I had a great stay at this hotel earlier this month! It's a super cute little boutique hotel right near the Sorbonne.
The location made it really easy to walk everywhere. Notre Dame, the Luxembourg Gardens, a stroll along the Seine - all were easily within walking distance. There's also a Velib station just outside the hotel, and the Maubert-Mutualite metro stop is probably about a five minute walk. There's also a number of cafes on the street.
Our room was tiny (compared to American hotels), as most hotels in Paris are, but it was absolutely charming. Lovely detailing on the ceiling and the door, a Juliet balcony that was perfect for people-watching - I loved it! The walls were a bit thin though, and we had a neighbor for a few days that was a snorer :)
One issue we had was with breakfast charges. No one told us that breakfast was not included with our reservation (apparently it is included for some people but not others - it depends what company/site you make your reservation with), so when we checked out we were surprised that we were charged 12 euros/day each for it. There are no signs anywhere either that note that there's a charge for it, and it's a simple continental breakfast. I never would have eaten there if I knew I was being charged for it, as I usually just got a croissant and I could have grabbed one from a bakery on the street for much cheaper. They were nice enough to discount the charge for us, but, make sure you ask when you check in if you'll be charged or not!
The people working at the front desk were always friendly, and they spoke fluent English.
I couldn't really get the wifi to work in our room, but my boyfriend was usually able to get it to work. Also, the rooms have hair dryers. read more
