Located just minutes from Universal, and so much more cost effective! This would definitely be a hotel you'd drive by and not be wowed by, but the interior has completely been remodeled! The lobby was getting remodeled during our stay, but the bar area had a cool vibe. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to experience the outside pool area. Our room was located in the atrium, which was super cool and old school feeling. The room was a decent size. It had a king bed and an additional living space and lots of bright light. The bed was comfortable, pillows not so much. Heads up, the parking was expensive. It's just a standard lot surrounding the building -- not gated and was $35 per night. That's common in the heart of a city but I thought was a bit steep for a basic parking lot.

Friendly staff. The interior was a mix of outdated and renovated/modern. Example: lobby and guest rooms had a modern renovation feel whereas the carpet and railing by the atrium area were old/outdated. The rooms were clean and spacious.

On staycation and happily so at Hotel Landy! Some girlfriends were in Orlando for the weekend and we holed up here. The hotel itself is very lovely. We enjoyed the pool and various amenities including the fitness room and arcade. The room itself was extremely spacious and well appointed. We loved the reusable water bottles that were provided for our stay. Also loved that there was a Keurig machine available in the room with actual mugs instead of the typical paper cups. Only issue in the room was that several of the outlets didn't work. Would have been nice if parking would have been included for guests. Seems steep to pay $35 per night when you're already paying the nightly rate. Would also be nice to include breakfast. It's an up charge. All in all, very pleasant stay and close to the parks!

On the surface, this hotel looks quite cute, but it has deep problems. After arriving at 9am (I came in on a redeye flight) I went to sleep, only to awake to no ac at 11am. After much run around, they said it was repaired and would be on before 6pm at the latest. This was at 2:30. I went to have some dinner, which was delicious, by the way. Mahi mahi tacos, but they couldn't comp it for me. I asked them to at the front desk and they said they couldn't either. At 6:45 I called a manager. He said he would see if he could move me to another property, then never called back. At 730, the ac seemed to come back on, but that was deceiving, because it was only a hot fan. There was a waterfall of water near the lobby and flooding. My room just kept getting hotter and hotter. I was accommodated in no way. Very disappointed in not only the hotel, but also the management, and lack of service. When I checked out, the front desk said they could "flip a switch without going into the room to turn on the ac" so why didn't they do that? I got no sleep at all.

Very nice location and very big place , rooms very clean and very comfortable, the only issue here is staff at check in desk they really lack of customer service, they treat you like why you here , and be careful of trying to check in before 3 pm as they don't tell you they charge u a early check in fee , they might have rooms available and they don't ask to see if you want to take those rooms , so if you had a reservation with 2 queen beds and there's a king size bed room available, they will keep you waiting on the room forever instead of giving you options to see if you take other rooms , also parking situation here is terrible , they charge you $35 a day parking fee

Really enjoyed the Hotel Landy. Huge rooms with a couch you can use as a bed and king size bed. Nice newer LED Samsung TV in room for viewing whatever one may like to consume. Ping pong tables, arcade, fitness center, outdoor pool & jacuzzi are a few amenities included. Plenty of parking, valet parking is also available. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff checking you in. Great and convent location off the highway and close to all the attractions Orlando has to offer. I would suggest this hotel if staying in the area. Reasonable pricing also!

Check-in was pretty much a joke. We tried to upgrade to a junior suite. We would have paid for the upgrade after reviewing the suites size and unique space for the kids. Front desk clerk told us he would look if they had one after he already wrote the room number down on our room key envelope so he never actually looked. Just said it wasn't available and the hotel was fully booked. They explain the $35 parking fee that you had to scan a QR code on the sign to pay could not add it to the room charge. It's like they don't own their own parking lot. Why can't this charge be in with the room charge? Gave us a room and when we got into the room there was a glass of champagne on the table. There were dirty towels on the counter in the bathroom. There was food, garbage in the garbage can and the bed had been shifted. Honestly, it looks like they gave us a room that somebody else had already checked into. A little scary to me. Then we walked back to the front desk to get a new room. 3 towels 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel was all that was in the bathroom. So only 1 person gets a wash cloth or the family has to share?? For a room with 2 Queen beds that seems weird to me At almost 9 pm I looked at the Marriot Bonvoy app and it showed I could have booked the junior suite with cash or points. So the front desk clerk saying none available without even looking was crap. Also they have rooms available so not fully booked. Massive raccoon in the parking lot was a little scary. I was unable to sleep between the running toilet and the pool music. Not sure about the ac noise as it was set to 68 but never came on It's ok. The room alarm clock which looks just like a vintage clock went off at 7:10 and we had no clue where the beeping was coming from 1 star for cleanliness as the air filters were clogged and disgusting. Didn't help our allergies at all. Also, I know it's an old hotel that they recently remodeled, but it doesn't even look like they took the wall plates off when they repainted the rooms Good things. I liked the shampoo conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion. The hot water is HOT. In room Keurig was awesome. I actually don't like Starbucks coffee which is in the lobby so I was glad to brew my own in room. I did bring my own k cups. The selection in room wasn't impressive but it would have been doable if I hadn't brought my own. And I loved the original real coffee mug over paper garbage mug

