I stayed at this hotel for business, and it was a convenient location for my needs. For a general visitor, some of the text on their site makes it sound more central than it is, but it is a nice area and quick & easy to get anywhere on the adjacent subway & tram stops. The price varies: this stay was reasonable, but sometimes it's substantially more expensive than comparable nearby non-chain options. Rooms meet brand expectation; lobby is a bit nicer & more modern than many Courtyards. Breakfast was a good spread, typical for Prague with US & European standards. read more

Before we arrived, I requested for a mobile digital key at 9 PM the night before on their app and have let them know when I should be arriving but surprisingly, it was not worked on. That's fine since we didn't have to wait too long for a room. When we checked in, a guy helped us, though he seemed to like he worked there for some time, he gave me the impression that he was still learning. Maybe it's a language thing. As a Titanium Elite member, he asked if I wanted points or F&B credit for breakfast in which I would have to pay the difference. I told him I'd take the points. He asked 3 more times. This was the first time at a Marriott that someone tried to hard sell their F&B credit over points. Surprised that breakfast is not free like other Courtyards! Then he asked if we wanted one or two keys and I requested two. He said actually can you get the other one tomorrow? The system can't make it anymore. I'm hoping that's a language barrier because how does the system only make 1 key only? How is it possible that it cannot make one right after the other? This was a first in my decades of traveling. Anyways, the room was comfortable, great for its price. This hotel is quite out of the way from the attraction places but there is a mall next door so that was convenient. We ended up staying here an extra night because our flight got canceled. This time, a woman checked us in and even upgraded my rooms. She made me felt like a valued customer of Marriott. The 1 star is removed because of the unpleasant check in process with the guy on the first night. read more

Courtyard Marriott Prague gave us such a warm welcome for our first visit to the Czech Republic. We have been honored with the utmost in hospitality and professionalism. Admittedly we are fans of the Marriott Bonvoy Brand and usually of the high end hotels, but when we booked late in the summer, the Marriott Courtyard was the only available option. Well, we were assured the same high level of professionalism and never ever disappointed. The staff here is superb, efficient, ready to please, skilled in handling those difficult Americans we all hate to encounter, plus each individual was very fluent in English. For accommodations we were given the very best suite on the top floor with a good view of the city. Marriott has comfortable firm mattresses thus, we slept very well. Plus the area is quiet. They offer a large supply of toiletries, liters of mineral water and lemon water. Maybe Courtyard doesn't have turn down bedtime service (first world problem, right?) We are quite okay without the morsel of chocolate on our fluffy goose down pillows nightly. :) Conclusion: We are very smitten on our first date with Prague. **Our breakfast was included. One of the worst hotel experiences. Checked in for two nights and couldn't sleep one bit, had to leave after first night. The room had a running heater that no one came to fix as promised, even with the window open it was so hot. On top of that the mattress was terrible, way too soft and uncomfortable. I wouldn't ever recommend anyone stay here. read more

Outstanding property that is probably one of the best Courtyards I have stay at --- with a full bar and restaurant. Located steps from the subway/train line, Prague City's Courtyard is an outstanding hotel that offers all the convenience of a full service Marriott --- but at a very reasonable price. PLUS, depending on the time of year, this location offers breakfast packages that allow all guest to have an all you can eat buffet (I'm not talking a doughnut and a glass of juice). The breakfast offers American and European styles that will keep you full most of the day. The service was great --- all the associates were helpful and were empowered to make a great stay. If visiting Prague this is a Fantastic place to stay! It's got everything you want in a clean safe comfortable hotel. The staff is hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing breakfast buffet included. The area offers great restaurant options. Hotel is directly across the street from a great 3 story shopping mall and a supermarket. In the mall is the subway station zip on for a 15 minute inexpensive ride to all the tourist attractions. Best place!! read more

The Marriott hotel is located in a suburb called Flora in central Prague. It is conveniently located next to a major shopping mall and metro station. The front desk staff all speak English and are friendly and helpful. A full bar and restaurant are inside the hotel but prices are a lot higher than local restaurants close by. Rooms are clean and halls stay quiet at night. Elevators work fast and the fitness center is small and cramped with the max of 3 people in the room during a workout session. They do exchange money without a fee and the rates are fair in my opinion. If I do end up coming back to the area, I would choose this Marriott hotel again. read more

