We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel until the last part of our trip when we began noticing that…read moreitems from our room were missing. On Friday, 11/08/25, we realized that a small bag containing only our receipts, which had been sitting on the dresser by the mirror, was gone. Since it was only receipts, we did not think much of it at the time. The next day, Saturday, 11/09/25, the jewelry and gifts we had purchased in Murano also went missing. These included a thank you gift for my sister (red Murano glass earrings), a bracelet and earrings for our daughter, and a Murano glass bottle opener. All of the items were kept together in their jewelry boxes in a plastic bag on the dresser in front of the mirror. Altogether, the value was about €80. We discovered the items were missing on Sunday while packing and doing laundry and immediately reported it to the front desk on 11/09/25. We were told that both the front desk manager and general manager were off that day. Staff said they spoke with the cleaner assigned to our room, who denied taking anything. Since there are no cameras inside rooms, there was unfortunately no way for us or the hotel to verify what happened. When we checked out on Monday, 11/10/25, we spoke with the front desk manager. He was polite, apologetic, and tried to help. He refunded us $10 for the laundry coins we had purchased, but that did not come close to the value of the missing items. He suggested that perhaps the items had been mixed in with the blankets and thrown away accidentally, but we explained that everything had been sitting on the dresser, not in the bedding, and the items were heavy and in boxes. After returning home, I waited about a month to see if management would follow up or offer any additional resolution, but I never heard back. I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but this was very disheartening, especially because we traveled to Venice for our wedding anniversary and had an otherwise wonderful stay. Unfortunately, this situation left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a perfect trip.

When we arrived, we were shown to the room immediately after a brief introduction to the hotel and city. We were offered any advice we needed as well as access to concierge services gratis. The staff was welcoming and friendly as well. It's very comfortable. The room decor was elegant and the bed was wonderful after a long trip. Coffee and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were also waiting for us. The view is really, truly right on the canal. It's fantastic but surprisingly quiet at night, likely due to the excellent windows We took the water taxi to the San Marco Square then walked back and it was about a 30 minute walk with beautiful shops and restaurants almost the entire way. Final note, the breakfast was a very good value with a diverse selection and excellent coffee. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

I very much want to give this hotel a higher rating, but I can't. The good: it's clean, modern,…read moreand in a nice area close to the rail station. The deal killer: it's march, and the weather is warming up. I couldn't get the A/C / thermostat to turn on, so I asked the front desk. Turns out that the heat has been turned off for the season, and A/C has yet to be turned on....so there is no thermostat control. The only way to control the temp is to open the window. My room was 25c with the window closed. However, the road below the hotel is quite noisy. There's also road construction that is not only loud, the equipment has ridiculous safety horns that buzz non stop. The construction, I learned the hard way, stops at 3 am. so. If you like being hot and listening to horns, loud motorcycles, people talking in the cafe below, and Non stop safety horns, then this is the spot for you. For the other 99.9% of the world, I suggest not saying here.

PROS- Only one block from the train station at Mestre. Helpful front desk. 24 hr so-so coffee/hot…read morewater machine in lobby. (hot drinks in plastic cups). 2 PCs for guests in lobby. Big breakfast array included in room price. 7th floor room had sliding doors to a balcony - no great view, but still nice to have more space for a small room. NICE toiletries in bathroom. I got sick while I was there, and they let me take a pot of hot water up to my room with teabags, so I was able to keep making tea in the room with hot water from the lobby machine. Fridge - handy as there is a grocery store down the street (right out of the hotel, next right on main street that goes to downtown Mestre). CONS - AC set on very cold, and you can turn it down or off, but every time I came back to my room it had reset itself to very cold. Bed ok - a little hard. Elevators are slow. One seems more reliable than the other, but allow a few extra minutes. For bus to Treviso, desk person told me I had to go to the bus depot down the street. She was wrong. The stop for the Bari shuttle (10 euros) to Treviso is right outside a ticket office around the corner on the main street. There is a permanent bus stop sign that says Bari. No ATM in hotel. If you don't want to use the one at the train station, you must walk 15 min into Mestre. (That is, the reason not to use the ATM at the train station is that people are advised to be very careful at stations for pickpockets, etc.)

First, the staff is excellent and bend over backwards to help and provide what ever you need. I arrived via train after dark and the hotel helped get a water taxi to help pick me up at the train station. I stained a jacket somehow and the staff bent over backwards to try to remove it. They did a great job. The restaurant and the 2 bars are superb. Go to the bar that is not next to restaurant and get a specialty drink. When we were there they were offering Negronis with calvados to reflect a Salvador Dali painting that is in the Guggenheim. I want to give a shout out to Alberto at the Concierge desk who helped me numerous times, including with my stained jacket. A top notch experience.

Walking distance from everything you want in Venice. They gave us a free bottle of Bellini when we checked in. Great breakfast buffet right on the water, that was included with our room for being Marriott elite members. This has to be one of the nicest best hotels in Venice. The only somewhat downside is that because this is such a nice hotel, room service and the food options at the hotel are completely overpriced. But that's the case almost everything in Venice from what we saw. If there was some more reasonable food and beverage options at this hotel i would have given it 5 stars

We inquired about it and was told it would be 45€, but to come back the day before check-out to book. We came back the day before checkout to book the service. We were now informed by a different guy that it would be 65€ if we paid by card, 55€ if we paid cash, but the lady next to the guy said it would be 60€ card and 55€ cash. What the hell? You can walk across the street and get a taxi to the airport for 40€. That's exactly what we ended up doing when we saw the price on the taxi window. There's always a taxi available from 8am-9pm so I would recommend doing that instead. Another night. We arrived around 10pm. There was a guy behind the counter that wouldn't stop staring at me as I was walking to the elevator, with my wife. I said ciao/hello. Instead of saying hello back. He asked what room number we were staying in. As far as the room. You can hear tables shifting above. They were doing work on the 400 floor and started around 8 or 9am. The blinds don't block out all of the sunlight. Needless to say. We never really got a chance to sleep in. On a positive note. The hotel is located within minutes from the high speed train station, bus stop and has plenty of shops nearby. The shower also had great pressure and maintained the temperature unlike the last 3 hotels we stayed at during this trip. WIFI is free and fast. There is a mini bar in the room, at a cost. We removed the stuff and used the mini fridge to store water bottles we purchased nearby. Even with the positives. The staff interaction was something that made us feel some type of way. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Safe and fridge in room. Free Wi-Fi worked well. Cons: The bed in room 702 was super low. It was like sleeping on the floor. Not that I was going to watch it, but the TV didn't work. Room furniture was showing its age (wear and tear). The tub side wall was high (I kept banging my foot getting in) and there was no shower curtain or shower door. The bathroom had a certain funk to it (maybe the bidet overflowed, and the scent was coming from the drain in the floor in the center of the bathroom?). On a non-hotel related note: Be careful on the number 2 bus to Venice. It's always crowded, and if a fat man tries to be helpful by telling you to scan your ticket, he's not. He wants to see where you keep your wallet. Then when the bus is moving, he fails to hang on to the straps, and flounders around to pick your pocket, getting off at the next stop. So beware and use caution.
