First off I have to say, this was the best experience I have ever had with finding an apartment! I came to Chicago with no plan other than to apply on Zillow and apartment websites to find viewings for places I was interested in. That is when I received a call from Molly, a broker who helped both myself and my family throughout the entire process. Molly is a true gem, and took the time to take detailed notes/pictures, as well as actively listen to my wants as to what I was looking for in an apartment. Molly ended up taking me to a final unit which was absolutely perfect for me, as it is next to a 24-hour gym, grocery store, and numerous restaurants and shops. Molly even was kind enough to provide me reassurance and ease my nerves during the application process for the apartment. Fast forward to today, and I am settled and extremely happy in my unit, and am excited to continue decorating and make this place feel like home. Molly is a fantastic person, kind, attentive, professional, and make the entire stressful process for apartment hunting seamless for both myself and my parents. Thank you Molly for helping me find my dream apartment, you are the best broker in Chicago! read more

Everyone was so helpful and my tour agent Brianna was amazing she always showed up on time and was super nice!

I never write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience working with Cassandra Kleinshmidt that I had to share. I was looking for an apartment for my 20 year old son in downtown Chicago, near his college. We live in Southern California which made researching neighborhoods and finding available units close to school, in our price range even more challenging. I literally spent weeks going thru Apartments.com, Zillow, Craigslist, Domu, all of them! Only to be frustrated by unreturned calls or missing out on prospective apartments as they went so fast and we were not physically present in Chicago. I inquired about an apartment on HotSpot Apartment Rentals, and Cassandra got back to me immediately. She suggested a phone call to find out more about we were looking for and spent at least a half an hour chatting with me about my son, his school, our budget and what we were looking for. She sent me a video of a fantastic apartment that was not on any of the lists I had seen and was only a 3 minute walk from my son's school. A huge plus during a Chicago winter! She advised me on many other great units to look at as well, but we ultimately went with the first place she showed us which was perfect. Cassandra has such an understanding of each Chicago area and wonderful relationships with so many of the great buildings, she even helped us thru the leasing process with our new landlords. I could not recommend her more and only wish I would have found her sooner, would have saved me so much time! And we could not have found a better home for our son. So grateful to Cassandra, call her! read more

I was in a panic to find an apartment, and I just so happened to stumble upon Jennifer Day, who is part of the HotSpot Apartment team! Out of all brokers I've spoken to before, Jennifer was one of the most helpful and nicest that I've met. She sent me a list of apartments that fit my criteria and even found me a deal that is unheard of in downtown Chicago. I was able to tour immediately the next day, and she was accommodating of my changing schedule. Highly recommend working with her/ and her team if you're trying to find an apartment to rent in Chicago! read more

She was super patient with all my (many) requests and quirks, and always quick to respond. I'll definitely be recommending her to anyone apartment hunting in Chicago. She made the whole process wayyyy less stressful than it usually is. Thank you Nada!!! read more

I was overwhelmed searching for apartments in a city I knew nothing about. I stumbled onto Dwight from Hotspot Rentals and it was the best thing that could've happened to me. After one quick phone call about what I was looking for, he made my experience so smooth and easy. He handled everything for me from setting up tours to asking all of the questions I would've forgotten to ask myself. He was very organized and extremely thorough with taking notes and shooting videos for me of all of my options and at the end, he even sat down with me and reviewed my likes and dislikes of each place to help me narrow down my choices and make the best decision for me. I couldn't imagine my search going any smoother and I highly recommend Dwight to anyone looking for some help with finding a new home! read more

Brendan Ryan with hotspot rentals truly stood out from the rest. He was mindful of my preferences, and waited for the right moment to get the best deal in the location I've been desiring to live. Instead of being an overly aggressive agent like ones I've dealt with in the past, he was patient and confident in the process. The places he suggested fit my requirements so well, I ended up applying to the first building we toured. I was approved for the apartment on my birthday, which was the cherry on top! Brendan, you made finding the perfect place simple and painless! Thank you. read more

