Fifth (and final) hotel for our 'globetrotting' Italian vacation and this was SO much better/nicer than our first stop in Rome (a budget hotel with zero perks).
We were over the moon to see a central air console on the wall!
Well, until we tried it and realized it was... warm air?! (Damn, there goes a star right off the bat.)
Modern/sleek bathroom (including tissues - always makes me happy - and really good/large towels that are actually absorbent!).
Classy (and professional) staff behind the main desk.
A bottle of prosecco was chilled and waiting for us to arrive at our room?! (Such a cool gesture - even though I wasn't much a fan of it, to be honest.)
As expected/feared - the elevator is NOT meant for four Americans, I don't care what the decal inside of the lift says.
Entirely too many mirrors (in the room as well as the bathroom) for my liking.
With only warm air blowing from the vents we had to resort to... opening the windows which means all the noise Roma is always producing which means... a rough not-so-restful sleep.
Not sure how/why but breakfast wasn't included (I guess that was a different price tier?) but for 15 euros per person we could've partook (but opted not to).
And the hotel went above and beyond for us... we checked-out in the morning and they not only kept our luggage safely secured at their location but let us come back about an hour before our taxi was scheduled to get us so we could relax in their really nice indoor patio-garden-room, charge our phones, use of the "WC", etc.
It's really those little things that you end up remembering the most, right?
(And probably why you bust your hump 50 weeks of the year just so you can sneak away for 2 weeks at a place like this in a country like this.)
We'd return here, for sure. read more
