The location is a few blocks away from the Metro, line M3. There are some restaurants and shops nearby, but it feels more like a residential area to me.
The rooms are old, but clean and well lit. The shower is tiny - I can barely bend over to wash my legs or pick up soap (there's no where to place your toiletries in the shower). The last hotel I stayed at in Rome also had a small shower. I think this is a trend. They offer free wifi here, no free breakfast. The large main doors lock at 11pm, so be sure to bring your room key as that unlocks it for you. Checkin ends at 10pm.
Hotel staff is friendly and polite. A guy was knocking at our door, likely another guest, and my wife was nervous about answering it (there's no peep hole at the door either). She called the front desk and they were helpful.
