3.5-4/5, location is super close to the train station and a 15-20 minute drive from the airport. Good walk to the Venice sites and viewpoints. Service is ok, and needs more communication, it could be a culture difference. They do offer breakfast for 20 Euros. Our room AC did not work, the lights were a bit weird as the bathroom window reflects to the bedroom. Bed was comfortable.

Check in was easy & efficient. We paid for breakfast daily & were given a map. Upon check in we were told that there were no amenities here. We notified the front desk the evening before that we needed a porter called to assist with our luggage. Check out was easy & efficient as well. Our deluxe room was about 200 square feet, the garden view on 2 was a wall. It felt like a dorm room with particle board scuffed minimal furniture. The tiny fridge holds 2 bottles of water. The bathroom was very tight. Looking at a map of the hotel, room 223 is one of the smallest. Our room was quiet, lighting was good and the air conditioner cooled minimally. There was no carpeting, we heard luggage rolling over head and in the hallway during the night as well as early mornings. I appreciated the light up mirror & small magnifying mirror. The mattress sagged on the sides, I woke up in excruciating back pain at 2am & in the mornings. I needed Tylenol daily. The hotel was a :15 walk from the station up & down steps & over a foot bridge. We were near the bus depot. Location was convenient to the main Roma water taxi stops . Breakfast was well laid out & staffed. Pastries were fresh, frittata choices, cheese, meats & yogurts were good. There is an extra fee for fresh orange juice and eggs prepared to order. I appreciated the cappuccino machine, coffee was complimentary in the morning. We spent 150 euros for breakfast during our stay. We could have done better next door, and there was a supermarket next to the train station. When asked staff was efficient. A lot of basics weren't provided. We had to ask for a map, washcloths, pen & paper, laundry bag, take away cup .... A NCL rep was in the lobby 3 mornings helping her cruisers with transportation, transfers & tours.

    - Locale Destination - It can't be better than this! Right in front of bus station literally (taking you to the airport etc.!) and nearby train station. Yes, it's the edge of Venice but it's super convenient from airport and train trips to somewhere else when you have tons of stuff. It'd be bad if you stayed in the middle of tourism and had to carry your luggage via stairs and all. Ambiance: very small, but simple, modern, adequate. Unlike other Marriott hotels, they don't offer water at the lobby. Amenities: nice showers, safe, TV, fridge. Soft bed. Balcony had a canal view but no screen - watch out for mosquitoes !!! Breakfast: it really looked good - you got to pay. But if you want more traditional breakfast like eggs, it might be a good option. Really good bakeries and cafes nearby are open early, just FYI. Service: friendly Parking: not a good place to drive. So I don't know. - Conqueror's Deduction - Great location, cool & convenient hotel.

Location: The location is a 30 minute walk to the St. Mark's Square. Room: The room was clean nicely everyday. It was replaced with new shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion everyday. Air conditioner: Due the fact they had central air conditioner in Venice, the room was hot at night. Overall: I enjoyed the hotel but the lack of air conditioner made sleep at night miserable.

This is an excellent hotel option in pricey and crowded Venice. New in 2018, this Marriott-branded option is modern and extremely convenient. With an entrance on Piazzale Roma, you just can't beat this location. It's just a few steps from the ATVO express bus to the airport, and nearly adjacent to the people mover for the Venice cruise terminals. And yet, the rooms face away from the busy plaza, either into a pleasant courtyard or a canal. The queen rooms are your typical snug European size, but are clean and modern. Be aware, though that the bathrooms are pretty petite. Given the size constraints, I don't know why the bothered that stick a bidet into that tiny space. Room rates typically include breakfast, which included an excellent spread of coffee, fruit, pastries and a few hot items.

The perfect location to visit Venice and access the cruise terminal or the sites of Venice.

Walking distance from everything you want in Venice. They gave us a free bottle of Bellini when we checked in. Great breakfast buffet right on the water, that was included with our room for being Marriott elite members. This has to be one of the nicest best hotels in Venice. The only somewhat downside is that because this is such a nice hotel, room service and the food options at the hotel are completely overpriced. But that's the case almost everything in Venice from what we saw. If there was some more reasonable food and beverage options at this hotel i would have given it 5 stars

Coffee and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were also waiting for us. The view is really, truly right on the canal. It's fantastic but surprisingly quiet at night, likely due to the excellent windows We took the water taxi to the San Marco Square then walked back and it was about a 30 minute walk with beautiful shops and restaurants almost the entire way. At the time I was Starwood Platinum, and I booked a King room with a view of the canal. As we checked in - after the train ride from Milan, the long water Vaporetto ride, and the cold walk from the square - the staff was quite friendly as they informed us ... I had been upgraded to a suite with a terrace on the top floor! Right across the canal from the room was the Basilica, with the Lagoon behind it and Lido off in the distance. The furnature was pure classical period style and the terrace was larger than my next room in Munich. Unfortunately it was February so the Terrace was of little use and some of the hotel facilities were not open. But it was fabulous anyway. Now, my stay may not be typical, not everyone gets upgraded to a $2,500/night hotel room. The location is great - easy walking to just about any part of Venezia. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not sure about wifi and connectivity - when we were in the room we weren't surfing the internet.
