My boyfriend and I just had a wonderful 7 day stay at this hotel and absolutely loved it.
The hotel arranged for a van to pick us up from FCO and the driver was punctual and called me as soon as the plane landed to let me know he was waiting at the terminal exit. After we grabbed our luggage, we walked out and saw my name on a piece of paper and the driver helped us with our luggage and walked us to the van, then drove us to the hotel.
This is a beautiful new hotel that is on the 4th floor of a gorgeous building. When we arrived the hostess met us downstairs and helped us with our luggage up about 5 steps and then showed us where the small elevator was. She spoke great English. The elevator could probably fit only two people without luggage comfortably so we had to take multiple trips.
When we got to the 4th floor, the hostess showed us where the keypad is. You get a specific code to get into the building, into the door of the hotel, and into your room. No room key/card is provided.
Then she showed us to our Junior Suite that comes with kitchenette. This was perfect for our 7 day stay. The bathroom also comes with a heater for the room/towels which is great for the winter. Has shampoo/conditioner/body wash and hand soap at the sink with ample towels, slippers, and a bar of soap.
The kitchenette came with a microwave, a Nepresso machine with several pods, an electric kettle with some tea options, and a small electric stove. The cabinets have plates, silverware, and extra tea/coffee cups.
There is a sheet with multiple breakfast choices that you leave outside of your door before midnight along with your choice of delivery between 8 am and 10 am. Every morning a breakfast cart of goodies was delivered to our room at our chosen time and we ate it at the table by the giant window. It was amazing having a cappuccino and croissants with fruits while watching people go about their day.
This hotel is conveniently located. Just a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum, 10 minutes from the Trevi fountain, 15 minutes from the Pantheon. The only time we got a ride to a site was to the Vatican museum which just below an hour walk away.
It's also just a few feet from numerous food spots. There's a quick pizzeria and a bakery just next door as well as a Chinese restaurant on the same street. There's a Tigre supermarket about a 5 minute walk away. About 10 minute walk to the Termini station.
The only problem we had was that we also arranged for a van to take us back to FCO at the end of our stay and he never showed up. There isn't always someone at the front desk so I sent them an email and they never responded. So we used Uber which was $30 more.
But other than the end it was a great stay. Just be mindful of your transportation as the Freenow app has a tendency to cancel about half of the time depending on the day/time and Uber seemed to only find drivers if you choose UberBlack and UberXL. read more
