Stayed: Sept 4-7, 2026
My friends and I stayed here mainly because it offered two separate beds, and we were four and two and two. I thought it was supposedly close to downtown but it's not quite as close as I expected. It was a bit of a walk with hills. Coming from San Francisco, we were all shocked that Madrid was hilly.
On the bright side, the hotel was clean and the AC worked, which was definitely appreciated when it was hella hot. The bathroom was another story. The bathtub had a partial door, so water ended up splashing everywhere. The tub was also super slippery, and we were honestly afraid one of us would slip and crack our heads open. They also didn't have a drying rack for towels, so our towels were constantly wet. Not ideal when you're sharing a room and trying to reuse them.
We opted for the breakfast buffet, and this ended up being one of the better breakfasts we had during our entire stay in Spain. The selection was plentiful, and I was especially impressed that they had three coffee machine stations. There were plenty of options to choose from, and we were all satisfied with breakfast. The staff during breakfast were a bit cranky but efficient.
Overall, this hotel served its purpose, but there were a few things that could have been better. The cleanliness, working AC, and breakfast were definite positives, but the slippery bathtub and constantly wet towels were frustrating. I'd say it's a decent option if you're looking for a clean place to stay, but keep the walk to downtown and the bathroom setup in mind which is hard to avoid in Europe in general. read more
