Hotel San Ramon is located right in the heart of historic Bisbee. Its 120 year-old brick building has been a bathhouse, barbershop, ice cream shop, and even a tortilla factory, but is now perfect as a small hotel. Our room was spacious, well-lit, and comfortable. While it's clear you are in a historic building, it has all the modern features you'd need. I especially appreciated the full-size fridge and smart TV. Everything is walking distance, including the Copper Queen Mine tour and many restaurants and shops. On arrival we were helped by Michael, who was very helpful and clearly loves his family's business. Parking is surprisingly easy with all the public spots out front. Hotel San Ramon is a great way to experience Bisbee and I would definitely stay here again next time. read more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel San Ramon over New Year's. The room was spacious with a nice view, and the check-in process was simple, which was appreciated. The room was advertised as including freshly roasted Bisbee Coffee Company coffee and bottled water, but instead, there was a Keurig with standard commercial coffee and no water provided. This was disappointing, so we ended up skipping the coffee. read more

This was a nice stay in a100 year old renovated hotel. Hence the twin beds were two fulls. And quite soft. It did have a Ac split unit in the room. That worked well. The TV Was of the smallest variety. Twice the height of my iPhone 8. I think at the rate we paid , it should be 3x larger. But our showers were hot and everything was spic n span. And the Towels were fluffy and bright white. The old offer of free drinks at the Owners Restaurant downstairs is no longer available. The Restaurant closed. The check out time of 11 is generous. We Will be able to do the copper mine tour and get back to our room to clean up. This is right next door to the Copper Queen Hotel. Easy walking to shopping and dining. Well Parking. Now the problem is parking. There is none. Up the street is public parking for everyone. Shared with a Couple bars , a magic theater, and a gothic ax throwing studio. Popular! The official parking is in a free lot across a two lane road next to the I80 Highway Entrance. But you don't know that till you check in. Old town is the way to go! read more

We had a mostly lovely one night stay in a cute room overlooking the central part of Bisbee. The bed was firm but comfortable and the room was well air conditioned and airy. We loved the décor. Unfortunately due to a mix-up by the hotel the morning of our check out there was no water as they were replacing the hotel's hot water heaters. This was apparently supposed to be done when no guests were present so unfortunately we were unable to shower in the morning and were woken up quite early by the installers moving heavy things and banging into walls. That being said I'm sure it was a one off occurrence and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

My family rented 2 rooms at San Ramon over the holiday week-at a premium rate for Bisbee. At first glance it was a lovely establishment and rooms appeared to be clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we ran into a major issue with NO HOT WATER in either room. Barely warm if we were lucky, but usually cold. The larger of the two rooms we rented had 2 furnaces, one of which did not work...coincidentally the one that heated the bathroom and kitchen. Temps were cold and snowy in Bisbee. Needless to say, it was unpleasant! To add insult to injury, the same room did not have a working coffee pot. The front desk was closed until the next afternoon at 3:00, our only option was to leave a voicemail upon checking out. I left a detailed message with our concerns, lack of hot water in 2 rooms, broken furnace, contact info, request for a callback and discount consideration, etc...I HAVE NOT HEARD A PEEP, that was two weeks ago. They clearly do not value their guests concerns or experiences. A lack of response is shockingly unprofessional, I work in customer service and this is unacceptable! I see other reviews with hot water issues, unreal, this is a 6 room establishment, hot water should not be an issue..beware people! read more

The location of this hotel is ideal. Right in the middle of town and within walking distance of everything. The staff was good. However, when you make your reservation, confirm with the hotel that the room you choose on the website is the actual room you get. We upgraded, based on the photo that had a microwave and sitting area. When we arrived, we did have a fridge and coffeepot, but no microwave. We needed the microwave to make our breakfast sandwiches the next morning. Additionally, the half and half that was in the room had expired in October 2021. read more

