Hotel Verdant was the perfect place for my family and I to stay during our visit to Milwaukee! We picked a standard room with 2 queen beds, but it was much nicer than I expected! The room was spacious with plenty of counter space and charging ports, and the restroom was restocked daily with complimentary toiletries. I feel like I can never get a good night's sleep when I'm say sleeping on a hotel bed, but I slept like a baby in my bed at Hotel Verdant! The sheets felt so luxurious and comfortable, and while I usually need to stack the pillows in hotel beds, one pillow was plenty of support for me here. I also appreciated that the housekeeping service actually did come freshen up our room (make the beds, replace the towels, etc) every day during our stay, which doesn't usually happen at the other hotels I've stayed at recently. I didn't love that there is no attached parking garage/lot for the hotel, and instead you have to lug all your luggage across the street to the lot that is shared with two restaurants. My reason for giving Hotel Verdant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom door did not close all the way in my room, which was very inconvenient, and one of the coffee mugs in my room was very obviously dirty upon my arrival (there were drips of coffee still in it). However, neither of those issues are total dealbreakers, and I do see myself staying at Hotel Verdant if I'm ever in that area again! read more

Excellent service, hands down. I was only there for 12 hours with a late check in and early check out, however everyone I encountered was two thumbs up! The linens...holy cow...top notch. And the bed - so comfy that I didn't want to get out of it! Love it that they provide a large, sealed, reusable, glass carafe of water. And, a really cool water pot to heat for tea. Ingenious! My one star knock is for 2 reasons: 1) I spaced packing q-tips and called the front desk for some. They didn't have any, which was sort of a shock...most hotels have an "emergency" kit or a small gift kiosk offering simple items that are easily forgotten by travelers. 2) My room faced a parking lot which wasn't a big deal, however they were doing some kind of demolition that began around 6:30a. The next morning, the young man who checked me out kindly let me know that next time I can request a quiet room to avoid the noise. A great tip! Neither 1 nor 2 is a deal breaker. Loved the hotel decor . Very clean and bright. Parking is about a block away. There is a restaurant and hotel roof bar . Both were lovely . I was very happy with the room but there were several cars outside revving their engines all thru the night which made sleeping difficult. read more

Marguerite is an Italian Restaurant with a pretty good variety of dishes and huge drink menu. Our room was very surprising to me. The hotel is well taken care of and it shows. Wow! We did not expect a hotel like this! We traveled to Racine at the last minute due to a death in the family. I searched the area we were in and all the usual chains got mediocre reviews and were more expensive than Hotel Verdant. Boy are we glad! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and lived up to its name. Every single staff member we came in contact with during our four night stay was amazing, efficient and friendly. The room (single king) was large with high ceilings and ours had a walled patio area that wasn't much but gave us an option for some fresh air. The bathroom was very roomy with a great shower and high quality shampoo and conditioner. If we find ourselves in Racine again we will definitely stay at Hotel Verdant! read more

Tried to get a drink at the bar. Waited patiently for probably 15 minutes. Standing next to someone the male bartender just took care of. No acknowledgment of any kind. Then he proceeded to take care of the people who walked up well after me. I understand the bar was busy but I waited patiently. We left! read more

Fantastic. Well appointed, clean and well sized rooms. The bar/lounge on the roof is excellent- you can see /have views of Lake Michigan, felt like I was in Chicago/NYC or other major city. Staff were lovely. Also centrally located, you can stroll down mainstreet, go to RAM (Racine Art Museum), check out the marina, if up for walking can walk all the way out to lighthouse at Reefpoint Marina and /or walk to the beach. Racine's beach is consistently top rated. Also dont miss Kewpee's Burgers, again walkable. This place is a gem! read more

Went for late-night drinks at the rooftop bar. It was great on several fronts. First, the ambiance is great. Clearly, much thought was put into the design--modern and chic. The staff was friendly, and made excellent mixed drinks. The location is the main draw--and it's leveraged well. Even at night, the outdoor seating is wonderful. I've lived in Racine for decades, and it was thrilling to sit on the roof and look out at this city that I've loved and studied most of my adult life. The indoor portion of the bar was also great. Comfortable seating, a big fireplace, and big windows wrapping the entire area. I can't wait to go again--and bring friends. read more

I was passing thru and stayed here. Built in August of 23, so pretty new. Friendly staff and has a nice restaurant downstairs and a very nice bar on the top floor. Rooms are modern and very nice. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Went there to see this supposedly fantastic roof top bar they have a couple hours before a wedding I was in town to attend. We arrived 2:45. The Yelp app said they were open and have a happy hour EVERY DAY "EVERY DAY" 2 TILL 5. That is NOT Mon through Thursday like they told us was the case. They would not even let us go up and see what we were missing out on. No you can't go upstairs till 3 they insisted. So we went to the lobby bar and they made us horrible old fasions that came out of a tap. Craft cocktails which I consider an old fashion should NOT come out of taps. They should be hand crafted perhaps even a muddled piece of fruit. Worst drink I ever had. Will not go back. read more

Everything was lovely except for the table of 8 drunks in the restaurant that were not dealt with by the management. One drunk actually fell on another guest. Otherwise , the hotel is great. Heck, I'll be first. What a beautiful hotel and rooftop lounge, and such a great development for Racine. Verdant has taken a lot of care to feature local artists and history, with artworks featured prominently on every floor and books of historical and artistic interest in the lobby. My suite was impressive and roomy. Quiet and with wonderful views. The rooftop lounge has indoor and outdoor seating, and an attractive well-stocked bar. The staff was doing a great job of keeping up with a full house on a gorgeous weekend evening. I wish I had stayed longer to see more of the sunset. There are lots of great dining options nearby, but hours can be limited, so plan ahead or consult with friendly desk staff. read more

What a wonderful addition to downtown Racine. Verdant is in a great old building that has been completely renovated. The rooms that I have stayed in include all the modern amenities plus much more.....clean, modern, quiet, comfortable....what more could you want? (Umbrellas in the room, malted milk balls from a local retailer, hot water pot to prepare steeped coffee are some nice f the unique items)The rooms are different configurations than standard rooms you find at hotel chains, which was necessary based on the building that was renovated, but that is what gives it the feeling of a boutique hotel. The breakfast buffet, included in the room price, was excellent. The only issue for a female traveling solo is the lack of valet parking. Interactions with all staff have been excellent. Highly recommend this hotel! read more
