my questions were answered, real professional like. Let me say I sent some other RV folks messages, and I'd be lucky to get a response before I reach my 100th birthday, forget about it. But not Infinity, they're on their A game buddy. Now that I knew.. what was what.. I was asked if I'd like to make an appointment. I said "absolutely bud" and the next day I met Jason to check out a few monster RVs. Jason was a real patient guy, he didn't press my buttons. I had my eyes set on a big boy 2015 Olympia Coach. I told Jason I had to look at a few Coaches over at Camping World. Long story short, it's just a bunch of wise guys over at Camping World, real pushy fellas. Anyways I gave Jason a call right after leaving Camping World. I met back with him at Infinity, put a deposit down, and went for a ride. Everything seemed to look good and the price was right so I bought the bad boy! I can fit everybody in this RV, it's a real beast! I've taken it all over. A side note to Jason, sorry it took me so long to leave this review.. I've been traveling around.. I'm sure you understand bud. Hey all and all I'd recommend Infinity to my pals and my family. No complaints (not yet at least) hahaha just kidding Jason, dont get any wise ideas. Well, we have a very long story regarding a RV journey, but I will cut it short to give this…read moreamazing business their much deserved 5 star review. So, after a transmission problem in KY, we got on our way to FL. We arrived and things were going fine until our RV caught on fire. Yep, actual flames. Fortunately, we caught very quickly and put it out without damage to us or the RV. Note to newbie RV-ers: Get a fire extinguisher, even if you think you will never need it. We had to be towed from Viera to Cocoa and found Infinity Motors through a simple google search. We called another place first and they didn't answer the phone, so Infinity got our business. We are so glad they did! The other place should be kicking themselves now! We got towed in and were greeted by Larry, the mechanic and he was friendly, down to earth and really helpful. He consoled me a bit as I was a bit scared from the whole process. He explained what he thought it might be and told us he would take care of us and even stay late if he had to in order to get us going again. It ended up being a oil leak and the oil caught on fire on the exhaust. (my husband really should write this review because I don't know car terms so bear with me) When the owner arrived, he (Jason) and Larry spoked to us and told us it would be a bit more involved, but immediately left to get the necessary parts and returned to start working. We found out it would be more than that afternoon to get it fixed so we went to stay with family that evening. They were so friendly. Jason, the owner, really knows his stuff, as does Larry, and they were both knowledgeable and easy to understand in explanation of the mechanics of the problem. I'll be honest, being a woman, I don't always get treated like I know anything at car shops so I was impressed that they treated me like a part of the decision making process with my husband, answered my questions and explained things to BOTH of us. I don't know much about RV's, but I want to learn and appreciate how they spoke to me and my husband about the same RV issues equally. We came back the next day and our RV was ready to go. Our invoice was itemized, easy to understand and fully explained. They kept the old parts to show us what was done and didn't do anything we didn't ask for, but went above and beyond to make sure were on the road again. They didn't try to sell us extras either, but suggested things to be aware of in the future. They were honest, straight forward and told us what was necessary now for safety or what could wait, because we are on a strict budget, but want to make sure we get to our next destination. We got on the road and had no trouble until today when the RV started misfiring. Now our RV is 30 years old, so we don't expect it to run perfectly all the time, but when Jason and Larry looked at it before, they mentioned fixing the exhaust and we decided against that because it wasn't imperative at the time. Now it probably will be and we are okay with that. We contacted them this morning, Sunday when they are closed, and they told us to bring it over in the morning and they will take a look asap. Wow! What other shops do this? None. I haven't been to many who even answer the phone on a day off or won't try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need or take weeks on your car. We were in and out in a day, treated respectfully and nothing came up as a surprise financially. Pretty great! I'lll update tomorrow after our RV is fixed again, but I have no doubts it will be fixed perfectly and we will back on our journey! Thanks to Jason, Larry and Phil!
