He already took note of our arrival and allowed us to check into our room so we can get a few hours of sleep before our Frida kahlo museum reservation later that morning. Even better they had prepared nice welcoming gifts for the girls and had a nice fruit & dessert tray set up for us when we came back to our room later in the day. There is a passport scavenger hunt for the kids & they were rewarded with stamps and treats from the cafe and special drinks from the restaurant bar. It was also a great way to explore the property and get stamps along the way. There is a small pool, 24 hr gym, and a spa on property. Loved the courtyard so much. It's so beautiful and perfect area to start your morning with a coffee or to unwind at the end of day with meal or drink. Staff and hostess at fifty mils went above & beyond for our family and was so sweet and attentive. They even brought out extra dessert and drinks for us on the house . The hotel is located in a great neighborhood. It's within walking distance of the chapultepec park & castle. Highly recommended! Would def stay here again when we return to cdmx.

This impeccably maintained international style hotel is just what i like in a business class hotel set in the heart of an urban landscape. The room decor in the executive suite is similarly sleek, modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is huge and sumptuously appointed. The views from the 43rd floor are stunning. This hotel is walking distance close to the best museums in CDMX and is a short Uber ride to restaurants and other attractions. The breakfast buffet is huge and the food is outstanding. Service is excellent too. This hotel also features a Regency Club on the 40th floor. It features a sizable buffet at breakfast and dinner every day. There are snacks throughout the day too. If you plan to be here longer than a week pack a pair of larger size pants. You will need them by the end of your trip. Highly recommend.

Park Hyatt Residencies next door was under construction at the time, so one of the drop off areas was one-way only. Hyatt Regency Mexico City is a separate property from Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes. The former is 25 minutes away from the MEX airport. We loved the 40th floor club that gave us free breakfast every day. Food was ok, but I enjoyed the coffee and concha every morning. The fitness center on the 3rd floor was 24/7. Unfortunately the tennis and pickleball courts cost a fee to rent; the equipment also costs to rent. The pool is kinda indoor but is only open certain hours. The sauna is inside the restroom/lockers and are closed when the pool closes. They have restaurants on the lobby level, but I did not get to try them. My king room was good. The toilet flushed so vehemently. The shower had two shower heads - one was a rain shower head and one was handheld. The WiFi was good. The AC worked. Every day I heard talking and screaming from the rooms around us and their annoying children. I don't blame the hotel. I hope I can come back soon!

We were there for 3 nights to supplant another hotel. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in CDMX on approximately 30+ trips here. This includes the W (nope), Westin (uh-uh), Sheraton (chaos, if there's a demonstration - and there usually is one ongoing), even the St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott - all too stuffy. Santiago from NJ, by way of the NYU Shanghai campus, was excellent and almost everyone here speaks English perfectly. I felt like I was in NYC, except that the service was better and the staff was much more accommodating. Breakfast was included, nothing spectacular, but everything was solid, good coffee, fresh fruit, fresh pastries, good jams and yogurt. Perfect, light start to the day. The room was not big, but well laid out with every amenity, refrigerator, beverages, Nespresso machine, bottled water and a selection of assorted snacks - all complimentary (except alcohol, unnecessary with all the good bars nearby). The gym was literally situated in a single hotel room on the lower floor. It was tiny, but fully equipped for a one-person, HIIT session. The single issue was the incessant bass drone from the bar nearby. Earplugs didn't work because it wasn't possible to mask the low Hz frequency effectively. Every major museum was about a 25 minute stroll through scenic neighborhoods to get to. Some of the best restaurants (Nobu, Sylvestre) were around the corner. All in all this is probably the best place to stay in CDMX. If not for the bass from the bar, which was totally not the hotel's fault, this was probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in Mexico (no children or pets, I think, but not sure). No drunk teens shouting in the hallways - idyllic. About $500-$700/night depending on date. Totally worth it.