Reviewing a big corporate hotel chain is pointless in my opinion, it's akin to reviewing a McDonalds. Nevertheless, I'd like to compare it to local flavor. The room has everything you want, to include a few English channels on the teli, a good bed and a solid night's sleep. However, the main glitch is an air of snobbery that is just a tad annoying. The price for a night's stay is easily four times of any local hotel and the bar is no different. And that air of snobbery can be seen by the front desk employees as well. Good location, across the street from the Flora Mall and Metro station. It's a direct Metro line to Old Town and most of the tourist sights. Restaurant is expensive, but there are many dining choices in the Mall, including a supermarket. The front desk staff speak good English and are very helpful. read more

The hotel is not just about the accommodation. I have a good experience with Purple Basil restaurant situated in the lobby which serves both Mediterranean and Czech cuisine. I like the setting on the street level with a lot of natural lights and open display kitchen. Apart from that you can enjoy the long classic bar and see-through (glass door on both sides) real fireplace which makes the winter atmosphere incredibly cozy. Holiday parties can be fun because you can relax and act a bit crazy in front of the people you're constantly told to act professional around. I was lucky to attend a company party here just before Christmas. Don't you just love to show people that you can be shaped up into good looking person, eat fine food for free or possibly find a hookup? Whatever your motivation is, the party at Courtyard was amazing without bad Czech "Superstar" singer, stale wine and tired finger foods. The DJ played the songs which pleased the crowd, the food was fresh, modern and inventive (Thanks Chef!) and instead of profane photo booth session you could try pull-ups on the trapeze or taste fine American Rums. Based on Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews, I chose this hotel for my vacation stop at Prague. Honestly, I am blown away by the customer service, convenience of the location, and the cleanliness of the hotel. This place is simply amazing. First of all, as an elite Marriott member, I was upgraded to a huge double room for no extra cost. The front desk personnel is the most friendly crew you will ever meet, and they can answer all types of questions you have. You can get money right from the lobby ATM and even buy train tickets in the lobby too, saving you from going out for two of the most necessary initial items as first stops. The hotel is situated within a 5-minute walk to a large mall, where within there is a supermarket for all of your fruit/water needs. In addition, the customer service is superb. We had several requests including additional towels, toilet papers, and other items. They were delivered quickly and promptly. Lastly, we were impressed by how clean the hotel is from the lobby to hallway to finally the room itself. Overall, we are extremely pleased that we chose this hotel as our stay in Prague. Our service was excellent during our 2 day stay in Prague. The restaurant had a great Easter Sunday brunch and a nice place to unwind at the end of the day. The location is convenient as the subway system is right across the street on the mall. Everyone here spoke English too. Great stay. Overall, great staff and a nice property with a convenient location. The Best: -- Friendly, helpful staff, from the front desk, to the bar/restaurant, to the housekeeping staff. All quick to help, knowledgeable, and warm. Always quick to look up information (opening hours, tram routes, etc.) -- Nice property, modern in design but comfortable, and well maintained. -- Mix of amenities just right for leisure travel (snack shop well stocked with things to make a light meal; bar/restaurant with good food and drink choices; enough travel brochures and advice to not be overwhelming; small refrigerator in room; etc.) -- Location. Across from the Mall that contains everything: grocery store, department store, stationery store, pharmacy, cafés, AND metro/tram line connections. Just a few minutes to anywhere. -- Public transportation tickets available at the front desk. Perfect! -- Fast Wi-Fi. That was wonderful. The Rest: -- Snack shop ice cream had lots of ice cream, but only one flavor. And I soooo wanted chocolate! -- Housekeeping was super, but didn't always refill used items every day. One day, they missed replacing the shampoo/body wash (I had enough left from the previous day, so it wasn't an issue other than I noticed.) The laundry bag I used wasn't replaced the entire stay. Again, I didn't need it, but it was noticed. -- The tourist advice was largely limited to the mass market industrial guided walks on offer. It was clear to me the hotel gets a cut, so alternate tours weren't on offer. I'd suggest a variety: An all inclusive mass production tour (as currently offered), and something more intimate (such as Prague Behind the Scenes -- I took both tours, and for my tastes the Prague Behind the Scenes was far better.) -- Restaurant food was sub-par and expensive. The steak was under seasoned and tough (despite it being a normally tender cut of beef), and the sauce was gelatinous. The 3-scoop ice cream was good, especially the strawberry gelato. But when I ordered it next time, expecting strawberry gelato, I got strawberry ice cream. My expectations of a refreshing gelato were dashed. (Notice the ice cream theme in my review?) -- As with most hotels, the in-hotel laundry costs are sky high. There's a shop in the mall across the street, but they are also expensive and won't do socks and undergarments. Go to the laundry at the corner of Korruní and Čáslavská to pay a reasonable price. In summary: For leisure travel, this is a great hotel. Depending on your business travel style, this could be a great place. (I prefer more services when traveling for business, as time is usually more precious: room service, concierge, etc.). read more
