I asked if we could be assigned to a quiet room (as I had read reviews complaining about the noise). Shea, the clerk, responded she could not reassign the room because I had used Expedia. I told her I don't use Expedia or third party when booking hotels. Her response to me was that I did use Expedia. She continued to argue with me. I even allowed her to review the reservation on my phone and she claimed it was third party. I went to the hotel website and attempted to book another room to prove that the hotel uses webrez. She said Expedia uses webrez. Just unbelievable nasty rudeness from her. Like I was lying. Her tone was so nasty I would score it a 20 out of 10. I asked for the manager and she gave me a card with Andy Stoll's cell number. I called while at the desk, he screens his calls and did not answer. At that point Shea states that she sees where the problem is, that there is another guest with a similar name checking in tonight and they used Expedia. At this point she had already confirmed my first name. She apologized but there was no coming back from the nastiness. It unbelievable that someone in customer service could behave this way. She represents the hotel and should be terminated.

This place needs some love!…read more It could be really fantastic, but could use a solid paint job and scrub down cleaning with some TLC. +++Located in a quiet mountain town, this is honestly one of the most reasonable places you can stay in this touristy area. But it's a hostel located inside a mexican restaurant, and let me tell you, you will crave some chips and salsa. Everything smells like mexican food, which I love, but not in my bedroom. Bathrooms are shared with the restaurant... I don't know who would find it more odd, the tourist showering in the restaurant bathroom, or the restaurant guest? We showered after 9pm to avoid that, but it's something to keep in mind. +++Nice outdoor seating area, picnic table on the patio can be used by guests, but no ice and overall very dirty. I took the comforter off the bed immediately, and there are cob webs and dust everywhere. For a little over $65 a night for a two bedroom (bunk bed style beds) it was ok, but definitely not great. I won't be back here, but if you are looking for a cheap place and aren't too picky this place will be fine for you!

The restaurant is large and very attractive, but I found the food pretty lackluster. Not very spicy. There was more of a black pepper flavor in my enchiladas than chile pepper. The waitress was very impatient by special dietary requests from my dining partners to the point of rudeness. Unlikely to return.

I even told our kids, "dad did this to be nice and spontaneous, so even if it's bad, just be grateful and act happy". I wasn't sure what to think at first, it definitely had character at first impression, but it could go either way once you get into the rooms (I mean, we've had some spontaneous hotel experiences that did not turn out so great). I was so pleasantly surprised when we got to the room- the beds were huge and SO COMFORTABLE (even the soft pillows which are hard to find in hotels)! The beds were so comfortable that I chose to turn in early because I just wanted a good night sleep in a soft, comfy bed that I could mold into. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, housekeeping and maintenance deserve a shout out because I'm PICKY and opted to shower without my shower shoes! Rooms were decorated adorably and the balcony overlooking the river was a treat! Breakfast was basic with hardboiled eggs and toast being my only personal option, but they also had sweets, Bagels, frozen burritos, cereal, etc. We would Definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to you High maintenance diva's is out there.

Good too high beds nice decore. No comfortable side chairs just waiting room types in room. Nice deck or balcony on river. Good parking. Worthless breckfast. Friendly staff. A bit more effort this place could be top notch. Not that close to downtown shopping!

We were in town for an event that included dinner but we ended up bailing on that and based on the recommendation of the bartender at the Imogene Hotel we ended up here. They have a small dining room that apparently is almost always booked out so we ate at the bar. Really nothing negative to say. Service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with the hostess that seated us and our servers. They offer chef specials for a starter (salad) and for multiple entrees. They also offer a daily special cocktail. The food was solid and the presentations were really well done. I posted our salad courses to show how they handle it. The wife had the on menu ember roasted beet and apple salad. While the apples were scant the overall flavor was fantastic and the local goat cheese had tremendous punch. The salad was perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. I went with the off menu local tomato and cucumber salad which also included feta, dill, a red wine vinegar dressing and some zaatar seasoning. Again a solid dish, pretty to look at and great tasting. I went with chef special of venison stew. Again, perfectly cooked, the venison fork tender, the vegetables being cooked al dente and the broth being so good I wanted order a cup and just drink it up. We love bolognese and make it at home all the time. the on menu version used just lamb for the protein which (to us) was a bit unusual as you will usually see them with multiple meats. Suffice it to say, this did not need it. The flavor was out of this world fantastic, the rigatoni was cooked perfectly and the freshly grated parmesan was the perfect touch to enhance the overall flavor. Score this a solid 10 - when we return Ouary we will be back to eat here and may even try the hotel out.
