After a not so great experience with our hotel in Florence, we were delighted to stay at Hotel Primavera. Here are the Pros and Cons.
The Pros:
Location: this hotel is centrally located, minutes away from everything. Every single major tourist spot is within walking distance: Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, the Pantheon, Colosseum, Roman Forum, the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps.
Price: For the location, the price is great.
Free breakfast. Our hotel in Florence provided a much better breakfast than Hotel Primavera but this one was OK. They had Cornettis, bread, cereal, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, and juice. It was enough to get us started every day.
Our room: It was a decent size. Room was clean. There was free Wi-Fi (finally!) and the water pressure worked great (unlike our stay in Florence).
The Cons:
Our room: My bed wasn't really a bed, it felt more like a cot. The mattress was super thin and didn't have too much support. The queen size bed had a good mattress, but no the twin sized one.
Neighbors: There was 1 night where we woke up in the middle of the night with rowdy guests in the hallway. Luckily, it was a onetime situation. I've had this happen to 5 star hotels in the US too, so not a complete turn-off.
Overall, if you're looking for a central location in Rome, I would suggest this hotel. read more
