Check in took forever. My fiance and I stood around for at least 15 minutes while one woman at the reception was on the phone and the other gentleman was actually helping a customer. A line started forming and we weren't helped for awhile. The room was decent but it wasn't the greatest, it just didn't seem to be worth the cost. We arrived into Barcelona late and was warmly greeted by the staff here with a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. The lady checking us in, Christina I believe, gave us helpful suggestions on places to dine and things to do within walking distance to the hotel. Located in the L'Eixample area of Barcelona, Hotel Europark is the perfect location to everything you'll want to do and see. The Metro station, shopping, and restaurants were all just steps away. Our guest room was pretty small and compact. I know it's Europe and the rooms tend to be smaller but it was a tight fit. Bathroom was a decent size though. Housekeeping kept our room sparking clean and tidy so no complaints there. The only thing I would do different next time would be to book a bigger room. A fabulous daily breakfast was included with our stay and included a variety of hot and cold items from different lunch meats and cheeses to eggs and bacon. They even had a large spread of desserts and breads in the adjoining dining room. Some of the items changed on a daily basis which was nice. There were even several buckets of champagne on ice and different juices for mimosas. To top off all they had a free mojito making class for hotel guests. What better way to try the classic Spanish drink than to make your own? Hotel Europark exceeded our expectations with customer service. Great hotel!! Beautiful terrace and great location. Rooms are big and clean! Hotel reception is nice, people were nice, and ready to fix any issues you may have. Our AC wasn't working in our room, and they quickly gave us a new room on a different floor. Had a little dish with candies in the room, chocolates on our pillow when we arrived, and robes and pool towels in our room as well. Room service available at night, which was yummy and affordable!! Highly recommend!!! Biggest plus...when we got in early from our cruise, they allowed us to safely store all our luggage in a locked room by the reception desk til our room was ready. They are pretty strict about on time check-ins, at least do not expect to get your room early. Other than that, we have been very happy with our stay here. read more

This is a great hotel located conveniently close to metro and bus routes. The rooms are spacious (for Europe) with mini-fridge and safe and a large shower. Even though my room was located directly next to the elevator I did not hear any noise from up and down traffic. Most importantly the breakfast buffet is amazing and well worth the cost. The buffet changes slightly every day and always offers eggs, meat and some type of beans or veggies. Also there is always a nice assortment of cheeses, meats and breads to make your own sandwich or to heat up a melted sandwich in the toaster oven (my favorite) . There is also fresh fruits, juices, danish, muffins and croissants. And even champagne - chilled and ready to start your day the right way. After all, it is vacation time! The only downside I found was they did not offer a service for mailing my international postcards. Other hotels did this for me and simply charged my room for the costs incurred. That would have helped and been much easier than trying to find a place to buy postage and then another place to mail. Strangely they would not mail my cards once I found postage. This was, by far, my FAVORITE hotel during our Euro trip! A fantastic boutique hotel; the contemporary decor was right up my alley. I booked through hotels.com and it was a VERY reasonable price! Other than than the fab decor, the second best part is that it's close to everything - restaurants, tourist attractions, and shopping! Everything was walking distance and if we didn't want to walk too far, we took a cab, it was dirt cheap! Rooms are really spacious and once again, I loved the decor! The bed is huge - I literally could roll on it back and forth for days. Also very comfy, including the pillows. Our other travel budds opted for 2 double beds in their room and they were also pretty big. Loved the bathroom, the hair dryer, however, wasn't the best. They don't have a clothes iron in the room - just call the front desk and order one. They are quick, they brought one up within minutes. I just now realized that we didn't get to check out their rooftop - we were just too busy and it slipped our mind. They have a pool which is small, but cute (according to the pics I saw before booking). The staff wasn't the friendliest - honestly, I think they thought we were annoying Americans - mainly, because I asked them a million questions about getting places and one day, one of the front desk clerks stared at me in distaste as I sat in the lobby and took selfies for a good 10 minutes while I waited for my travel buddies. Whatever, I could care less. All I care about is that they were pretty helpful, you don't have to be nice, just help me do what I need to do. They were competent, helped us with our handy little tourist map and gave us suggestions on the best ways to get the places we wanted to go. We walked to Casa Batlló (10 minute walk) and also to several restaurants, but we took cabs to anything that was longer than a 20 minute walk. Very easy to catch a cab on this street. And the amazing part, the cabs are impeccably clean -- God, I LOVE Barcelona! They have FREE WI-FI! No password needed! read more

