Alex is phenomenal! I'm so glad we found her. She showed us two apartments, and although I loved the first one, it wasn't the right fit for our family. After I shared what we were looking for, she recommended Cascade--and it was exactly what we needed. It's so family-friendly and has lots of activities for kids. Alex really listened and helped us find a place that works for our family, including my son, who has autism. She made the whole process feel smooth and was there for us every step of the way, right through signing the lease. She's incredibly friendly, and we're so happy with her service. I would absolutely recommend Alex! read more

Downtown Apartment Collective - Apartment Agents Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Had the opportunity to work with Asiye to look for an apartment in Chicago. She was very patient in understanding what our needs were and was very honest about our requirements from the start. Every listing she sent us, she made sure all our requirements were satisfied. She accompanied us to showings and was very honest about the apartments - we didn't realise that we could get honest opinions about listings, until we worked with Asiye. The entire lease signing process was effortless with her and she is still helping us even after the lease has been finalised. Truly a wonderful experience read more

I was referred to Alexandra Vanella from a person that worked with her in the past, I truly wish I met her a month ago before my deadline out of my hotel. After our introductions Alexandra provided efficient and fast service that I did not get from the other 4 agents I was working with trying to move here to Chicago. I did tell her i was running out of time and needed to move within the next week, the quality of options and the variety if options was exactly what I needed to see as I was getting stressed with the whole "moving in the summer to Chicago". She was very transparent and when we were dealing with difficult realtors she was not hesitant on reaching out for me to find out what the hold up was on their end to really get me in a place that I was interested in. Alexandra would send me morning texts to check on statuses if I was getting emails replied and getting in touch with the home owners. She did a really amazing job delegating my stress and communication with everyone I needed to all the way until i was officially moved in. At times I felt i was probably annoying her and I apologized for being antsy and she told me that everything was ok and that there was no need for me to apologize. Her goal was set to get me through this process as smooth as she can make it for me.. I will be sending all my friends her way and i will not use another agent as long as I live here in chicago! read more

If you're navigating the Chicago rental market, especially from out of town, work with Asiye, I can't recommend her enough! From our very first conversation, she took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for never lost sight of it. She understood what I wanted from the start, never pushed anything that didn't fit, and kept sending me options that were actually relevant. When it came down to it, she advocated on our behalf directly with the leasing teams and helped us land exactly what we were after. Every question, every concern, Asiye is always on it! My husband and I are moving to Chicago in a few months and Aysha at took time to answer our requests super early. She even did a zoom call late after work (we are in Seoul and totally opposite time zones). We visited in October 2025 and she treated us professionally and warmly as if we were moving tomorrow. She took time to meet us in person as well, explain the market, and help us prepare for the move. I can't wait to work with Aysha and her team in February 2026 when it's actually apartment hunting time for April 2026! read more

I had an amazing experience working with Asiye to find my first sola dola apartment! This was the smoothest apartment search I've ever experienced. I told Asiye what I wanted and my budget and she stuck to it and found a bunch of proprieties for me to see that I wouldn't have found on my own. She was able to schedule a bunch of tours for me on one day within a three hour window so I was able to walk from spot to spot with her in the Gold Coast. Asiye was also super quick to answer any questions via text and email. I'm so excited to move into my new place, and I will always think about the support I received to find it. I was able to find my new place within 4 days of working with this company. Highly recommend! read more

