Venice was my last stop on my first big long vacation, so I wanted to upgrade to a nice comfortable room to refresh & relax before my long trip home. The hotel rates itself well & the pictures looked nice enough.
The shower has a toilet in it. See pic.
Maybe in cheap mini motels, or efficient for someone w a physical disability, or a bathroom in a motor home. Not for a 150€/ night hotel.
I tried to be ok with it but I wasn't. I asked if I could get a room that didn't have a toilet in the shower, since none of the photos or descriptions online showed such a thing. I was told I could use a different room one night & pay 50€ more for it, then go back to the other room the next day because they had more people coming in.
Wow. I guess it doesn't matter that a customer who booked 6 months ago an upgraded room is here right now and not okay with an unexpected toilet in the shower. But I wanted to take a good shower & feel clean before my last day in Italy & embarking on a 15 hour flight, so I paid 50€ to take a shower without a toilet inside it.
Glad I didn't plan to sleep in this horrible room the two days I had it booked.
The air conditioner in the bed area (can't even call the small space a room) does turn off, but condensation drips from it over the bed, which I had to wipe off to prevent it from dropping on my luggage & things.
I'd hate to see the room I upgraded from. Maybe you take a bath inside the toilet.
The hot breakfast was cold, not hot. Cold watery scrambled eggs, cold dry crumbling pancakes.
I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the front desk people were all nice, despite the very drastic difference of their rooms online versus in person.
I wish I had a nice memory of my last couple of days in Italy. I will obviously not be coming here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more
