Thankfully Wi-Fi was free in this hotel and the first bottle of water was free and for that I am grateful. Location : Getting here was simple from the airport (6.80€) - Train to the main train station and Tram 17 to SihlCity. From SihlCity the hotel was a 5 minute walk. I heard from a colleague that he paid 80€ for a taxi to the hotel from the Airport.
Reception & Guest Services : The reception is on a floor above the entrance. The reception was quick to check me in and my room was 2 twin beds...I asked if I could get a single bed and they weren't able to accomodate me.
Room : The room was very old and outdated...the bathroom had a tub with a shower curtain (I am still shocked that I didn't have a shower stall) and my bathroom door did not close properly. There were no USB outlets to charge my devices which in this day and age is a huge negative. Also the airconditioning was extremely iffy - I woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat.
On the positive side : the view outside was gorgeously green, the nespresso machine helped give me a huge caffeine jolt -- so needed to counter the jetlag and I loved the toiletry (jasmine, rose and neroli - be still my heart), breakfast was included in my package and was definitely a highlight and the hotel was walking distance from the Meta offices read more