Chelsea Paspalas made the process of finding an awesome building super easy and so much less daunting... in fact, it was fun!! Chelsea texted me the same evening I called DAC to understand my needs, which is the method I preferred given my busy schedule. She was personable and got right on sending me buildings in my price range that met all of my needs. Once I told her my tops, she had a whole schedule worked out with to see 5 places in one afternoon. She had a working relationship with each of the buildings sales staff, arranged thorough tours of multiple units and amenities at each one, navigated me through parking for each of the appointments, and really made the most of the time I had available. She gave me her honest opinions throughout the process and helped me through communications, negotiations and next steps. At the end, I found a place I loved for a solid price (thanks to her connections, they were able to squeeze me in at the end of the day despite the short notice). I had fun spending an afternoon with Chelsea, who has an awesome personality and a ton of knowledge, and learned so much about the luxury apartment landscape. Do not hesitate to work with her if you're looking to find your perfect Chicago apartment! So thankful. Adding pictures from our fun afternoon of tours :) read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for an apartment in Chicago from across the country. Neither of us are from Chicago, we know very few people, and don't have a great idea or firsthand experience with the different neighborhoods. Given the current pandemic, we were aware that physically being in Chicago and seeing different apartments in person was not an option. After a few good days spent looking at apartment buildings in the River North area online, we came across Downtown Apartment Company. I think both of us were a tad skeptical as to what the "catch" would be when working with a real estate company and the agents, but we figured it was worth a shot. We were immediately contacted by Alexa Morgan who has truly been our hero during this whole process. From the first intro phone call to the latest of our many email threads securing our new home, she was such a rockstar. She knew exactly what questions to ask us, took down all of our feedback - she got an incredible lock down on our personalities and what places would like best. We quickly were given multiple options of apartments in different buildings to look at, she took the time to hear our feedback, and then she acted as the perfect liaison to set up virtual tours of every unit we had good feedback for. We were able to ask her questions not just about the square footage or the building amenities, but she really talked to us at a personal level and gave us such honest feedback that we felt comfortable signing a lease on an apartment that we are in LOVE with. Alexa really made us feel like we were client #1 and was really the support we needed to make such a big decision from so far away. We can't wait for this next step and have Alexa to thank for welcoming us to Chicago. Would recommend submitting that questionnaire on their website 15 times out of ten. read more

There are a ton of good reviews about this company and the people who work there but I'll keep this review simple so you read through it completely. Isabella Pascente is one of the best professionals I have ever worked with - truly outstanding at her job. My wife and I relocated due to work from suburban CT to downtown Chicago during the pandemic. Isabella responds to emails and texts quickly (I don't think she sleeps), has fantastic insight into the city and its neighborhoods and located the perfect apartment for us. We thought we knew what we wanted when we reached out to DAC but after listening to Isabella and touring around the City for 3 days - we ended up in something completely different than what we liked on the internet. (P.S. Don't try and find your own apartment via the internet - you really need to work with a professional.) The pictures are so deceptive when you see them on the web and what you would actually get! When deciding who to call - call and ask for Isabella - really - you won't regret it. She's a true professional. 5 star service, wonderfully warm personality and knowledgeable about Chicago neighborhoods!!! read more

I just leased an apartment that I am truly in love with and I could not be happier with my experience! After years of compromising (something I have come to expect living in the city) Shawneice was able to find me an apartment that takes my breath away AND she got me an incredible deal for the area. I have worked with other brokers before and I could tell they were trying to "steer" me in the direction that was going to make them the most money. I never once got that vibe. I really appreciated that she let me make my own decision but still offered guidance when I needed help making the final choice. I had a million and one questions throughout the process but she never made me feel like I was bothering her or she was "too busy". I couldn't help but shed a few happy tears just to have the weight lifted off my shoulders. Genuine friendly customer service goes a long way with me and I could not recommend this service enough. read more

I worked with Asiye throughout the whole process and glad she was able to assist me in finding a new apartment in a week. Everything was handled through emails and text messages but there was no delay in response. I told her what I was looking for, neighborhoods, amenities, price range, convenience, public transportation etc. and she gave me a great list of apartments to select from. I was able to narrow down to a few listings for tours, which she also accompanied me in-person. Overall, I appreciate the honest and sincere opinions from Asiye. As the rental process is overwhelming, I definitely would not be able to navigate it without her help! read more

