Location, location, location. Of all the towns we visited in Costa Brava, Begur was our hands down favorite. Located on a hill with views to the sea, the town has old buildings, winding streets, the old church and the mandatory castle -:)
The town has lots of good dinning and shopping options (Marcy is a professional and she says the shops are very good). The hotel is just off the square so you can walk every where in town. The hotel has 12 rooms.
Our room was nicely decorated and sized for 2. I really liked the black out metal shades (push a button and they slide down).
Before you book a room, note that the staff speaks limited English. Unless you speak Spanish, you will need to take the lead on planing activities and where to go to dinner. We enjoyed doing that our selves (we chatted with locals and fellow tourists for recommendations).
The hiking it great near by and of course the many beaches - enjoy, we did! read more
