I travel often to Madrid for work and this is my go-to hotel. I love the location and the staff are…read moreso welcoming! The rooms are clean, well proportioned and comfortable. Like most European hotels, you have limited control over the thermostat. When the heat is on, you aren't able to switch to a/c. As someone who prefers a cooler room temp, this can be solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. The property has a nice gym and there is a bar/restaurant in the lobby. With the WiFi, it is a nice place to have a drink and work in the evening. NH is part of Minor hotel group, and they have a solid rewards program, particularly if you live in Europe. I have used my points to pay for drinks and snacks, and will use them one day to book a hotel when planning a European vacation. As a special touch, the staff always leaves a welcome note and a farewell note. Such a thoughtful bit of customer service!

They had six floors and only two elevators. One of the elevators was broken, so it was tough going up and down stairs. The one elevator working only holds a maximum of six people. The room was very pleasant, except it had twin beds pushed together, which was strange. The bathroom was really nice, but they need a grab bar in the shower. I loved the mirror for make up. The hairdryer was on the heavy side. They should have a newer one that is much lighter. They had slippers in the room which I loved, and also a light that you just touch the top and it gave you really good light. The breakfast was better than most. I love fruit and yogurt and some of the breads were really good. Lots to choose from. They have a small bar And we ended up having gin and tonic's 2 nights. They were made really well and we got snacks with them.. We were close to numerous restaurants and expensive shops.

Luxurious, high-end hotel with many amenities. We were welcomed with a tray of cheese, crackers,…read moresome olives and squid, and local drinks. Rooms are cleaned daily and a chocolate at your bedside at night. They provide slippers and a bathrobe too. And they give you a few beautiful, blue glass bottles of water daily! Our stay included a free breakfast buffet served from 7-11am. They had a variety of savory and sweet breakfast items. Your choice of scrambled, hard boiled, sunny side up eggs, bacon, sausages, cheeses, cured iberico ham and sausages, turkey, smoked salmon, variety of fruit, salad, cold cereal, juices, bread, some gluten free baked goods, croissants/pastries. The front desk is helpful and accommodating. We'd like to thank Carmen who has been great at recommending great dining spots (Casa Dani and Cadaques)! They also have a van outside that can drive you to nearby attractions if it's available. You can't reserve it but if it's there, the driver is at your disposal. We were able to grab the van for the Royal Palace, which would have been a 40 minute walk. The van was available around 11:30 am and noon on another day. Most other times, it's been gone. But so glad it was there on the day we needed it! Many attractions are about 20-40 minutes by walking. The hotel is close enough to tourist spots, but far enough from crowds. The area around is high-end like Beverly Hills with LV, Gucci, Cartier, etc just up the block. There is also a department store, El Corte Inglés in the same direction as well. The front desk has 10% off discount cards if you tell them you will be shopping in that department store. There are a few drawbacks. The room was tiny. Bathtub may not be comfortable for all as it was very narrow even for a normal sized person. But I think those are the only things I felt it was lacking. And maybe if you wanted to be closer to the center of town, you may not want to be this far. There are a few metro stations for your convenience if you don't like long walks. But we were fine with walking most of the time. Thankful for their services and their warm and kind hospitality. It made our trip a memorable one!

The room is very European, but tastefully updated from older styles: a slightly small bathroom with a landline, a bidet, double beds put together for a king size (but are very comfortable). For context, I booked a reservation, and cancelled the reservation in proper notice. Turns out there was an error and I had two reservations. I did my due diligence ahead of time to email and ask if there were any other reservations in my name and they said no (which I have documentation of) Yet they charged me for my stay regardless. Since charging me, they have been unresponsive despite my months and months of outreach asking for a refund/to rectify this wrongful charge. I hope no one experiences what I experienced and the best way to avoid this is by not booking with them. Don't take the risk.

Comfortable bed, two sinks and a big beautiful shower. There's even a tub in the room. The view was decent - neither good nor bad, facing the main street. The rooftop is awesome. Nice bar, solid views and a fancy pool that I imagine gets busy during peak season (more for hanging out vs swimming laps). We didn't eat here but they also serve food. Super friendly service from everyone we interacted with. Good location as well, on a main street with restaurants and shopping nearby.

Okay minus one for the extremely slow moving elevators but the room was really nice, service was excellent, and the breakfast was chefs kiss! The room was decked out in a beautiful gold with a sofa, table, and spacious bed. Amenities included WiFi, complimentary shoe cleaning, and glass bottles of water daily. The outside view was nice (top of the palace or something), bathroom was spacious with complimentary body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion. There is a coffee machine in the room as well as a small fridge with drinks and snacks priced per item. They had 2 robes in the room, velvet clothing hangers, and the softest room slippers. They have an awesome breakfast buffet, which cost 45 euros each day or about 30 euros if you pay for all days of your stay. The breakfast although stayed the same every day, were all healthy and fresh ingredients from creamy scrambled eggs, thinly sliced jamon and Manchego cheese, to fresh fruits, fresh juices, buttery croissants, fresh honey comb, pancakes, churros, and make your own omelet station. Also right across the street is the famous Prado Museum and The Cooking Clubhouse cooking class. Their service was excellent helping me load-in and load-out my luggage and there's even an indoor lounge and bar. Would come back 10/10, Salud!! :))

We upgraded our room to a balcony room which was awesome, because the building is on a corner and the balconies are wraparound so you can walk all the way around the distance of your room. The price was right and the location was within walking distance of a LOT of restaurants and a couple of nightclubs (sala clamores is one of them which I also recommend). It's also only a 20 minute walk to Calle Gran Via which is a very busy street for shopping, shows, etc. Also, there is a Madrid-Metro entry right at the Hotel's entrance so getting around longer distances is quite easy. About a 30 min train ride, if that, to and from the Airport.