Seventeen hours at this temperature. Inside an expensive hotel room.

The air conditioning broke in the entire hotel around 3pm yesterday. Here it is, 8:30am the next morning and our room is still 77 degrees. We have complained twice to the front desk and they're pretending everything is fine. 17 hours in Orlando Florida heat in early September with no air conditioning. And we're paying top dollar for this experience. UPDATE: I'd like to say that everyone at the front desk and rooms division were very nice and pleasant. But I believe someone above made the decision to move folks to other rooms instead of being honest about the dire situation with the air conditioner. We were moved to another room, as was my wife's boss. Neither of the new rooms had air conditioning either. I moved all my and my wife's stuff from a room that was 78 degrees to a room that was 80 degrees. And sacrificed our beautiful view from the 14th floor (that they charged us extra to have) to a 4th floor view of the dumpster. (See pics below) Alex the desk clerk manager was very apologetic and professional but the decision to move guests to other hot rooms instead of being honest was horrible. My wife's company will probably never stay there again.

My room was nice, if not a bit odd. The bed was comfy. But the room seemed lacking some basic furniture. There was a huge empty space across from the couch, with just a bare wall. And there was no drawers or anyplace to put our luggage on top of or to put our clothes into - especially not for a room with 2 queen beds in it. We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .

I have stayed at many resorts in Universal and I just have some mixed feelings about this…read moreparticular one. Check in, took 30+ mins long and we checked in online, but the online check desk was closed, which seemed odd. There were tons of people that were from out of town that looked tired, especially after going through airport securities/travel from their states and looked like they just wanted to get their room and go to sleep, but it seemed that there was no urgency from staff. They didn't look short staffed, but I saw other staff standing around with no lines at their kiosk with multiple areas for them to step in at check in- Which tells me that there needs to be some cross training encouraged to help their processing. Fun Fact: I rode two rides at Universal with my fast pass faster than checking in to our room. Room was clean, view was nice. We stayed on the top floor with the view of one of the pools, which was nice but I had not so much of a good first night due to the AC in the room not working properly and I'm a hot sleeper so I did not sleep well. I did address the issue in the morning and let the staff know about my issue and that I was gonna be gone for the day and they did fix my issue right away. The food was surprisingly mediocre, and they have four different restaurants you can eat from and we went to three of them, which seems to be the same style of food just spread out. The first night I had a Smashburger it looked very delicious, but then I found myself putting on basic ingredients on my burger, salt and pepper. If I did not, it would have not had any seasoning. The second night I went to the Brazilian steak eatery and as far as a quick steak to get, it was very delicious and they serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy, which was really delicious. I would recommend eating your meals at least for dinner there if you're going to eat in the in the resort. If you're looking cocktails, they have them and they're very delicious. Prices are high, but you get a quality drink. I think I just had a bad experience. I don't feel that everybody encounters what I encountered when they visit, but I would have given a 3 star rating if it wasn't for how convenient it is to get to the park, there's a shuttle that picks you up every 10 minutes and drops you off and when you're done at the park, it picks you up and takes you right back to the hotel. Beats paying $50 a day for parking at the parks, but you still have to pay for parking with your room which is significantly less. All-In-all it was good, but not great for my experience, I will probably attend a different resort next time, but as a local in Florida, we have that choice.