Although the nightly rate is on the higher end, the JW still offers a great value: included with my platinum Marriott membership, we got free breakfast, a suite upgrade, and free afternoon snack/light evening meal at Xanat Restaurant. Pros: - one of the best locations in the Polanco neighborhood, walking distance to Bosque de Chapultepec, Museo Nacional de Antropología, Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, and other attractions; upscale restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and bars (Pujol, Limantour, Tout Chocolat), and other amenities (laundromat, convenience store, etc.) Lots of trees and greenery in the area, making it a relaxing oasis in the city. We were also able to walk to the Condesa neighborhood from here. - wonderful service, from the concierge, room service, restaurant, and front desk. Friendly and welcoming. - nicely appointed rooms. Impeccably clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable beds. We were on the 19th floor with a fabulous view of the park and across the auditorium. Water constantly replenished in the room, and we even got a welcome gift with snacks, a bottle of wine, and a teddy bear for my toddler. - nice heated pool on the 7th floor, with complimentary refreshments. There is a gym on the 7th floor as well. - beautiful property on the whole. Lobby, restaurant, and common areas are meticulously maintained, with fresh flowers changed daily. Cons: - one of the more expensive options, but we've also stayed at the W Hotel next door, and the JW is a much better overall value. - the 19th floor lounge was under construction during our stay. As a consolation, we were able to take afternoon snacks at the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have access to the lounge. - while friendly, service at the restaurant can be slow, especially at breakfast. Not sure if the service or the kitchen is slow, or if they are simply understaffed. Loved our stay here and looking forward to coming back!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Misleading Room Description…read more I checked into the JW Marriott today after receiving an upgraded room explicitly identified in my confirmation as a "Lounge Access Room." I therefore reasonably expected lounge access to be included. Upon arrival, however, I was told access would cost an additional $125 per person, per day. If this fee is required, it should be clearly disclosed during booking--not revealed after check-in. Advertising and confirming the room as a "Lounge Access Room" without explaining the extra charge is misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch. The staff also failed to offer a sincere apology or make any meaningful effort to acknowledge or resolve the discrepancy. I have attached a photo of my confirmation showing the room description. I expect JW Marriott and Marriott to investigate this issue, clarify how this room category is represented, and ensure that any additional fees are disclosed upfront. Buyer beware.

But after my stay here, I can say they were absolutely right!!! This is the most perfect hotel/B&B EVER. I'm so glad I stayed here over other soulless hotels that were cheaper. From the first welcome to the last goodbye, every staff member here has made us feel so warm and cared for. Breakfast: This was my absolute favorite part -- I usually don't care for hotel breakfasts because I'm always on the go, but once I had the first bite, I moved our itinerary around so that we could get their breakfast every morning! They start around 7am with the bread and coffee, but the hot breakfasts start at 8am and end at 10am. I got to try chilaquiles, enchiladas, and enmoladas while I was here, and they really make them with heart and soul! These were the best things I ate during my trip to Mexico City! Also really loved the outside garden in the mornings with all the greenery and birds chirping. Location: in the heart of La Condesa, walking distance to Roma Norte, both neighborhoods were great for strolling through parks and art galleries. We ubered to other places further away and it was so cheap and convenient. Rooms: We stayed here for 4 nights and went to Oaxaca for 3, then back to the Red Tree House for the last night, and both rooms we had were cozy and comfy, with AC. They have great shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, amazing water pressure and temperature, everything was so clean, and I got to sit outside in the balcony and took it slow for the last morning we were there. Housekeeping was amazing, everything was perfect when we came back every night. Safety: They lock their front doors and the front gate so you need your key to get in, and there's a safe in every room. Happy Hour every night 6-8PM: This was such an unexpected bonus! I didn't even plan for us to be at the hotel during those hours because I wanted to see everything in CDMX, but it ended up raining during those hours and we went to one, and it was so much fun chitchatting with other like-minded travelers who shared what they loved about their trip -- We ended up going to a few more & got so many tips from other guests! The hotel dogs Romeo & Booz - I love them and miss them so much! Side note: I LOOOOVED all the art work and interior design and colors. Felt like I was in an art gallery but at the same time so comfortable at a friend's home. HIGHLY recommend!!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!
