This is a new hotel with a lot of potential. The rooms are very nice and modern. Very clean with customized soap, lotion and shampoo. There is a blow dryer in the bathroom but no shower caps or Q-tips- so bring your own. Great shower and bathtub separate. I also like that the room had a water closet. The room I had was cozy with a homey feel. A little lounge area with a record player and some records. Very cute. Good air conditioning. The lobby is lovely. The location is great with all of the main attractions within walking distance. The weak points are: No room service. They do have it I'm told but they were short staffed so no restaurant service at all for the days I was there. I was also informed that room service would only be for guests who stayed on the top floor. Huh?? Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a very nice young man. He was accommodating when I went to the room I was assigned and asked if there was a mini bar. He told me mini bars are only in another class of a room. Oh??? Ok, so I switched to that type of room. Especially if there is no restaurant or room service option- I would at the very least need a mini bar. I went across the road to a gourmet supermarket called Spar. They have everything. I stocked up my mini bar fridge and was good to go. There was a little construction going on but it stopped early so that wasn't too bad. Another noise alert is that depending on which side of the building your room is on, you could hear and feel the rumblings of the tram. All in all? I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again. read more
