Where's the glam? I am confused. I don't see any glam. The name is completely misleading. The hotel is not glam. Our room was not glam. Both were very basic. The hotel has an odd smell when you enter. Is that asbestos?? It was a weird musty smell that isn't good at all... Still trying to figure out what that is. The beds are terribly uncomfortable. They are hard and offer no cushion. We slept like crap in this bed. The shower drains very slowly and if you aren't careful you could easily over flow the shower. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner and soap are tiny. Seriously, the smallest bar of soap I have ever seen. The air conditioner turned off by itself in the middle of the night. It just randomly shuts off. What good is that if you have to wake up every couple of hours to turn the air conditioner back on??? And you need to leave your key in the slot for the lights and air to work. So, if my husband leaves the room and takes the key, I have no lights or air. Stupidness. I am not a fan of this hotel. The only redeeming qualities are that it is right next to the train station and there's some food spots right next door. But the train station means it brings weird people and homeless looking around too. So, the area is a bit sketchy. I would not recommend for the price. There's got to be better places to stay for the price. read more

The view from the hotel was amazing. The colors of the hotel are definitely questionable, our floor was a fluorescent green which was weird. We also didn't like that the windows are open in the middle of winter but you can't close them unless you have a worker come up and close it because they take the handles off the window. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size but we aren't sure if we would stay again for the amount of money it cost us. read more

This hotel has a lot of pros and cons. First of all it is super close to Centrale FS. We came in by train late at night so that was perfect for us. An entrance to the metro is across from the hotel entrance. Speaking of entrance, it does not face the piazza as the address suggests. It's actually on the street opposite the piazza. It's a huge revolving door that moves soooo sloooowww. Check-in was quick and easy. A limited number of food items are available at a tiny bar just past the elevators. We hadn't eaten in hours and that salad with tuna was fresh and really hit the spot. The room has a huge window letting in plenty of natural light. No worries, besides sheers there are room darkening curtains. In December that huge window let in a lot of cool air. The sheers helped with that a bit. A skating rink is installed in the piazza across the street and we can easily hear the music. It was fine as they ended at a reasonable hour and in the mean time we listened to Christmas music. The shower hand held wand worked, but the rain shower head mounted on the ceiling did not. Also, the water temperature kept changing. One moment a bit too cold, next a bit too hot, then where you want it, repeat. Bidet and bidet towels in bathroom too. A fair size closet is behind a sliding door between bathroom and bed. The furnishings are metal including one stool. Bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. Put your key card in the slot by the door to turn on the electricity. Bottles of water can be purchased at the bar for three euros each. Pro tip: buy them at the grocery store for around seventy cents each. There is one in the basement of Centrale. Very convenient to trains/metro. Beds are comfortable. Linens soft and warm. Pleasant staff. read more

Hotel Sham: Would give no stars if possible. Late arrival to a super cute room turned into: non functioning A/C; told since we were only staying one night a fan was all they could do for us; asked for a new room as we were being told maintenance was coming (lie); checked in on INNside (go there); refrigerator wasn't working; no remote control battery covering for a TV that didn't work; 30 Celsius (92f) and we were not allowed a refund because it was "just not fully functioning;" no sheets for rollout bed. Just a disaster after being greeted well and shown a cute room. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK! All we asked for was AC during a heat wave. Dizgrazie! PS Simone' tried to help and was the only positive thing about the "experience." Management over-rode him, go to him first if you have problems if you insist on staying there. read more

Stayed in room 401. Pros: friendly front desk 8/10 cleanliness Two bathrooms (in the room I was in) Train station is close by Close places to walk to for food/snacks. Cons: No gym inside hotel Room seemed not 'Glam'. Vents needs to be updated/cleaned The sink/water in one of the bathrooms smelled like rotten sewage. Furniture feels cheap/outdated. Even though they tried the modern look, they failed with the way the shower runs. Be prepared for it to get the floor outside of the shower SUPER wet. The floor mat will get soaks and you'll have to use some other towels The towels are rough and smell weird. Some other good info to know: Breakfast is not included If you don't like hard beds, don't stay here. read more

Great location! Conveniently located across from the train station which worked out perfectly. Hotel Glam was a great option for our stay in Milan. Great design- ample rooms, beautiful and modern. Our room had a beautiful view and was quite larger than expected. Every night the hotel offered a buffet in the dining area at no extra charge- reservations are encouraged. Breakfast is also included and food although not exceptional was good and if it's free, even better. read more

Hotel glam is very convenient to the central train station in Milano Italy literally right across the street. The whole hotel is OK reasonably priced but the thermostat cannot be lowered below 27°C, which is extremely warm about 18°C equals roughly 70°F which is much much more comfortable and for sleeping I would prefer it be down around 60 to 65° degrees Fahrenheit. Call the front desk for Help. They said it cannot be lowered below 27°C all they could do was turn it off from the front desk. Don't stay in this hotel. It's absolutely an amazing thing that I just described. read more

