I stayed at this hotel in late December, early January as part of a tour group. It is family owned, and extremely clean. The location is excellent, about 1 minute from the tram stop, walking distance to shopping & restaurants, and 2 blocks from a large enclosed mall with all sorts of shops including a large Tesco Supermarket. It is in a quiet residential area, but close to the major tourist spots.
I'm not sure the price range of the hotel, but I'm guessing it's moderate because I paid extra for a single supplement on the tour and it wasn't high at all. Most of the staff were very nice, although there was one that the tour participants thought was "snippy." The person manning the desk always spoke English, but some of the other staff members didn't, but that wasn't important.
The room was a little dreary looking, not cheerful, but to me cleanliness and comfort are the most important things. The bed was hard, but okay. The towels were not soft, but very absorbent. The shower was small, and had no place to put your soap or shampoo bottle. It had a dispenser for soap. The water was able to get nice and hot, which is nice when it is so cold outside.
They had a daily breakfast which was fine, but it was the same every day. It would have been nice to have some variation. There are two computers that you can use in the lobby, and you can print out boarding passes to the front desk.
All in all, if you are looking for a clean place to stay in a great area, this is a great hotel. If you are looking for someplace fancy with extra amenities, you may want to look for someplace else read more
