The commode and sink were in one room and the shower in another. The shower was quite roomy and tall enough, which sometimes can be a problem for me in old buildings. The common areas and stairway were very, very ornate and too cool. We just loved this place. It had a nice courtyard for the breakfast, which was a very nice breakfast. The front of the hotel facing the beach was also a restaurant and was where the breakfast was served. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was parking available at €26 per day at their sister hotel, the dolphin. It was very tight getting my Volvo SUV in there that I'd rented. This was just a very cool place to stay!

The bathrooms have great water pressure, plenty of hot water, and a bidet. We booked the family suite (I think there are only 3 of them) for our family (2 adults, 15 yo and 19 yo) and didn't feel cramped. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach or old town, and not so close to the bars that noise is a problem. Staff was both pleasant and helpful. The rooftop pool and bar is a nice retreat from the crowds and offers sweeping views of Tossa de Mar. Finally, the breakfast buffet is elegant and delicious, offering fresh eggs, waffles, smoked salmon, croissants, Nespresso machine, etc. If we ever return to Tossa we'd definitely stay at Hotel Delfin.

Originally built in 1962, the hotel has a classic mid-century vibe that I absolutely loved. While some parts may have been updated or added later, the whole property is impeccably maintained--it feels both timeless and well cared for. The location is unbeatable: right across the street from Mar Menuda (beach), with commanding views of the bay, and just a short walk to the town's main beach. It's also an easy, scenic stroll into town for exploring, shopping, dining, and drinks. Whether you're looking to relax or wander, it's the perfect base. My room was fantastic--super clean, with a private balcony and an unforgettable view. Housekeeping was excellent. The A/C wasn't icy cold, but it was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Service-wise, the front desk staff felt a bit reserved--not particularly warm or welcoming, which stood out in contrast to the rest of the experience. However, the bellhop was excellent--friendly, helpful, and full of good energy. One of the highlights of my stay was the buffet breakfast--plentiful, fresh, and served in a beautiful open-air space overlooking the sea. Starting the day with that view was a true treat. All in all, Gran Hotel Reymar combines old-school charm, unbeatable views, and top-notch cleanliness--a rare find. I absolutely loved my stay and would happily return. Note: I did not use the spa. I did drive from Barcelona, so the rental car was garaged by the bellman, never saw it for 3 days, then it reappeared when it was time to depart. I think it was $20 Euro per night - seemed fair as I didn't have to worry about the car. A solid 5 stars from me!

It was 4 pm and I was still waiting in the lobby. Full cloths, no water offered, no rope...not a professional place at all! 4:06pm I go in, take my cloths out, get in bed and the therapist started the massage until 4:16pm I thought ... if She started late, she will finish late. BUT NO!!! I was supposed to get 55 min of therapeutic massage, this was not the case, service that was rushed and not complete. And I explain this to the receptionist, showed her that I was back in the reception all dress up again at 4:58pm... She says "you can come back later for extra 10 mins, or you can get the 25% discount" I did not wanted to argue do I accepted the 25% off. The day I check out they only took 5 euros off for almost 20 mins of a massage I did not get. Thankfully the manager Ma. Carmen after I explain the situation was nice enough to honor the 25% discount. I was very disappointed from the girls that work in the spa. They should hire responsible staff, not young girls that don't respect customer's time, and show up late to work. Thank you Mrs. Ma Carmen for your professionalism!

The activities are outstanding there is a swimming pool, spa, hot tub, tennis court, and a gym, these are all very fun and easy to access most being next to a private beach owned by the hotel which looks beautiful even though being mostly small stone instead of sand. The beach also has an amazing sea with huge waves if you like to surf. Not far from the hotel is an amazing city with a lot of shops and restaurants to choose from there are also a lot of other beaches in the area. Being near Barcelona there are a large amount of things to do in the day.
