    Bed. Clean. Standard.

Its a good choice if you have a short layover by the LHR airport. I took the bus to and from the hotel. Was about a 15 min bus ride plus a 5 min walk from the bus stop to the premises.

Noisy rooms, rude staff, and not a place I wish to come back to. Our first room had a clogged shower drain and then smelled like sewage. We moved rooms and then our keys didn't work. Went down to lobby to get new keys and staff said You better not be here for a Voucher. Next day room didn't get cleaned. No breakfast the last day. Totally unorganized.

This is a very affordable hotel near Heathrow Airport. Having said that, you certainly get what you pay for (£75 per night for two adults). Pros: 1) Checking in and out is extremely efficient since you can do it online. 2) The staff at the reception desk are pleasant and helpful. They will even print out your boarding pass for you. 3) The lobby, restaurant, and lounge has a very modern and inviting decor as well as an interactive touch screen map. 4) There is transportation available to the airport terminals via bus(free, but you have to walk a couple blocks with your luggage to the bus stop), Hoppa bus (£5 per person; the bus is available every 20 minutes at the front entrance of the hotel) or taxi (£10 per ride). Cons: 1) We wanted to print out our boarding passes but had to do this in a round-a-bout way. Since there were no printers available for guests (a bit odd for an airport hotel, don't you think?), you had to use the guest computers to check in at the airline website and type in Ibis' email address so that the reception desk can print it out for you. After waiting in the queue at the reception desk, there was only one receptionist (out of three staff members) who was successful in printing out our boarding passes. 2) Our hotel room was average. The bathroom smelled like it had been used after our room had been cleaned. Although the ceiling, walls and wood closets looked like they've been replaced, the carpet was dirty, old, and worn out. There also was a scarcity of electrical outlets (I had to charge my iPhone in an awkward corner by the electric kettle and landline). The twin beds (two singles) were comfortable, but they were placed so close together that it just might have been a double bed. 3) After looking at the reviews of the hotel restaurant, I decided to walk to McDonald's (which was ten minutes away) and buy takeout. Too bad there wasn't anything else that was nearby. I didn't regret my decision either. When I returned, some greeters at the restaurant were offering complimentary drinks (mojitos?) to potential patrons. The drinks looked like the sludge in the Slurpee machines at 7 Eleven. I certainly didn't stick around to check out the food...

Clean safe easy to find . An over night in London. Nice bar / lounge .. pool table . Simple. There's food options 24/7.

We missed our connecting flight on British Airways, so they placed us at Ibis Hotel. We took the bus #56 to get to the hotel. Luckily we didn't have to pay for the bus ride since it cost 9 pound! So expensive once you convert to US dollars. The hotel was an average 3 star hotel. It was really close to the airport, but too far to do any sightseeing. Amenities included: hairdryer, coffee pot, towels, flat screen TV, soap, and shampoo. No clock in the room. Internet and unlimited movies usage in room was 9.99 pound. We opted to use free internet at the two computers near the front desk. The restaurant was not great. For dinner, we had to choose two items off a menu that British Airways created. The two items could be either a salad, main entree, or dessert. We had garden salad without any dressing. My husband had the fish and chips which wasn't bad. I had the chickpea curry with rice. The curry was not good, but I still ate it. The restaurant was understaffed so our food took a long time. The breakfast was better since there were cereal, toast, eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, etc. The typical American breakfast items. I was happy to get my cereal, hash browns, and some fruit. Yay. I would only stay here as a last resort.

Our last night in London found us staying at the Sheraton Skyline near Heathrow Airport. I chose…read morethe airport since it was in the Marriott Bonvoy network and about five minutes from the airport so we could quickly head over to check in our bags and go through security ahead of our flight the next day. Overall, we had a solid stay there. The room was the sofa and king-sized bed was lovely. We had plenty of space for our luggage. The closet space was good. The bathroom had enough space to move about and go between the sinks and shower, which had ample water pressure. The one drawback was the lack of outlets by the night tables as well as usb outlets. You had to leverage the one spot on the desk that had them. Also the lamps were not the easiest to use and gave my wife some frustration. The concierge was decent outside of not being the helpful regarding gluten-free options that were available. We figured it out but that was a bit of a challenge. The restaurants in the hotel were decent although the 1970s sports bar theme that looked straight out of Smokey and the Bandit was cringe. The food was ok. I preferred the breakfast spot that has plump sausages as that was good. We were able to take advantage of the Club Lounge while we were there. While the accommodations between the comfortable seating and buffet style options were nice (paneer, beef casserole, nachos), I found the staff hovered a bit too much around the room, so it was a little challenging to relax as much as we would prefer. Still, it is a solid stay if you need something that is close to the airport for the night.

The gym didn't have enough straps for the machines and very old. At least they did have a water refill station in there. Breakfast was included in our stay but again nothing special about it. You have to ask your waitress to get an omelette from the kitchen. They do have a cool sports bar downstairs in the lobby and location isn't bad.

We booked this hotel at short notice and were surprised at the size of the rooms here - they are a very decent size which being so close to the airport is usually quite hard to find. The rooms are also very clean and nicely laid out with a large computer desk and armchair. Bathroom is a little small but had a bath as well as a shower and a dispenser containing Imperial leather Shower Gel (no Shampoo & Conditioner though). Staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced, especially taking into consideration the location.

The buffet breakfast is okay to good, not the best I've seen in London but better than you would get at a typical US Doubletree. And the restaurant was clean, the tables being cleared frequently. On the downside, the air-conditioning in my room had little effect and since it was south facing, the room was uncomfortably warm. The toilet struggled to flush and the shower pressure is definitely low by American standards, and frankly low by modern UK hotel standards, but just about adequate. Convenient to the hotel is a Tesco express supermarket located just across the street. Unfortunately, the rooms do not have fridges, which would've been very useful as I really needed a cold drink to compensate for the lack of air-conditioning! That said, I was able to stay for £91 including breakfast, which is definitely fair value for what I received. But if they are asking more premium rates, I would suggest looking at the more modern Hilton properties nearby.

In the US, Doubletrees are known to be very upscale and employees are very polished and bend over backwards to make you feel at home. Here, it felt like management is extremely stingy and frugal. Towels are reluctantly. Can we please have more than two? Amenities like shampoo and conditioner are not replaced. But they'll give me two body washes though! During our stay, they didn't stock bar soap for the body, only facial soap. I took it as the owners being cheap and just ordering one kind of soap for their guests. They'll give you ONE cookie upon check in. (Hello, there are two of us?) I guess I'm just used to Doubletrees in California where they'll give you two every time you ask! Okay, that's fine. We don't need to eat too many cookies anyways. :P Rooms are small but that's probably a European thing. Us Americans can be spoiled with big rooms in the US. My husband's Hilton Honors status got us free breakfast in the mornings. Breakfast was good but the dining area and the lack of bussing tables was appalling. Of the 2-3 days we had breakfast, there was always about 10 tables filled with dirty dishes. The three employees we saw working just didn't seem to care. I think part of the problem is they try to clear a table and carry as many dishes as they can with their two hands. Don't they have some kind of plastic container or cart to help them clear tables like we see in other establishments? The lack of bussing tables in this dining room was totally unprofessional. The location of the hotel is pretty good. Close to the Heathrow Airport. There's a bus stop a few steps outside that will take you to the Underground (subway) system to get on the Picadilly line. There's a Domino's and a Kebab restaurant nearby. Our favorite was the Tesco Express supermarket across the street. Such a cute grocery store to stock up. Great prices too. Meh. Maybe under different management this place would be better.