Only big tip: street noise from booming base of passing cruising cars and the bars below can be loud until midnight-ish. Bring a noise machine or ear plugs if you are an early to bed person. We really appreciated and enjoyed the historic building and the rustic but comfortable room. It was great having a full efficiency kitchen, complete with pots & pans and a coffee press. Rob, the owner and Ron, the assistant provided us positively outrageous service immediately upon check-in; helping carry our bags upstairs and even bringing us ice. They provided wonderful concierge service which is commendable during these rotten COVID -challenged times. This would have been a solid 5-Star review if not for just one unfortunate deficiency: we had no hot water available in the morning to shower or in the sink. We will hope to try Hotel San Ramon again another day when normalcy hopefully returns. read more

A top-tier boutique hotel experience! Nestled in the heart of Old Town Bisbee, this hotel pleasantly surprised us from start to finish. The rooms are super-clean and the beds are luxurious. The pillowcases on the four down pillows on each bed are obviously ironed... with care... giving the rooms a rich, crisp, clean, loved, sensuousness. The linens are way above average and the beds are plush and pillowy. Long, thick, buttery, velvet curtains add to the welcoming coziness. Most often in historic downtown boutique hotels around the world... rooms are so small; tight even... with bathroom doors that just miss the toilet or tub. Not here at the San Ramon. The bathroom was SPACIOUS and the room was... ROOMY. The ceilings have to be 12' feet high with fans atop. My friends' room, a few doors down, had a kitchen with a breakfast nook, a full-sized fridge and a bedroom with a couch??! Roomy! As for the proprietors; Rob and Sue are the sort of kind-hearted, well-meaning people that make us wish we lived closer... just to get to know them better. Good people. Great people! Ron himself often cleans the rooms and irons those pillow cases. They also own the restaurant on the ground floor and a coffee shop across the street. They love their town. They take pride in their businesses and in their customers' experiences... and it shows! Thank you Rob and Sue! We will be back. read more

What a lovely hotel. This far exceeded our expectations. The rooms, including the bathroom! are large and clean. The grand windows in our room (#5) overlooks the beginning of brewery gulch including a small park. But as wonderful as the rooms are, the staff is even better. The young ladies we were fortunate enough to meet could not have been more professional, courteous and incredibly helpful. I spent a long time picking a hotel for our visit and I chose well! I would call this a newly renovated, contemporary antique hotel. New beds, fresh crisp linens, clean new flooring, smells good, impeccably kept, and beautifully decorated with cute details that maintain its character and charm- right in the middle of everything Bisbee! Paula, the general manager, showed us around and gave us a tour of all the available rooms. The corner room we chose provided beautiful views and natural sunlight by day and lush blackout drapery that helped keep it dark for sleeping. The room included some free drink coupons for the award winning Mexican restaurant downstairs. We had dinner there and it was delicious! Woke up the next morning and made fresh coffee in our room prior to heading out for the day. I would note that there is not a person 24 hours at a lobby desk and there is no phone in the room. 99% of people have cell phones (hopefully you don't forget your charger!) and there is a number provided to contact someone at any hour (if they pick up immediately or respond within a reasonable time, I'm not sure). There is only one fire alarm in our room and it's in the far corner away from the door. Looks like there are some small holes in the ceiling near the door where alarms should be, but they are missing. That being said, directly outside of the door in the hall there is an alarm. This is a different experience than staying at a Hyatt or Hilton but doesn't mean you should expect anything less. They have made every detail of our stay great all with a quaint feel. In order to gain a 5 star rating however, I would suggest they include more than 2 big towels with a room of 2 double beds. 4 large towels would be expected. Additionally, a small detail, I noticed bottled water in all the rooms we toured but ours didn't have any. Since no one is immediately available regarding towels it makes assistance for such things tricky, so making sure all the small details are in place would be necessary to garner the 5 stars. We received a call back 1.5 hours after the message we left. Be prepared to climb a few stairs with your luggage to get to your room. It is Bisbee after all. It has all the personality I could ask for of the old, without it being stale. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Bisbee! read more

I value YELP'S reputation of having HONEST REVIEWS and felt the need to share. For the record, I messaged you from the room as soon as we found said bugs, I told you that I had captured one ( of the 9) in my empty water bottle. I asked if you wanted to look at it and you declined. I NEVER MET YOU ! So how could you have seen it???? Unless you saw other bug family members!! You told me on the phone that they were seed bugs and they came in from the window( which was closed) After an itchy night we checked out and again the office was closed and STILL no one was available to talk to about this. As you are a bug 'nerd' why when 'seed' bugs are attracted to light did we find them at the foot of the bed,under the mattress and between the sheets in TOTAL DARKNESS?! My colleagues at hospitals in Tucson verified they were at stage 5 of their life cycle. To end this I am very glad that no one else has found or complained of your BED BUGS since my visit, as Bisbee is a truly BEAUTIFUL and CHARMING TOWN to visit. Goodnight. read more