If you have not tried this hotel, you are missing out. Conveniently located at the main train station with a subway entrance practically onsite. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a contemporary look to it. the rooms have all you need, they are the right size, modern bathroom, and free WiFi. There is a nice bar in the lobby as well. Finally, you cannot beat the price. read more

This hotel is located literally across the street from the Milan train station. Convenient location but, a bit shady because of all the shady characters that hang out all day at the train station. The hotel sign is a bit hidden so be sure to keep your eyes peeled when looking for it. Upon entering, it had a cool, hip vibe. I felt like I was on a model shoot and that my jeans and t shirt wasn't really cutting it. We learned that dinner and breakfast was included in the rate. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to take advantage of dinner but, we did enjoy breakfast. The hallways were funky with a pink wallpaper. The room had a pretty bad view of some construction but, the room was well designed and clean. Breakfast was a bit of a s**tshow due to the large amount of hungry people in a small area but, we enjoyed the food. Thanks Hotel Glam! read more

I really wanted to like this place but will not be recommending this hotel to my followers or clients. I arrived early and was able to check in but was told the room won't be ready until 2 and to come back to get the keys. When I go back to get the keys, I was told about the daily tax (which I knew About) and a $50 holding fee. Knowing this is normal when checking into hotels, I had No problem with the $50 hold. That was until a lady whom I just met told me not to let them charge for the hold. She said the couple who checked in before me was told that there is no holding fee. When I asked the clerk what is the standard procedure for the hold, she simply said she'll waive it. When I asked Why was I initially being charged and the previous guests weren't, she said don't worry about it because she will not charge it anymore. I said thank you, I understand that but I'd like to know how this usually works, so that I can Share this process with my travel community & clients but no solid explanation was provided other than to not worry about it. I understand that they have a right to charge for the hold, but it would have been nice to know what was the standard for one guest being charged vs others, so that I can share this information with my followers and clients when recommending hotels in Milan. This was very disappointing and I would not recommend staying here. read more

Great option for proximity to the Milan Central station and the subway. The subway line to the Cathedral is right outside the door! Breakfast offers a wide variety and excellent coffee. I stayed in the family room with teen granddaughters and it was perfect! I have also stayed here when traveling solo and felt very safe. Great rates that include half board, means that you get a huge breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet with vegetarian options. I had a window table with great view of the Milan Main Train station, an architectural beauty. Bathrooms have tub and shower combo. Lots of electrical outlets, ample closet space. Pets NOT allowed. Some will appreciate that but it is a deal breaker for the majority of my travels. Fortunately I leave my Welsh Terrier at home when I go on a solo shopping trip to Milan! read more

We chose this hotel because it was just across street from Milan Central Station. We took a train from airport from the airport and there we were right by this hotel. We also took the train from here to have a full day sight seeing in the Lake Como area. We then simply walked down to Metro to visit many sights right in the city. You can not find any hotel more convieant than Hotel Glam. We chose to have half board. The breakfast buffet was one of the very bests comparing with all the hotels I have been to all over the world. The dinner was also buffet style. It had full meal with many choices for every course. To me everything was great, except the main dish choices. They were still ok, but not great comparing with all the great meals that I have had during my three weeks in Italy this time. The service staff was great, it was almost as good as regular resturant services. I wish they have a better shower room design, the one we had just did not work well in my opinion. Also our room was facing a new hotel construction. No view for us. Since we were away all three days during day time, it was ok though. It was true there were many "shady" characters hanging out all day outside the train station. Yet, I never felt threatened by them. Besides, during my three weeks stay in Italy, I have observed that there were always some "shady" characters hanging around right outside many larger city central areas. Outside Hotel Glam is kind of normal for a big city. read more

This must be a kept secret, I randomly came across this hotel when I was booking for stay in Milano. Although it was not one of the first options when I searched for a 4-5 star hotel, it deserves the title. Clean, elegant, modern, looks good, smells good, friendly staff, convenience (located right across from Milano Centrale), cheap price. Plus: wifi works perfect, as well as cellular service. A must-book again on my next stay. read more

If location is king, this hotel is king+queen+princess+prince. It's got the best location. Right next to central station. Subway entrance is steps away. Really close to great restaurants. They include free breakfast and dinner buffet. Don't expect too much for included dinner tho. Buy why would you want to eat dinner at the hotel when there are plenty of other great restaurants around. The only thing is the carpet in the room can use some updates read more

Location was great, right across from Milano Centrale Station. The rooms were nice and included breakfast and dinner, both of which were good. But the customer service was incredible: helping on the map to show points of interest, walking/metro directions, printing train tickets, recommendation on food or wine nearby. The front desk was very, very helpful, courteous and friendly. read more