I highly recommend Shawneice. She is amazing! She was very responsive and kept our requirements in mind while giving us options. Ours was a complicated situation and she was very patient throughout the process and constantly kept checking with the leasing agent. It was a pleasure working with her. Let me start by sayin go with the locals. I called some of he other companies and ended up in a call center that was clearly just farming out work to people. I dropped them almost immediately. Then I tried the Downtown Apartment Company, it was like night and day.. in a good way of course. Let me not bury the headline: Call them and let them help you. It will be the best decision you'll make during your apartment hunting. My agent was Jessica Odehnal and she took care of everything. I sent her a couple links to places I liked and she did the rest. She sent me an itinerary with specific apartments about a week in advance. That gave me time to look at them and ask more questions. She was extremely responsive and usually got back within an hour, surprisingly, no matter what time of day. THAT is a go getter and the level of support I wasn't expecting. I met her at the first apartment (which eventually I decided on later that day) and it was a great experience. They knew her which immediately gave me confidence that she was well liked and professional. She drove us around to other places, but in the end we returned to our starting point. s we went along she helped me eliminate ones that were probably not a good fit, by the end of our journey, she definitely had a good read on what I was looking for.I spent at least 30 minutes going into two different apartments and just agonizing over the decision and she gutted it out with me. She knows the right questions even if you don't (hey, she is a pro after all though). I went back today to take measurements, etc. I'm even more confident that Jessica helped me make the right decision. Kudos and thank you for providing a top notch service. read more

We found out about 4 weeks ago that we had about 6 weeks to move to Chicago and panic set in. We have to sell our house! We have to find a new apartment! My husband had literally NEVER even been to the city! What to do?!! So I went out on a limb and reached out to the best Yelp reviewed apartment locator I could find. I was worried about this for a few reasons. 1. They do it for free (or at least, you don't see any direct charge) 2. I don't know these people 3. I am a control freak. How could they POSSIBLY do this better than me? But I had just started a new job and now had a house to sell, so I had no time for a cross country apartment hunt and had to have faith. I called the Downtown Apartment Company and the phone rang twice before Aysha picked up. No secretary, no preliminary questions, just bam! Someone friendly and knowledgeable immediately helping. Now, the nature of the beast is you can't really look too far in advance for apartments because, y'know, people who own them want to rent them ASAP. So as the days counted down, I STRESSED. Would Aysha come through? Silly me. Aysha put together an amazing itinerary for us. She listened carefully to all of our needs, pulled everything that worked, helped us find new areas we couldn't have known about from halfway across the country, and then made appointments for us to see our top seven picks all in one afternoon. She was SUCH a joy to work with! Thoughtful, energetic, polite, engaged, and genuinely invested in protecting our best interest, it is like my anxiety left my body and manifest itself into the perfect apartment hunter. It is SO scary to put your future in someone else's hands, but you can completely rest easy if Aysha is the person representing you. We found our perfect apartment on the first day of our frantic three day apartment hunt weekend, and now we get to enjoy the city and exploring our new neighborhood. Side note for fellow control freaks: the beautiful apartments Aysha found for us were NOT on Trulia, Zillow, etc. We would never have found our new space, or any of the other gorgeous options, without her help. Let go and let Aysha work, for real. read more

This past weekend I worked with Alexa, who recommended to me by a friend. She is absolutely phenomenal. I am from out of town and had only visited Chicago once or twice a few years ago. Alexa was very prompt to respond to my email and we were able to set up a phone conversation within a few hours. She listened closely to all of my preferences and ask about even more little details I never thought about. We kept in touch for a few weeks and she sent me a couple listings for consideration. When I finally met with Alexa this weekend I felt immediately comfortable, as if I was meeting an old friend. It was apparent from the start that she was passionate about her work and genuinely wanted to find me the best fit . She was also so kind as to drive me and my friend to all of the locations and play tour guide for all of the amazing neighborhoods in Chicago. During tours, you can tell that she has a wonderful relationship with all the building representatives. We ultimately viewed 6 apartments that day and I had so much fun. I also found the perfect place for me that suited my preferences in price point, location, amenities, and appliances. I ended up applying that night, and Alexa even made herself available to me over the phone fairly late in the evening to talk over additional questions and guide me through the application process! Both myself and my friend were so impressed with her work that we ended up recommending her to others we knew that were looking for a place in Chicago. I cannot stress how grateful I am to have found Alexa. She went above and beyond, surpassing all of my expectations of what working with a realtor would be like. Please reach out to her, you won't regret it! read more