I have visited Bisbee many times and stayed at various hotels. Bisbee is a quaint town with quirks-that is what I love about it. Hotel San Ramon is by far the best and more beautiful and better than we expected.Yes the stairs are steep but the rooms and comfortable beds made it worth the climb. I agree with the review from 1/19- There did need to be more towels/wash cloth sets in the room and the hot water wasn't plentiful. Paula is a great "face" of the property. My family has stayed at the San Ramon for over a decade. It's a great little place in the center of it all. The front desk is always pleasant and helpful. They have boutique items on display and available for purchase. My mom always finds something she likes. The building is beautiful. They did a great job mixing modern with antique. The hotel is clean and cheerful. The rooms have a fantastic view of Brewery Gulch and the museum. I love the traditional details found through out the hotel but that it is updated, comfortable and clean. It's my first recommendation to friends when they come in to town to visit. read more

What to say so many things...the San Ramon is beautiful, CLEAN, spacious, centrally located, chic and very accommodating! This was our 3rd time in Bisbee but 1st stay at the San Ramon. We came to town for our wedding and eventually had all 6 rooms rented for our wedding party. I'm so thankful we booked this hotel as it was perfect for us as we had ample space to gather and mingle. I can't say enough about Paula the manager she is AMAZING!! She keeps the hotel in tip top shape! Rooms and bathrooms were very clean for our entire stay. No issues with the hot water either as previously reported. All of my guests loved the beds! Everyone kept saying "we need to find out what kind of mattresses these are" LOL: Paula also gave us good recommendations on restaurants! Plus the location of this hotel is great as your within a short walking distance to almost all the bars and restaurants but the margaritas and food are Santiago's are the best! Stayed here last week after prior stays and once again it was nice, we found this after one trip where the Copper Queen was booked,it's next door,and we like SR better now. It's two floors, so be prepared to carry bags up the stairs, but the rooms are clean, cool, and up graded. We like that Santiago's shares the same building, very good food, but they were shut down due to employee shortage, but the owner moved what he has over to "The Table" across the road, also good food,and great employees. read more