We enjoyed staying here on the 9th floor with our little balcony. I included a bottle of cava and a bouquet of flowers with our reservations. Both showed up within 15 minutes of checking in. The flowers were beautiful and lasted five days! The hotel staff was extremely pleasant to deal with. The inside of room was slightly smaller than expected. It was a little difficult to move around because the bed took up most of the space in the room. I would almost sacrifice some of the balcony to open up the hotel room. The bathroom was also cramped. Even the bathroom door wouldn't open up all the way because it would hit the toilet. Breakfast was included with our reservation. The spread was decent. They had scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cheeses, breads, fruits, cereals, and yogurt. We didn't worry too much if we missed breakfast on those days we slept in. I did take advantage of our espresso maker in the room. I would suggest the same if you visit. Location is good. You can walk to the Sagrada, Rambla, Arc from the hotel and the Metro is a two minute walk. There is also a grocery store two blocks from the hotel if you forget any personal care products or if you want to buy some wine for your balcony. We brought our bathing suits but didn't use them. The pool is smaller than what I remember in the pictures. Instead of getting in the water we ordered a bottle of cava (again) from the service phone. It's a great spot to sit back and sip on some bubbly while reading a magazine or book. But the pool would be crowded if more than 6 people were in it. Last thing, if you want a change from Spanish food there is a GREAT Italian restaurant around the corner. Visit "A Gianni" for a great meal, fresh food and wonderful service. read more

What a nice hotel! We loved our stay here. We lucked out: we paid for our 6 night stay with frequent flyer miles. Ca-ching! For starters, the staff was super friendly, helpful - and their English was superb. My Spanish is meh...so I was grateful they were fluent and accommodating! Here was a nice touch: they had a few computers available (one with a printer) so you could purchase tickets for tourist sites or even check in for your flight. Loved this idea. AND they made wifi free - it was a super strong connection too. Well done. The room? Spotless and modern. And while no one really spends time watching television on vacation, we had plenty of options for English-speaking channels. It was just...nice. We had the chance to meet another hotel guest while on a tour (coincidence!) who said they served wine with breakfast (we didn't have breakfast here). Sigh...I love traveling through Europe. We did have the chance to order room service a couple times (to avoid the crazy crowds pretty much everywhere we went), and were happy with that. We stayed here for 5 days and we really like it! The room is modern design and quite spacious. The hotel is conveniently located near Passeig de Gracia station, where there are 3 major subway lines and the airport train R2 comes here as well. We walked to Sagra Familia, Las Ramblas, La Boqueria Market and Catalunya Plaza.The hotel has a tiny pool but it doesn't really do much. The terrace is a nice hangout spot though. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at Euro-Park if you are looking for a good value hotel. read more

This is the case were you wish you could've given an extra star! We had a great stay! It was my partner's birthday and I was looking for a nice hotel to celebrate it, before booking I called the hotel and asked if the have a birthday package, they didn't, but they did have the offer of a bottle of wine so I decided it will work well for us. The location is great! Few blocks from Sagrada Famila and few blocks away from placa Cataluña. The metro Is close too. We arrived early so the room wasn't ready for us,but we had a special room to keep the luggage in. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. Later, when we came back we found out they upgraded our room to make us comfortable. They also added a box of chocolates! So kind of them! I had the best opportunity to celebrate my loves birthday with a great room and great view from the porch. Other than that, the receptionists were always available for questions, the room was super clean and equipped with everything we could think of. Next time in Barcelona- only EuroPark! We stayed here while we were in Barcelona. We only paid for local taxes as I used my credit card points. First room we stayed was alright. I didn't like the floor map or the design of the room. It was on the 5th floor next to the elevator. Basically our room faced the bathroom which was a no no. When we came back to Barcelona we stayed there again and I was thinking it will be the same layout but it was way better. Barcelona was our last stop for this trip. We spent 4 nights in Rome, and 2 nights in Ibiza, and finally when we got here, we were pleased!! Nothing wrong with our accommodation in Rome or Ibiza, but EuroPark hotel is very modern. We walked in and were like, "oh wow, now this is fancy!". Amenities: there is a mini swim pool/deck area, mini fitness center, few computers for travelers without laptop and fast wifi. The room is small, but sufficient. Very clean and comfortable room with pretty huge bathroom. Our room is right next to the elevator but had no noise issue. Location wise, it is about 3/4 blocks to the Passeig da gracia train station and Passeig da gracia street and the beautiful Casa Batllo. It is actually in between Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia, so again, very convenient. Not too far of a walk to Las Ramblas either. If you stay here, try to take the train from airport to the hotel, cost you 3.6euro each way and brings you to the Passeig da gracia train station and you can walk to the hotel (about 5mins). read more

