Hospitality was amazing. Location is awesome. We arrived early from a Cruise, and they let us have our room early (because one was available) and allowed us to store our luggage the next day before our flight. Highly recommend!!!!

The only coffee offered was this tiny Keurig in the lobby.

This was a very expensive stay that missed the mark in many ways. The location is prime, but it was not enough to warrant the terrible experience we had, nor the $400+/night. We booked directly through the hotel website. I saved the confirmation number when I booked luckily, as there was no correspondence from the hotel. Never heard from them. At the airport waiting to takeoff, I was curious if they offered a shuttle from the airport so I looked up their number online and called. It didn't even ring, no out of service message, just dead air. I emailed to ask about the shuttle, turned my phone off for the flight. In Miami, 6 hours later, I checked my email. No response. I tried the phone again, dead air. Got a Lyft to the hotel. When it was our turn to speak with the front desk representative, I told her the phone wasn't working. She said she was aware and it was because they were under renovation. Unsurprisingly, they figured out a way for the credit card machine to work, and their computers, but couldn't find a way to have a working phone for their business. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. You need to be reachable by your customers. I then mentioned that I had also emailed that morning. She then opened the email and said, Oh I see it here, I missed it. Again, just terrible customer service. The room was ok size wise, but not without issues. The cleaning staff were having very loud conversations in the echoey hallway outside our room. Literally yelling things to each other at opposite ends of the long hallway, someone's phone kept ringing and they kept ignoring it. The gap under our door was huge (I am pretty sure a large cat could slip under) and provided no help in drowning out their boisterous conversation. At night, we put our bags and an extra pillow in front fo the door to block the light and some of the noise. There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang a hand towel, nor anywhere to hang your bath towel other than the handle on the shower door. We discovered on our second day that there were actually some hooks in the wall, behind the door, but they had been used to hang up the ironing board. The TV was wall mounted and had a cable box just perched precariously atop the flat screen. I have no idea how it hasn't already fallen to the ground. There was nothing holding it in place. After we both washed our hands upon arrival, the sink held water as it was apparently clogged. We left the room for sightseeing and dinner and upon our return several hours later, there was still standing water in the sink. We weren't hopeful that they would be able to fix it in a timely manner and were going to just wait it out, but by the morning, after several uses, it was getting to the point where we would no longer be able to use the sink. I would love to have been able to pickup the room phone and call the front desk for assistance, but as mentioned, they chose to have no working phones. I got in the elevator in the buliding I was staying in and went outside to get to the lobby building, found someone at the desk and told them what was up. They said they would send someone up. The maintenance/housekeeping representative arrived with a plunger. She spent a good ten minutes and a LOT of elbow grease to unclog the sink. There was no coffeemaker in the room, so on our first morning, I went down to see what the options were. There were two other guests waiting to get coffee from the smallest, non-commercial Keurig machine I've ever seen. This was the only way to get coffee for ALL the guests in the hotel. It had to have its reservoir filled manually in the nearby water cooler and no one from the hotel was filling it. This was 100% self-serve. No instructions and no assistance were offered by the hotel staff. $400/ night warrants at least some brewed coffee or an in-room method.

Definitely a good hotel for a decent price, right on the main strip on ocean drive. The hotel has a elevator, really nice dining room area, out side seating, a nice latin restaurant cafe that's down stairs and its connected to the hotel .only compliant there was no pool.but as guests you have access to the victor hotel right up the street, that has a really nice pool.you also have access to there internet cafe, that has apple desktop computers and free wifi. The food is really good me and my wife enjoyed their food and drinks.I had chicken cutlets with yellow rice and beans, and my wife had taco salad plus a couple of alcoholic beverages. The staff over there was great, the rooms were clean, the sheets and towels well maintained. The room service and customer service was good. Don't forget the beach is right across the street. Definitely a good price hotel on ocean drive with out you breaking the bank.

This was very much an OK hotel. The biggest benefit to staying here is the location. You're required to enter through an open restaurant which situates in front of the hotel entrance. Check-in is slow. Which was a little annoying as we were busting for a bathroom at the time. It seems they haven't updated their technology in a long while. They do have free wifi which is good. (We were a little confused at first as the room card we were given said a wifi code was required but the person who served us couldn't find one for us.) As for the room, it's small but nice. Bed is comfy and there's a crazy double shower which is pretty cool. Our view wasn't great but I suppose natural light counts for something? What we didn't like was that the bathroom pointed towards the front of the building and there was a spotlight shining through the window at night. The bathroom door does not stop light (it is frosted glass) so our room, where we slept, was extremely bright throughout the night. The walls and doors do not seem to stop sound. We could hear very clearly anyone moving or talking in the connecting hallway and who knows if anyone could hear us in our room. Little unsettling.

    Alley fire stairs to room

Let me start by saying this hotel is in a great location. Right in the heart of all the action of South Beach. Everything is within walking distance or you can rent a bicycle. The property though seems to be in a state of renovation and transition. It has great potential but the property and rooms are quirky. During our stay, elevators were not working. We were assigned a room facing the beach on the 5th floor, north side of the building but we had to carry everything up the stairs. This adds another hurdle, we had to walk out back to the alley, very dark and seedy at night, wall to the fire stairs hallway and walk up the fire stairs to the room. The room had no room number designation on it and opened right into the room. This is clearly meant to be a back emergency door. If you forget to lock the handle, anyone from the alley can access the room. And let me tell you, if anything 'bad' happens nobody will know. No cameras and no access to the office. Just stairs towards the alley. The room had nice laminate floors, bed and linens were nice, small fridge, wardrobe closet. The front room had no furniture in it. Just windows that opened towards the beach and a door that is the front door opening up to only the door to the room next door and the elevator. The bathroom was nice BUT there was a glass paned door right in front of the shower and toilet that exits to a rear terrace that exits to another set of fire stairs. We didn't eat at the property and the only parking was at a nearby public garage at $20 a day. The one shining star during our stay was the night desk clerk, Alfred, who checked us in. He helped us carry our stuff up the stairs, kept apologizing for the elevator not working and offered us champagne for our trouble. He also covered the windows of the door in the bathroom so we could have some privacy and probably told maintenance because the next day they frosted the glass. The other employees we dealt with seemed disinterested and even bothered by our asking questions or for help when the fire door was closed to gain access to the stairs to the room. And it helps that I speak Spanish so I could understand what was being said when we did ask for help. I probably would not stay here again in the future but the location and price would be enough to suggest others to try it but not be surprised by anything. I do hope this was just an anomaly and the norm. The property does have potential.