First visit to Bisbee and we stayed here for one night. Room was large and very clean. I love that they give you menus to local restaurants do you can decide before you go. Windows open which I love when it's 55 degrees!!! It's on the corner so you do hear a lot of traffic however they provided earplugs. While getting ready for bed I noticed a spider on the ceiling. There was no way I could reach it and I wasn't going to sleep with it above my head. I called the night manager and she sent her husband to fix it with in 10 minutes. They both very polite and friendly I did not make me feel like I was crazy to call them and midnight. Our room has a small refrigerator and microwave which was a nice touch. The only other thing is that once the sun came out this morning we were awake. With six large windows, sunshine streaming in so take a sleep mask if you aren't an early bird! Having stayed there once and loved it, I'm headed back this year again for my annual Bisbee Pride pilgrimage (come on down, it's one friendly, long, fun weekend - always Father's Day Weekend)! I was impressed with the excellent customer service by Tamara, the manager, who really goes out of her way to take care of you, no matter what you may need. She's friendly, kind, genuine, and knows how to run this hotel and take care of you! If you're looking to be smack dab in the middle of Old Bisbee and therefore not have to haul yourself all over the place, you'll love it! Situated on the second story of a building that houses the wonderful Mexican restaurant, Santiago's on the ground floor, this small hotel has a wonderful sense of Bisbee and hominess to it in each of its rooms. All decorated differently, and all but one on the street (corner of Brewery Gulch and Howell Ave, next door to the Copper Queen Hotel), each room has charm, personality and all the amenities you want, but may not expect, like makeup remover pads, for example. Bottled water, fresh cookies, fluffy white towels and the wonderful Old West ambience that is Bisbee are in this place in every corner. One room, the one I stay in, is in the only room not on a street, so if you'd prefer more quiet (Bisbee is a fun party place on special weekends, so yes, it can get noisy), go for the Golondrina room. It has a skylight way up in the very tall ceiling, and a great air conditioner, so it's a lovely place for a little afternoon nap. Yes, each room comes with coffee vouchers and pairs of soft foam earplugs. That coffee place is just across the street and a lovely place to sit and enjoy either inside or on the porch. They do have more than coffee! I can't recommend Hotel San Ramon highly enough for its comfortable, clean, charming and lovely rooms and its delightful, caring, friendly staff! Whatever you need, they'll do whatever they can do take care of you! One note, there is no elevator, and the one flight of stairs is a full flight, so if you have mobility issues, you either go one step at a time, like me, or you would need to find another place to stay. We have yet to see any credit to our credit card Update--Thank you for responding to my review approximately 5 months later. Love this place,very clean , rooms were large, fresh cookies every day, they own the restaurant below ( Santiago's) which is excellent. My only complaint was no coffee maker in room, But they do give you coffee vouchers for the coffee house(2 minute walk) which isn't to bad if you don't mind having to get dress to go get coffee, and you can't do that till 7am when they open :( Otherwise I would give this place a 5 star if it weren't for the coffee situation. This place does have a lot going for it but the good things don't make up for the bad. Yes its nice and each room has a different theme but the price is ridiculous which I guess is to be expected for Bisbee/Tombstone area. BUT I split a 2 night stay with 3 people and I was still paying 70$ something. NOT WORTH IT! Especially considering that all three of us paid the day we checked in and then the next morning the desk girl confronts me in the hallway asking for my credit card. No explanation is given, she just wants my card. I ask why. She says that we need to be charged for our stay. I told her we already have and she asked me if I was sure! I told her that's her job to know and then had to shoulder my way past her to get outside. Then the room itself is disappointing, all the rooms were priced the same but when I look into the other rooms I see fridges and more space. Ours was tiny and we were told we are not suppose to use the AC. Then there is the fact that the sun rose in our window every morning and you would think that they would install proper light blocking curtains, but they didn't. So enjoy that sun right in your face. I do like the extra security door. Then again this is all to be expected of most of the hotels/bars/restaurants in the Bisbee/Tombstone area. Bisbee/Tombstone is one of those things you do a couple times but in your life (if you actually want to do it more than once) because 1) everything (literally everything) is over priced due to them being tourist towns and that is how they make their money 2) its more of a bucket list thing, been there done that saw the gun show and got the shirt. Never really need or want to do it again (because of the prices!) 3) don't leave the tourist areas because it can be super grungy/run down (especially tombstone). read more

This was a very quaint hotel, in a busy part of town. The rooms were neat, and clean. Our stay was pleasant. The reason I rated so high was the fact that I had left an article of clothing behind, and didn't know it until we returned to Tuscon. I called immediately. The manager answered, and said she was actually heading to Tuscon that afternoon, could we meet her? She went out of her way communicating with us, and returning the item. Very cute place to stay. My wife and I went down for my birthday and had a great time. The room was clean, the bathroom was very nice with a good sized bathtub and ample water pressure. Staff was friendly and the coffee provided was local and tasty! The building is old and charming, fitting with the general ambiance of Bisbee. Be advised if you bring lots of luggage that there are, I want to say 18, stairs to the floor with the rooms. There are lots of stairs to climb in Bisbee. We got our workout for the weekend to work off the beer and food walking around the town and returning to the room. Lol! I would stay here again and highly recommend it. We had a room facing the street so there was some noise but earplugs were provided. It wasn't that noisy, even for a Friday, although my wife did claim she heard someone going up and down the stairs all night on Thursday, when it was mostly empty! Many people claim to have seen or heard ghosts in this and just about every other hotel in Old Bisbee and I didn't want to get up to check. Spooky! :-) Thank you for the fun getaway! Oh, also the Mexican restaurant next door is excellent, the historical museum is right across the street, the Copper Queen is also next door, and right around the corner is fabulous Brewery Avenue, home to a local brewery, some fun bars, and olive oil tasting!
