Hotel Stella is in a great location, a few blocks walk from the train stations (there are two nearby, but I'd recommend avoid the busier one at Termini and go to the other, Pretorio - both are a few blocks away).
The inside was just "ok" but I wanted to give a good review especially because of the staff, they were really nice and friendly. The showers are CRAZY small. Like, if you need to shave you got to do that before (or after) getting in the shower. Some rooms are really small and some a bit larger. I moved to the smallest on the first night there on my own (could barely get around even with just me in the room) and luckily something larger on on the second night when I had a roomie.
There were more floors at this hotel versus some of the others that I stayed at, this one had about five, I think. They have an old school, smaller elevator - but I just booked it up and down the stairs most days, 'cause I can. And exercise is good.
Also, the breakfast here was better than some others during my tour of Italy, it just had more of a variety. The view from the top balcony where breakfast was served was also a nice little touch.
As far as the inside of the rooms, I'd probably go 3 solid stars, but as mentioned, the staff pushed it to 4.
