I pretty much love this hotel and am currently staying here and check out tomorrow. Seeing how the next day and the check out process goes, my review may change.
The check in process was very easy and the man who was working on Sunday night at 10pm was incredibly kind and helpful and very friendly. Probably the best check in process I've ever had a hotel, ever.
The rooms are nice and big, with shower and bathtub. The towels are very large, so they wrap around you almost twice. Robes are comfy as are the slippers. For this price, it's a very good bargain.
They have an easy to use "honesty bar" were you can get snacks and drinks and write down on the list what you want to buy. Cool.
Great location and very close to walk to everything you'd want to see and the area is not too noisy.
The breakfast is also very good.
The wifi is good depending on time of day.
Problems:
The AC in the rooms could be much better. It's not strong enough for tourists who are used to good AC.
The spa is always too busy it seems. It's hard to get an appointment and last night I had one at 8:15 and planned my whole day around it but then got to the spa and was told the therapist was probably too tired and I would need to come back the next day, but at a discount. OK, cool, but not great. We will see how the massage is later today.
They have a lovely gift shop with more "art" and modern gifts and souvenirs, not silly stuff. They have 4 cool wineglasses and I wanted to buy all 4. I asked the guy at the front desk about it and asked him if they had more in storage as I wanted 6. This was today (July 13) around 14:30 in the afternoon. I then asked him if he could contact the artist (the artist's name is on the sign with the glasses) or the source and get more for me. He said no, they are one of kind. I said I understood they were art glasses and not mass produced, but maybe the artist made a few more and could he find out. He kept saying over and over he knew the artist made no more of them. I asked him how he could know that. He got very rude and frustrated and practially slammed his cell phone down when I asked him if he could go online and find out or call someone who would know. He refused. He said there is no other store or place to get them and there are only 4. Only 4. Period. In the whole world. I went down the street to lunch, went online, found the same glasses, by the same artist and a local store and ordered 6. I then came back to the hotel and showed him this. He was no help at all.
Yes, I would stay here again, but this hotel could be even better. It's not perfect, but almost. read more
