Room 301 has a fantastic view and is full of charm. However...like many Prague hotels, it's kind of near a major thoroughfare and the street noise of passers takes some getting use to. When the windows are open (at least in this room) you hear the traveler's talk bounce against the large wall facing the hotel. So bring earplugs if you want to sleep with the windows open, which is what we did. Another thing to be aware of, and again, this was a theme in the two hotels we stayed at...they've installed a half-door on the shower vs a curtain. In this case, it was more like a 1/4 door (see photo), which made it difficult to navigate the showerhead around my big sexy frame without getting water all over the bathroom. So if you don't mind using your extra towels then this place has got the Prague charm you're looking for. When I searched for hotels, I wanted something that looked unique vs something "normal" and this place was certainly that. The decor is just very interesting and I think it helped us assimilate into the "essence" of Prague. One more note...while I did mention the noise, we went during tourist season so this will undoubtedly be better at different times of the year. And as well, this hotel is on the less touristy side of Charles Bridge (Mala Strana) so you will get less traffic/noise if you stayed on the Stare Mesto side. So if you're looking to dodge the large crowds, Mala Strana is the good district to explore. read more
