The one thing that stuck out very positive was the personnel. We've got an amazingly friendly and advanced service throughout our complete visit and from all staff members we were in contact with. The first time I was in a four-person room, and it seemed a bit cramped, but the second time I was in a two-person room, and the room looked quite spacious with the bunk beds, little table with two chairs, sink, and plenty of storage space. It's a 20-minute walk or a CHF 15 taxi ride from the train station. Fairly quiet surroundings, as it's right next to the ski slope, but the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear rowdy people on the floor. Simple yet ample buffet breakfast of multiple kinds of bread, cereal, hot and cold drinks, meats, cheese, and yogurt. Dinner was Riz Casimir, salad, creamy pea soup, bread, water, and some kind of berry pudding for dessert. There's a bar in the hostel and plenty of comfy sofas for lounging around and watching tv. I paid CHF 215 for 2 nights in a 2-bed room + breakfast & dinner including a ski ticket for 2 days. I would say it's a pretty good deal, as this place is quite close to the ski run #15, too.

We ended up paying CHF 145 per person, per night for accommodations, breakfast and dinner and ski lift passes. That's an amazing deal, especially in an expensive country like Switzerland. The room that we got was spartan but perfectly clean and comfortable. There was a shared bathroom that again was very clean. The included meals were fine and as someone who's accustomed to inedible hotel breakfasts in the US I was impressed that a low-cost hostel would have a decent meal in the morning. The only annoyance that I could think of was that it was a pretty significant uphill walk from the train station (we ended up paying for a taxi since we were lugging boots and skis) but on the whole this was a great find.

Opening the windows was the only option, but then you have to consider the traffic - earplugs are recommended. * Various luminous elements in the room, so a sleep mask is certainly useful. It would be handy if these luminous elements could somehow be darkened. Wellness facilities are available but limited. A friend of us stayed in a standard room which has everything necessary but a very small shower (70 cm by 70 cm).

It was a bit confusing at first, and I actually ended up going the wrong way. But it became a happy accident because I discovered the Hörnli Express, which was a long gondola ride that I could use to go on a long blue run #5 going down. It became my favorite run to practice snowboarding on. I like how there are a lot of chair lift and gondola options for T-bar adverse users like me. There are also several snow parks and good sledding options. I also saw a lot of hikers on the mountain. So fun for all!

The lifts operate smoothly with minimal interruption, and they're fast enough that the line never takes too long. Plenty of restaurants up on the slopes too. Cons: Quite expensive. Pretty sure this is one of the most expensive ski passes you can buy in Switzerland, especially considering the fact that these slopes don't really connect to anything else. I know my brother has managed to get to another area with a professional guide, going through a lot of off-slope areas, but the Arosa area is definitely not as well-connected as other ski resorts. in the region.

The staff was very nice, from reception to breakfast. We also got upgraded from one family room to two double rooms which was nice. The breakfast buffet here is amazing (It would even be for a 4 Star Hotel). There's different types of eggs, bread, charcutterie, cereals worh amazong add ons, fresh fruit, very high quality tea and so on. They also offer lunch and dinner but we wheren't there to try that. Now to the only big problem, the heating. We where here in December but it wasn't all that cold. Still the room never git nice and warm. And the bathroom was even worse. Since it's completely covered in stone it is really cold. The stone was so cold to the touch and emitted so much cold into the room. Walking barefoot almost felt like walking on snow. Using to toilette was also a cold business. Still I would recommend staying here since it's still amazing.

Perhaps a once in a life time I have been lucky enough to be there twice once this July and once again 30 yrs ago to ski.. Summertime is quiet with a hushed elegance. Every piece of furniture and artifact resonates presence.And the modernization of the spa and fitness area were spectacular. The staff all live on site which shows their dedication to the resort and your service. They painstakingly memorize your whims and preferences. which sets this and other leading hotels of the world apart... Its more than 5 stars its a memory to relive again and in any shape and form ... another 30. yrs from hence OR... leave provisions in the Will....