Hotel Europark was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Barcelona for business or vacation. Check in was a breeze, they also had the best wifi connection I had in all of Barcelona, whether I was in my room or the lobby. Reception was always helpful and extremely courteous. The room itself was great and very modern, the bed was a little firmer than what I am used to but I actually slept fine on it. The housekeeping staff seemed to clean the room just about every day. At the end of February 2015 I paid about $120 a night for a superior room, it had a great balcony you could smoke on and a king sized bed. Don't get me wrong, this isn't the Mandarin Oriental but for the price this is for sure a 5 star establishment. An odd feature was that you could turn on the TV and sound from the restroom, I would have preferred something more traditional like ventilation. The location is also very central to all the locations and transportation but is about 3 - 4 blocks off of some of the main strips so you get some peace and quiet here as well. Great coffee shop called Molika is also about 4 blocks away too. read more

I'm really glad I found this hotel. I searched through hotels reviewed by Yelpers and stumbled over this jewel located very centrally in Barcelona town. It's easily accessible from the airport and well situated to walk to all the major sites. And if you don't want to walk, just jump on the metro and go anywhere you like. We took the A2 aeroporto bus from terminal T2 (A/B/C) to P. Catalonya in the middle of town. Then walked about 15min to the hotel. You can also take a taxi or the underground from there. It's the place where all the shopping starts, so don't be distracted too much. :-) Anyway, we arrived at the hotel and got informed that check in is only from 15.00. Until then, we could leave our luggage in their locked room beside the reception. The Sagrada Familia cathedral is only a 7min walk from the hotel. The Ramblas is about 15-20 min walk. Metro stop Girona nearby. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had lots of questions about the area and where to go. They kept their patience with us and provided us with lots of useful information. We also could book part of the tourist hop on and off bus with them and got a discount. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a balcony with a view towards the hills. The decor is black and white and looks very tasteful. Besides a kettle we also got our own nespresso machine. The shower is fantastic! On the 8th floor there is a communal area where you can sit outside in the summer and even enjoy a swim in their outdoor swimming pool. On the first floor is the restaurant and bar. It's also the breakfast room. Breakfast can be included in the overall hotel prize, if you chose to. There is plenty of hot and cold breakfast choice for the hungry traveler, English to Continental. I can't deny that the hotel is on a busy road and can recommend to get a room further up, as well as to the back. However, everywhere in Barcelona it seems busy and heaving with people. Just imagine all the inhabitants living there being confronted by the street noise every day. Luckily the hotel has double glazing. Our window was open, and I still slept like a baby. If you are used to silence then I can recommend you look for somewhere outside of town or in a more residential area without tourist attractions. If you want a hotel in the middle of town with good connections to places, clean and friendly, then this is the place for you! Enjoy! read more

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Hotel Europark! We traveled to a couple of cities in Spain and my boyfriend and I agreed Hotel Europark was our favorite. Every encounter we had with the staff, they were all very friendly, helpful, and communication was not an issue. Upon arriving, our room was not ready so they took our luggage, kept it safe, and immediately helped us get a cab to La Sagrada Familia (it is walking distance but we were in a rush to make it to a pre-booked tour...so touristy *rolls eyes* I know). The room exceeded our expectations and we were sent a bottle of champagne- such a pleasant surprise! The bed was super comfy. The room was clean and sleek. Shower was amazing- easy to use, great water pressure, all that good stuff. We got fresh towels daily. Our rooftop that sat 2 overlooked the city/part of the rooftop pool. We were fortunate enough to spend a few hours laying out at the rooftop pool. So chic with the vine covered walls! This location is perfect. Metro is so close and easy to use. Highly recommend booking this hotel if you are staying in Barcelona! Would go back in a heart beat! read more

The hotel has a good location as others note and is a close walk to the metro. The rooms are clean but lack general maintenance (shower shelf falling off; outlets not working; door does not shut unless slammed hard). The walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs unless you want to be part of your neighbor's conversations. There are not a lot of restaurant choices around within walking distance. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and computer/printing access. They have a give/take bookshelf near the restaurant. I found it odd that the day before I checked out all of my toiletries were taken away. They give you a box of items, but remove it from your room prior to your last night. Seems a bit cheap to do, especially since I actually needed the shampoo and they threw away my own toiletries that were in the shower. The reason for two stars vs. three is the front desk staff. Perhaps it is because I was a single female traveler, but I found them incredibly rude and unhelpful in all aspects. Twice I stood waiting to ask a question, and when a group of men walked up after me they were helped first. Basic restaurant suggestions or Barcelona questions were treated with disdain and snarky, short answers. I am fluent in Spanish (which a few of them knew) but the ones that did not know I overheard making not so nice remarks about guests behind the curtain near the front desk. Very disappointing and for that reason alone I would not recommend this hotel unless you are in a group and have ear plugs. read more