    Old bathroom, but it works.

Stayed here to be close to the cruise port. South Beach in Miami Beach is a sight to behold. Crowds of people swarm the sidewalk. Hotel Ocean is in the middle of it all. This 1950's hotel is clean. The desk clerk was friendly. The rooms are large. This is not the Hilton. It is a refurbished property that some may wince at. Be warned. Atlantic Ocean views come with a giant dose of loud music that blares until the wee hours. I brought earplugs to help me sleep. Would I return? Probably not. But I'm not raving mad.

This hotel was everything I wanted for a week long getaway for my birthday. The ambiance the staff the location. The only thing I wasn't happy with was when booking I booked for a bathtub and shower. Although once I did reach my room it was certainly beautiful and huge but there was no tub. Other than that I couldn't have found a better hotel. I most certainly will be back. Oh the food.. the restaurant below had the best ahi tuna.

I stayed here with my husband for our weekend getaway in Miami. The location and price were great however we did not expect to have music playing outside our window until 5am as well as having intoxicated people pull the fire alarm in the middle of the night. There was no apology or announcement made as all of the hotel attendants were frustrated and inconvenienced in the courtyard. The best part of the hotel was the free bike rentals the hotel offers. The hotel room itself was great and luxurious. In the future, I would stay at a different location and even pay a bit more to have an uninterrupted nights sleep and better service.

We stayed 3 night in superior room reserved from booking.com I read review before travel and was shocked!! My biggest concern was included breakfast (on 1 review there was a horrible picture) and noise (someone said music played till 3 am). I called to booking to ask he quietest room. We were very very pleased. We stayed in 211. Room faced to wall but quite! All staff were very nice. Breakfast was fantastic! Set menu but really good! Music in restaurant was only till 12 and honestly I didn't hear it from my room. Room was renovated and exactly how it shows on picture. You can borrow bike for 2 hr for free, beach chair and towels for whole day for free! U can use Victor hotel pool!!

Just an example of the cleanliness level.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Today I attended a private brunch for work and I wanted to check two small bags at the front desk because I didn't want to take them into the brunch. I was told it would be five dollars for outside guests to check a bag. This is news to me. Never before have I been charged for this in the over 13 years that I've been going to this property. That isn't a luxurious experience nor is it up to standard, hotel guest or not. Service was polite outside of the charge. Food was average at best. A few hours later I attended another lunch at Bellini at the Mr. C hotel. I asked to check the same bags at their front desk. No charge. When I picked up my bags, they asked me how lunch was and if it was my first time at the property. Would I like some water to go (complimentary)? It was not my first time at Mr. C but this service is what I come to expect at a property of this nature. Not to be nickel and dimed for a basic service. This new experience paired with the fact that I was overcharged for drinks on my last visit to the standard (November) to which I called to rectify after realizing once I was home, I was told they would call me back and they never did. I'm soured on the whole property.

Fontainebleau Miami isn't just a hotel -- it's a full‑scale Miami moment. The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

We didn't even stay at the hotel, we simply had a Mother's Day brunch reservation at Hakkasan and dessert at Chez Bon Bon. What should have been a nice family outing turned into an absolute nightmare. When we went to valet to retrieve our car, the lobby was filled with angry guests sitting around waiting HOURS for their vehicles. People were openly saying they had been waiting 1-3 HOURS and some had even missed flights because valet couldn't deliver their cars. Seeing at least 50 frustrated people stranded there was complete chaos. At that point I started panicking. I had my 3 children with me, my elderly parents, and all of my baby's formula and diapers locked inside the car with no idea when we would ever get it back. Completely unacceptable for a luxury hotel that charges premium prices. It was also $58 to valet! Thank God I drive a Tesla because I opened the live camera and location tracking and immediately saw my car had been sitting in the exact same spot where I dropped it off over 2.5 hours earlier. When we walked to the vehicle ourselves, we found the inside completely ransacked. Items from my center console were thrown everywhere and the driver and passenger seats were covered in sweat. Clearly multiple employees had been sitting inside our vehicle. When my husband confronted them, they claimed they had "misplaced the key card" and were searching for it. Then when asked why the inside of the car was trashed, they actually tried to say it was already like that. Absolutely insulting. This completely destroyed any trust I had in the Fontainebleau. I don't care if valet is a "separate department" it is still YOUR property, YOUR staff, and YOUR responsibility. Guests should not have to fear waiting 1-3 hours for their cars, missing flights, or having employees rummage through their personal belongings because the hotel can't manage basic operations. I understand it was Mother's Day and maybe they were understaffed, but the complete lack of communication, organization, accountability, or even basic customer service was disgraceful. Not once did anyone proactively update guests, apologize properly, offer compensation, or even waive valet charges. For a place that markets itself as luxury, this experience was beyond embarrassing.
