The location is easy to find and conveniently located. The Metro and bus lines to tourist sights are close while the walking distances to the same sights is short. The multilingual staff works hard to help us tourists with suggestions and directions. Marc at the front desk helped us several times. His humor and welcoming smile remains with us still. They have rooms located in the basement level available for meetings. The breakfast service is also located there. The complete breakfast is wonderful. Lots of pastries to choose from, different meats, of course, ham, cheeses, dry cereals, milk, different coffees, teas, breads, fresh fruit, and the best fried eggs we've had. The food staff kept everything replenished while making sure tables were ready for everyone.
While we were there, electricians replaced several of the lights in the hall outside our room, while another group of construction workers remodeled the room next to ours. During this time we were able to nap without being disturbed. What considerate workers. There is a small "swimming" pool and deck on the second floor for relaxation. Four blocks away there is a laundromat with a clean bar across its street.
Of concern to some, is the underground trains that operate until late at night. After all, the Hotel is conveniently located to a station. We heard them in our room, but told ourselves that it was just the city breathing. Others we spoke to, moved to higher floors where the rumbling was diminished. Another problem is the slippery tub. There wasn't any grab bars or mat, so we needed to be careful.
Tip -The higher floors are quieter and the breakfast is worth the cost. read more
