The quirky and original design, with high-quality cabinetry framed in aluminum studs, features good lighting and a very comfortable, radiant-heated bathroom with orange grout between light blue tiles. Enthusiastic, very courteous staff members could at times follow through more. (Cream for the in-room Nespressso coffee had to be requested three times, and the call from the desk for an early-morning taxi to Cadorna station for the Malpensa Express failed). The internal, courtyard-facing room was quiet, a blessing considering the construction noise on the external side. For the price, however, the room is too small, accommodating not even a reading chair. (A slightly smaller bathroom would have yielded a far more comfortable room.) Also not expected was the malodorous sewer gas from the bathroom sink (also encountered at the Hotel Ripa Roma). Is that a flaw in the Italian sanitation system? And as Rebecca H. of Westchester County observed on Oct. 24, 2022, the digital thermostat seems to have a mind of its own and doesn't retain the requested temperature, so that the room was often too warm.

If you are traveling with an infant, they provide a crib, changing pad, blankets, bathing kit, and a diaper pail, which is beyond what other hotels of the similar tier provide. Usually they bring a crib and maybe a stuffed animal so a huge kudos to the Park Hyatt for that. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly although every so often you will get a receptionist who is a standoffish with an air of ennui. There is also a spa with saunas as well as a fitness room with the standard equipment including 2 treadmills, a rower, an elliptical, and 2 bikes along with complimentary still and sparkling waters (canned). From the moment we arrived, the hostess was cold, unwelcoming, and seemed genuinely uninterested in having us there. Rather than making guests feel welcome, she appeared to signal to the bar staff that there was no urgency in serving us, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Service throughout was incredibly slow. We were given the wrong type of water, and our drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive. Even more disappointing, one of the cocktails was completely undrinkable because it contained a bug. What was most surprising was the disconnect between the hotel's reputation and the actual experience. I have stayed at some of the world's finest five-star hotels, as well as much more modest properties, and have consistently received warmer, more genuine hospitality than I experienced here. Luxury hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and cared for. Instead, the atmosphere felt pretentious and exclusive without delivering the level of service that would justify it. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the lack of attentiveness, warmth, and basic hospitality was impossible to overlook. At no point did we feel valued as guests. For a brand with Bvlgari's reputation, the experience was remarkably underwhelming. There are simply too many exceptional places in Milan to spend your time and money somewhere that makes you feel like an inconvenience.

We were able to walk to major tourist sights, restaurants and boutiques. Anything that could not be accessed on foot could easily be accessed by subway, bus and tram. The hotel immediately feels luxurious from the moment you step into the lobby. All of the staff were so welcoming and immediately offered us beverages and snacks. The lobby is decorated very modern, but not stuffy. Jars of candy in the lobby gave the hotel a fun and playful vibe. Our hotel room were absolutely incredible! Our spacious, modern-style room was luxuriously decorated and included a large bedroom with desk, a sitting room, a massive closet and bathroom. Our spa-like bathroom included designer toiletries and the most heavenly smelling bath salts. The beds were so comfortable. Once I slipped into the hotel's bathrobe and slippers I was tempted to never leave our room! There is no sit-down restaurant at the hotel, but they do offer room service in the morning. Since we had an early flight we decided to take advantage of room service and enjoyed breakfast in our sitting room. Breakfast included our choice of coffee or tea, juice, eggs, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and milk, and pastries. The pastries weren't the best, but everything else was fine. If you wish to skip room service there are plenty of cheaper breakfast options near the hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Milan again I will definitely stay at the Una Maison.

My Booking: An executive level room right at 200 sq feet. Location: I preferred this location as it's close to Parque Sempioni which is fantastic for runners. It is also minutes from the Galleria, which is minutes from the Duomo. I also really like that it is 10min walk to the Cardona train station, which makes it fairly straight forward to stay here if you're flying in from MXP. It is very much a hidden side street so you'll need to use gps or be with someone who is amazing at maps. I always get lost in Milan. Service: I had a great experience though I could never really figure out how to call down to the front desk from my room. Everyone spoke great English and was super nice about helping me out with whatever was needed. Their check-out time is 10am, but they have the sense to realize that not everyone can check out at the same time and can extend within reason. The rooms: Smallish. It fit a king size bed a desk and a wardrobe for clothing. The floors are beautifully white oak style and modern. I think they should add those slippers other places have even if they use the cheaper ones, as these floors would be ideal for slippers. The Bathroom: The bathroom was clean and had a bidet. I would have preferred no bidet and more space. The shower and shower head was nice but pressure, eh as was heat level on the water (when you have less water pressure, you need more hot water to make the shower perfect IMO). I think this might be an Italian thing.