I was in a tough situation and never worked with a broker before Gil. I just ended the lease on my apartment (which I hated) in Palmer Square and wanted to move before the end of the month. I'd never rented in the Loop before and wanted a broker to find me a good deal. Gil quickly found me a great place with a great price that was available immediately. I am pretty picky about apartments but I couldn't be happier. If you have any qualms about working with brokers I recommend you check this person out. He is attentive to detail and will fight to get you the price you want. read more

Apparently they only do "luxury" rentals. They should've told me before making me feel like an idiot. And they sent me to 2 different people before someone called me back. They told me it was impossible to find a 1 bedroom in Lakeview for under $1500. Not true!!! read more

Absolutely amazing! I found the apt of my dreams. Ryan is so kind and has a great presence. I would recommend to all.

This service was so helpful. I enjoyed working with Apollo. We worked together for about 2 weeks. He was very attentive to my requirements and showed me different options. He helped me find the perfect place and it was under my budget. He even pushed for the apartment to offer me $400 off for being a healthcare worker. HotSpot Rentals has a diverse listing of properties at several different price points and regions in the Chicago area. They are very knowledgeable about the market and options available. I don't have the best credit but Eric @ HotSpot was able to find my wife and I a fabulous apartment with everything we were looking for. Also if you don't immediately see something on their site that you like, call them or shoot them an email because they may have a fresh listing that hasn't made it to the site yet. read more

This is my second time working with Shannon Grzywacz. The first time, I got a new job and needed to find a place quick. Hart Turner was such a helpful person in my apartment hunt process! I am quite a picky person and toured many places in downtown Chicago so I met various different people who got me in contact with buildings to be able to tour them. Hart was kind, super responsive, and very helpful with finding a place that fit for me and my partner and not wasting time showing us places that didn't fit our specific preferences. Highly recommend working with him because he makes the process feel easy breezy! read more

Incredible service for FREE. I worked with Luke twice to find apartments and each time he listened to my specific needs at the time. First, I was moving to Chicago for the first time and he gave me all the insider information and tips on how to commute around the city and how to choose a downtown apartment. After being here for a year, i wanted to upgrade without breaking the bank. Luke (as Im sure the other agents do too) had all of the inside information on specific units that were available and the concessions and look/lease specials. He worked with my schedule to schedule showings and find buildings that perfectly fit what I was looking for. SERIOUSLY, these guys are great! HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for a new apartment! read more

After looking around for apartments around Chicago, I decided to send an inquiry about one and Stephanie replied within a couple of hours. She was able to tell me a lot of about the first property and even suggested a second property which she toured with me. She met me last minute to take the tour and was over the top helpful with the entire experience. It was nice to have someone check in with me every once in a while just to see how my search was going, and Stephanie seems like she really cares about the clients. Overall good experience! read more

With so many options in the city, apartment hunting and managing correspondence can be overwhelming, even without a pandemic going on (the good thing is many buildings are taking pandemic safety precautions like offering virtual meetings and adjusted building practices). This time especially, I wanted to be as efficient as possible with my search. Shannon from Hotspot Rentals made the whole process a lot less painful-- I'd highly recommend trying this service. As an FYI: I don't know the details of its business model, but there's no fee for the renter to use Hotspot Rentals. Here's what happened: I replied to a listing on DOMU that Shannon was handling, and she ended up helping me with my entire search. She was responsive, patient, direct, and attentive to the list of "wants" and "likes" that I shared and sent along multiple great options beyond the original listing I saw, providing information like photos or videos of the units, breakout of rental costs and promotions, amenities, etc. We prioritized a couple listings to tour together and were ready to keep searching if those didn't worked out. Because Shannon works with so many rental properties in Chicago, she already had contacts and information about the buildings I was considering. This facilitated booking viewings as well as learning details about the application process and even living experiences from others she knew. Shannon was also helpful with following up on my application status, which calmed my nerves. The process from initial contact to signing a lease took about a week and a half- pretty good, if you ask me! read more