After way too much hemming and hawing over where to stay in Barcelona, we ultimately decided to book a superior room at the Hotel Europark. Upon arrival, we wondered if we were a little too off the beaten path. After several days among the masses on Passeig de Gracia, we realized that our short walk into a less touristy part of the neighborhood was well worth it. The Europark is an oasis of thoughtful touches from free, reliable wifi to a pretty tasty breakfast (we booked via Expedia, did not select the breakfast rate, but they assured us that it came with our reservation - sweet!), friendly front desk staff to plentiful toiletries and towels. Sure, the bed was on the firm side, but the pros far outweighed the cons. We could easily walk to loads of shops, restaurants, and Gaudi gems (Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, and Sagrada Familia in 10 minutes or less). Highly recommended! read more

I was very pleased with the Europark. It was very clean and contemporary. It had all the amenities of an American hotel with little European touches. When you are walking all day, it is nice to come back to shower with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and robes and a comfortable bed. The roof deck and pool are nice and there is a great view of the city. It was within walking distance to some great sights (Sagrada Familia) and food. Breakfast was fresh and yummy every day, and one day I wasn't feeling well and we ate lunch in the restaurant and it was delicious as well. Move over four seasons! After leaving an AirBnB and having to find a last minute hotel, I lucked up and checked into the Europark. This hotel is SO chic. English is spoken. The location is within 3 miles of anywhere you want to go, with several dining options in walking distance. The space was decent for a European hotel and the decor was so well done. At only 81€/night, this was a steal. The bathroom had lots of counter space. Staff was amazing, knowledgeable, and was impressively quick when I requested a sewing kit. We're talking 2 minutes tops. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Barcelona. read more

It's located extremely close to several metro stops that will take you anywhere you need to go in the city. However, it's also a very short walk to La Sagrada Familia and Gaudi's famous Casa Batllo. And dangerously close to many adorable and delicious cafés and street markets. The front desk staff, while helpful and polite, are not OVERLY accommodating. They will give you just the information you are asking for and not much further. Not sure if this is a cultural difference or a Europark thing. My best friend and I booked this hotel back in March and received a confirmation about our reservation. We got there the other day and we are not in their system and the hotel was over booked. They did correct the mistake within 20 minutes and sent a complimentary cab to take us down to their sister hotel (see review on that) with a hotel room upgrade. This was in a great location and the front desk was happy to help us find our way around. Upon hearing that we were in the room, the housekeeper quickly left without stating a purpose or reason. This seemed suspicious to us. - Cleaning of the room seemed incomplete. Trash around the room was not removed (we left a few empty water bottles by the garbage that were never collected). Empty shampoo bottles were left there and not replaced... we had 6-7 empty shampoo bottles in the shower by the time we left. They failed to replace some towels. - Shampoo was like water, poor quality. - Street noise was an issue, we ended up using ear plugs. Patio door was broken and would not close entirely. We found the chair had been pushed up against the door to keep it closed. - Front desk was not so helpful at other times (we asked for a local bar/restaurant to watch the World Cup and were directed to a small bar that was closed and difficult to find). read more

One of my new favorite hotels! I stayed 6 nights in the Penthouse Barcelona (expensive but well worth the money, and used a discount code found online) and it was first-class from start to finish. There are only 2 penthouse rooms, both on the 10th floor, so it's very quiet except for street noise which I only heard out on the private balcony. Spacious suite (bedroom + living room) with mid-size refrigerator (not full size, but larger than the usual hotel minibar) and large bathroom with separate rain shower plus shower over tub. Fast, reliable WiFi, big screen TV's (English language channels - CNN, CNBC and BBC World) and excellent lighting in both rooms. Good choice of room service items at very reasonable prices (nothing over 8 EUR), quick delivery and fresh, tasty food. Nice breakfast buffet with cold/hot foods, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, pastries, juices, coffee/teas - lots of comfortable seating and very attentive servers as well. The service was exceptional from the front desk to housekeeping to room service, everyone was helpful and pleasant. Mercadona supermarket 2 blocks away and a Caprabo market (household goods and personal items on street level, food on lower level) right down the street at Carrer d' Arago 313-317. I highly recommend Hotel Europark and will definitely stay there again! read more

We loved this hotel! It was in a great location and only a few minutes walking distance to the "old city" and to the Sagrada Familia. We were also close to a lot of great cafes and restaurants, and the people at the front desk provided us with some excellent recommendations of places to try. We were also referred to a restaurant on the beach, and the front desk helped guide us to the nearest metro to help us save money and avoid taking a cab to/from the location. Room was a great size, bathroom was clean and also a good size, and king size bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back again! read more