I am so lucky to have found Bruno! I was searching for apartments from out-of-state and was so worried about finding the right place in the midst of my crazy schedule. Bruno was able to take a lot of the weight off of my shoulders by closely communicating with me and helping to secure so many tours during the few days that I could come into town, even with short notice. He went above and beyond even rearranging his schedule in order to fit mine. From just our first tour together, he was able to clearly understand what I was looking for in a home and tailored the rest of the suggested tours based on that interaction. And he was spot on! Additionally, he provided incredibly valuable insight throughout the process and made it fun! I highly recommend Bruno! read more

I am so grateful for Leslie Tapia! I recently got a new job in Chicago and the day I went apartment hunting was my first day in the city. It is pretty hard to start apartment hunting from online but Leslie was amazing to work with starting from our first phone call. I only had one day to look at apartments and we found the perfect place after only a couple tours. Leslie asked all of the right questions about what I was looking for, my budget, and important things to be close to. She did an amazing job balancing the must-haves between my roommate and I while respecting our budget. I would have never found our amazing apartment without her. Leslie shared her amazing research on apartments while I was still in California so I could get a better idea of what was available. I never want to move again because my apartment is perfect but if I have to, I am calling Leslie. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a little (ok, maybe a lot) crazy when it comes to apt. hunting. So when I found out I was potentially moving from Los Angeles to Chicago and had less than a month to find an apt., I did what any crazy apt. hunter does; I created an excel spread sheet with multiple categories and hired 4 different brokers while searching on my own on Craigslist. In the end, I probably saw about 18 places in 2.5 days or so. The first broker I met was nice, but I had found it on my own and nothing else she found fit my criteria, so she was cut from the team. The next day I met with another broker who seemed pretty egotistical, bragging about her busy schedule and trying to get me into places that were pretty outside my budget range. Oh and even though she had a car, there was never an offer to drop me off after a day of apt. hunting or anything. Pass. Then I met with a guy who seemed completely disorganized and couldn't care less. He had shown me some nice places so I'll give him that, but he also decided to tell me he got car jacked right near my new job. WHO DOES THAT?! Pass. And then I met Aysha. From her genuine friendliness to her relationships she had forged with all of the leasing agents at the apartments we visited, I had a pretty good feeling about her. We grabbed lunch together, she covered Lyfts as needed and we had a ton in common. It was like hanging out with one of my friends back home, which immediately put me at ease. She knew exactly what I was looking for and as soon as leasing agents would try to push layouts on me outside my price range or that I probably wouldn't be interested in, Aysha was able to speak up before I even had to. She had recommendations for me in the city for food, drinks and just about anything I could ask for. She even offered to talk to my girlfriend to help put her mind at ease about moving to a new city. Suffice to say, Aysha found my girlfriend and I an awesome place to start our new adventure in Chicago at a moment's notice and I even made a new friend in the process. I'd def. recommend her to any friends, fam or co-workers moving to Chicago. She knows this place cold (GET IT? Ok, bad pun. I'll see myself out.) Thanks, Aysha! You rock! read more

This review is for Alexa Morgan, the best and brightest broker that Downtown Apartment Company has to offer!! I have been working with her for the past few months, hoping to find the perfect apartment during my move from Lincoln Park, to downtown. I will be honest, I was nervous to trust someone else with such an important task, but she has exceeded all expectations! From the very beginning, asking every possible question to learn my needs for a new apartment, to every single tour we went on (and trust me there were many), she went above and beyond to ensure I will love my new apartment. Tackling each task like a pro, and fighting for me to ensure I was getting the very best price and unit. I absolutely ADORE Alexa Morgan, and can assure anyone working with her will get the same treatment. I can happily recommend Alexa Morgan to any man or woman, couples or singles, searching for a new home, as she helped me find the perfect fit. Thank you so much!! read more

I got a job in Chicago and suddenly had to relocate from the East coast. Was referred to DAC by a friend and am so happy I did. I emailed them on their site and within 10 min, Aysha Hackert contacted me and was a joy to work with. I flew to Chicago and Aysha lined up listings/viewings for two days and came to the viewings with me.
